We stayed here for 2 nights as a family whilst my husband was working. The entrance to the hotel was lovely, a beautiful aroma in the air and very helpful staff on the reception. On entrance to the lifts, everything seemed clean and fresh. The rooms were large. We had a double and a single bed, and still had plenty room for a pram and our bags. The shower was powerful and hot which was lovely and fresh towels each day. There was a kettle with plenty tea/coffee to choose from. The beds were comfortable. There was a heating/air con remote however regardless of what we did, the room cooled at night time, waking our little one who likes to be snug as a bug. After night one, I left the room for it to be made up and although the room was cleaned - the bed was “thrown”together the way I could have done it myself. None of the covers were “tidied” under, making it like a fresh bed again for that evening which was disappointing. There were also a number of marks on the bathroom tiles and up on the ceiling which could have easily been sprayed and wiped down, I’m sure. Perhaps a little more attention to detail with certain things. There was an ice machine on our floor - didn’t work. However reception brought some up for us which was good. There is a lovely large bar area on entrance to the hotel. I was looking for somewhere to have a coffee on day 1 however was informed I could only have takeaway coffee as they didn’t open until noon. I found this a bit strange as there were a lot of business people with laptops who were instead sat on the couches outside the bar area when in fact, they could have had a comfortable seat with a coffee in the bar area. Maybe something to think about? It’s a shame as I had met up with a group of 6 of us plus our kids and we would have all ordered food and drink but instead had to make our way to Starbucks.

Stayed at The Caledonian Aberdeen as a birthday treat whilst out seeing a friend. The rooms are clean, if a little dated, but the TV is massive and has HDMI ports and Android casting. Biggest thing about this stay though was the service at the bar. The food was good and 5g4 service exceptional. Sophie was amazing. Single-handedly manning the bar and never showing any sign of stress as more and more customers arrived. Each customer was cordially greated and all were given exceptional attention throughout their bar experience. Highly recommended.

While our room rates won't break the bank, attention to detail is always high. With the comfort of Sweet Beds in every room, lightning-quick free fibre Wi-Fi throughout, and one of the most varied breakfast spreads you'll find in any hotel, customers are regularly surprised at just how much they get for what they pay. Oh, and you don't have to check out until noon, so you can enjoy a lazy start and an unhurried breakfast.
We are also a cashless property and are right in the city Centre LEZ area.

Lovely country house hotel on the southern edge of Aberdeen with easy access to city.
Welcoming hotel with a very traditional feel in the main building. Bedrooms are modern and our Standard room was well equipped with a large double bed and plenty of tea coffee etc. The hotel is dog friendly for a small charge. We had lovely cooked breakfasts and continental also available. We ate breakfast in the drawing room, as dogs understandably not allowed in main restaurant. We only ate in the bar area one evening which was cosy and fast service. Friendly staff and nice touch of a Birthday platter delivered to room in recognition of a significant Birthday being celebrated.

Stayed here over a month in July. Was a wonderful place to explore Aberdeen, Deeside and Speyside. The hotel is situated in central Aberdeen just off Union street. It’s s new property in a pedestrian area with a parking area below. Unfortunately the parking area is a) hard to get to (mapping software such as Google maps cannot find it) and b) not directly linked to the hotel ( staff can access the area outside the parking garage if access elevator access is required - just buzz the hotel and ask). Not sure at all why it was designed this way as it’s a simple change of doors to allow customer access to the hotel with a key card, and still allow staff access to their restricted areas. Customer service at the hotel was excellent in all areas: front-desk, bar staff, restaurant and housekeeping - impressive. Room was comfortable if a little compact compared to some Residence Inns. The room lacked a few cooking dishes/ items. None appeared to be available on-request. Breakfast was great with an extensive selection plus additional items available to order. Cooking is easy as easy to prepare meals & groceries are very easy to stock as there is a Marks& Spencer food hall less than 100 yards/meters away.

