I've been here before a couple years ago and the hostel got a 5 star rating then. I guess I must have been lucky then with the room, this time our room was the worst. We had noise coming from every side of the room - on one side two bathrooms, people showering and using the toilets at any time in the middle of the night. Outside is a busy street and windows don't close properly. The floor in the hall is made from pebblestone, which looks nice, but also makes awful noise whenever people pull their suitcases across. Since our room was the first from the reception we heard everyone come and go. As the hostel is conveniently close to the airport, people come and go in the middle of the night as well. And at last, late at night, the most inconsiderate and noisy people moved into the room next to us. One of the reasons we picked the hostel was, because we had to leave early in the morning and their website stated they start breakfast at 3.30. At checkin we were told it starts at 5, i questioned that because it was stated otherwise on the website, so we were told we could come a little earlier and could have breakfast, since we had to leave at 5 (at the latest) for the airport. Guess what? Next morning, at 4.55 the kitchen was still locked and we had to buy an expensive breakfast at the airport.

A five minute ride to the airport. Hotel offers one way rides to the airport but you need to book in advance if you are staying here. Rooms were spacious and clean. Bathroom was excellent. Breakfast timings accommodate very early travelers. Overall, great place to stay!

This was a truly wonderful experience as it was my first night in Iceland. The warm hospitality was amazing and from that moment I knew my visit to Iceland was going to be memorable. The breakfast was superb. Highly recommended! Will definitely stay there again.

The interior decoration of the hotel is very thoughtful and beautiful! The room space is very sufficient, few have bathtubs, and spa functions! Wifi network is normal, there is gym room. Laundry service also has (charged), only after the fact know. The hotel restaurant is also very standard, and there are many beautiful furnishings. The staff are very friendly. It is a very good hotel.

This is a great stay especially if you're in for a late arrival or arrived after a long flight or an early departure. My flight arrived at 6:55 pm, and I was there by 8 pm. Once you get your rental car, the place is only 9 km away, which you can easily get to. The woman at the reception was very kind. Its got a good kitchen and neat rooms and WCs. The day I was there, the breakfast was from 4 to 9 am, which I believe is for people who are up to catch their early flights. For me personally, Start Hostel was the perfect stay to start my vacation in Iceland.

Room hygiene is OK, domestic quality, breakfast is average, there are few things, but tea, coffee and hot water are available all day, which is still very convenient. The location is 6 kilometers away from the airport and 20 kilometers away from the blue lake, which is very convenient After traveling around the island, take a break and leave by plane. When the hotel goes out, turn right and there is a Thai meal, which makes it more comfortable to eat. The room is not big, and the water for bathing and showering is relatively large. Easy parking. The hotel can sign up for various tourism projects and signed up for the Aurora Group. I was very lucky to see the 8-level Aurora, a small group, and a full-size SUV to pick up and drop off the store, which is very convenient and comfortable.

The hotel is right next to the Budir Church. It should be the only hotel around here. It feels secluded and the environment is beautiful. Food and accommodation are generally very good, but the faucet in the sink is very strange. The two faucets are independent, and the hot water is extremely hot, and the cold water is biting, so you can’t directly turn on the faucet when washing your face. , Or take it in the pool to wash or bite the scalp and wash in cold water

So he called me about an hour before the check in time started to find out if I wanted to use the room. And 'O boy' I do not regret accepting his offer to spend a night at 1x6 where Andy and Yuki treat you like Royalty. The whole stay was like an adventure and it's obvious that they have put their touch on the house with so many great solutions in renovating and decorating the house and rooms. GGuest UserAn excellent place to stay and only 9 mins from the airport. Great to stay on arrival or night before departure. We were met by the owner, Reynir. The B&B was homely, warm and welcoming. Our bedroom was the music room, where the decoration of the room was musical instruments along the ceiling. A very quirky, different kind of property situated next to the sea. I only had to cross a road to view the Northern Lights who were displayed beautifully. We had a lovely breakfast before setting off on our trip. Transfers and drops offs to the airport are offered, but we had a hired car. There was also use of a fabulous hot tub. Would definitely recommend Ravens B&B

GGuest UserVery convenient to the Keflavik Airport. An easy 15 minute ride by car. Taxis readily available at the airport. I arrived at 6:30 am after arriving in Iceland. Rooms were not available until the regular 2:00 pm check-in. But, I enjoyed a delicious breakfast and was directed to comfortable couches in the lobby on which to relax, read, and nap. The moment a room became available, the desk clerk came and let me know I could go to my room. Later that evening, I enjoyed a Cosmopolitan followed by a delicious dinner.

It's a beautiful furnished place, not very nice outdoor, it's not a hotel so it has no reception but inside I found everything I needed. I read a very large clean and straight bed, which is not easy to find in Iceland there is a sofa and a bed. Spacious bathroom breakfast already present in the room, not comparable to one of the hotel just prepared is varied

GGuest UserNicely surprised at this small gem. It is renovated but not “new” so I was originally a bit disappointed upon entering the small lobby but I quickly fell in love. Very nice staff and cute room. Loved the location in a nice harbor town very close to airport . Best part is the unexpectedly GREAT restaurant in the hotel with fantastic views of the harbor. Best grilled lamb and seafood we ate in Iceland!

The food was of extremely high quality and every dish was stunning. The massage service at the spa completely relaxed me. The hotel is in a great location with stunning views. The entire stay was unforgettable. I highly recommend this hotel as an ideal choice whether traveling for business or leisure. I will definitely stay again!

GGuest UserBooked a brief 6-hour overnight stay to catch a few hours sleep & a shower between long flight days, was worth every penny. Got in just after midnight in late June & took a pic of the ocean from my balcony, beautiful! Everything was clean, comfortable, & the staff very nice & accommodating. Hotel only a couple of miles from the airport.