GGuest UserLovely hotel lovely breakfast and hassle free check-in and out. Disappointed with the £10 car park charge!!!!
GGuest UserClean hotel with nice big rooms and great facilities, the microwave and fridge were great added extras. My husband has a weird obsession with showers so he loved the rain shower haha. The staff we dealt with were all very friendly too. We will definitely be back again.
GGEThe small sink is so cute! !! If you catch a flight the next day, it is a good choice for classmates and parents. A 10-minute walk from the hotel to the airport is very convenient, and you can get up late in the morning.
[Location] The hotel is next to Aberdeen Airport, 10 minutes away. If you enter the city, take a taxi: 01224 494949, which is about 15-20 pounds. The bus is also very convenient. It takes 727 to walk for 3 minutes, and the one-way fare is 3.5 pounds.
[Health] Very clean hotel
[Value for money] High value for money, newer equipment, the cheapest Courtyard hotel in the UK is 600 yuan a night (may be slightly more expensive in November, winter and summer)
[wifi] Wi-Fi is free
[Room size] The room size is normal, not big, but not small. Two people will not feel crowded when staying. Better than too many European Hiltons.
[Parking] You can park downstairs
[Service] The ladies at the front desk are so warm and tender that they can melt into their sweet smiles. When you stay in Scotland for a long time, you will have a glass heart. Because the Scottish people are too enthusiastic, London will not, and the front desk will not answer (not for the Chinese but for everyone).
GGuest UserAfter a terrible coach journey from Sheffield I was welcomed by Steve after midnight. My breakfast order was taken and I was shown to my single room No5 on the ground floor. The room was small with single bed, hanging space, draws, hairdryer, kettle & tv. The bed was very comfortable and the curtains blocked out the light. I was woken by a rattling room door. I shoved a chair against it to stop it. I heard no road noise. The shared loo & shower room was shabby but the shower was powerful hot & clean. I had clean towels everyday. Breakfast was lovely but basic (no baked beans or sausage) cheese omelet was delicious. I had fresh orange and coffee. Steve was lovely and friendly and chatted every morning. I bought a weekly bus pass and explored Aberdeen all week from this great base and will return. With a little TLC to replace light bulbs & rusty radiators i would have given 5 stars. All in all a lovely traditional B&B
KkaurEverything is very awesome. Fully cleaned room with all essential things. This is perfect hotel for staying . It just little far away from railway station but I really liked all the things. Really good.
GGuest UserBooked this hotel whilst on a business trip to Aberdeen and usually like the Village hotel brand. The hotel itself is a modern village style hotel. We arrived late on a Sunday evening and the first experience with a staff member on reception wasn't great and a really abrupt check in. Was allocated a room on the first floor, 123. The room itself was nicely decorated and perfectly adequate. The issue came at 5:30am the next morning when incredibly loud bangs and noises were heard in the room. I thought it coild just be another guest above me getting up, but these noises continued and got louder. Then I looked at some reviews and realised I was right above the gym and multiple guest had suffered the same misfortune. The view from the window was also nonexistent and looked out directly on a small gravel area and then another wall. Hardly a great view of Aberdeen. The same staff member was on reception leading to a very unapologetic conversation regarding changing room for my final night. Was advised to sort when I returned in the evening. Thankfully a different staff member in the evening and the room was changed to a room on the 4th floor. Thankfully there was now a view, if you take out the huge gym roof. Hoping for no noise, I settled back down but then I woke at 6am and was still about to hear pumping music and the obvious sound of a gym instructor - from the 4th floor. I did have my window open for fresh air but even so - I was 4 floors up! Maybe it's an issue for all rooms facing the gym roof, not sure if the rooms the other side might have even better? Don't think I'll stay again!
GGuest UserI booked the Station Hotel for a work trip the last week of September. I was looking for something close to the City Centre, and online, the Station seemed to fit the bill. Based on photos on their website, I thought the Station was a small, boutique hotel. This is not the case--first of all, the hotel is much larger than I would have thought. Secondly, while I'm sure some of the rooms have been refurbished and photographed for the website, the ones my coworker and I stayed in had not- or at least not to the degree I would have expected. My room was plain, but fairly clean. I had two working windows and a bathroom that appeared recently updated (though lacking a working light over the mirror and an exhaust system for the steam). The toilet glugged randomly (I'm guessing when other nearby guests used the facilities) and the floor was a bit creaky. To me, this was mostly the slightly wonky charm of an old building. However, my coworker's room (directly across the hall from mine) contained a shower stall and hairdryer straight from the 70s, stained carpeting and upholstery, and what looked like mouse droppings in the bathroom. When she asked for a different room, she was told there were none available. Some other notable experiences: to get to our rooms, we had to go through a series of twists and turns, and through a door plastered with ”Danger: Asbestos” tape. My coworker put up her Do Not Disturb sign, and so received a bag of linens, towels, and toilet paper that were soaking wet. On the third day of our stay, we trundled up to our rooms to discover that the locks had been changed with no warning or indication. This hotel does not have a fantastic reputation with the locals (our colleagues at the Aberdeen office were shocked we chose to stay there and one cabbie asked what crime we'd committed when we gave the address). I imagine your experience may vary based on if you get a newly refurbished room or not, though the customer service may leave much to be desired either way. Breakfast was fine. I wouldn't stay there again.
GGuest UserMy friends and I have just returned from this hotel which was chosen by Caledonian Travel as the destination of our mystery tour. The photos advertising the hotel bear no resemblance to the reality. To say it is rundown would be a complete understatement. It is a tip and should not be allowed to operate. There are far superior hostels! The smell of dampness is pervasive, the views from our rooms were of a derelict area and I fully expected rats to be running around, the rooms are not clean, nothing has been updated for decades, the food is mediocre at best...the list goes on. After an hour in the dining room, we were asked to vacate our seats because there were so many other guests. A woman on our trip went to reception to say that, before they had arrived, the hot tap had been left on in their room and had flooded the bedroom floor. She was told that there was no other room available and nobody could help her: she was given towels to mop it up. Furthermore, unless you take a taxi the 4 miles into Aberdeen, there is nothing else to do but sit in this dire place. We went to a nearby pub where the atmosphere felt threatening so we left. We later heard that the barman in the Britannia had warned someone else about going there. On a positive note, the staff were lovely and had to deal with lots of complaints but, I'm afraid, they had no solutions. I have stayed in many, many hotels but have never experienced anything quite like the Britannia. Avoid!!!
GGuest UserThis was a last minute booking for one night that I started to regret as soon as I checked the reviews. I booked a single room but was given a large spacious room. The room was clean and the location was excellent. I was able to find on street parking next to the hotel and get a taxi within minutes to attend an event nearby. Union square was just across the road with plenty of options for an early morning coffee before returning home.
GGuest UserThe address advertised is incorrect. I walked to the address on Union Street and had to Google search the actual location. The accommodation was actually in an alley on Rose Street at the opposite end of Union Street. When phoning the property, it was a London number, not Aberdeen. I had to find the property down an unmarked alley and a mobile number was on the door. Fortunately, the maid was pleasant and helpful.
