Good location when you using the motorway but paid parking

This is just what a hotel should be like. Friendly check in. Clean bedroom and bathroom with a good shower. Lotions and towels. Kettle, tea, coffee including decaf. Comfortable bed and TV and a window that opens. The hotel's decor was clean and modern. A good breakfast with helpful staff. Plenty of parking.

Nice welcome as receptionist recognised from last week, we had the same room as arranged with staff due to lift not working. Not everyone likes beans and scrambled egg it would be nice to have tomatoes and fried eggs for some choice on the hot buffet. The croissants were awful ! I couldn’t eat them ! I can only surmise that they had been defrosted in haste. Shame as it is for me a treat, that I allow myself when travelling 😢 However the staff were all very nice and helpful which is a plus.

Staff on arrival were really welcoming, very friendly and helpful. Hotel is ideal for breaking up travel as right next to motorway. Very handy.

We had booked an accessible room and we were contacted a week before arrival to advise the lift wasn’t working and as the accessible rooms were on the first floor did we want to rebook somewhere else and be fully refunded or be moved to a ground floor room but there is a step into shower? I asked if the ground floor rooms were quiet and I was advised she could provide one at end of corridor away from reception and eating areas. I asked if the shower in the room had a grab rail and the lady went and checked for me and as it did I said I would accept the room change. Everything was clean tidy and quiet but the bed was very small and too soft mattress for us. Also though the breakfast area was well organised I found the idea of having the Jam and marmalade in pots to spoon onto your plate not very nice as the pots had got very sticky so my hands got very sticky on using them. The rest of breakfast was good. We had booked for 2 nights and whilst I appreciated the offer of a full refund of the inability of providing the accessible room I knew it would be very difficult to find replacements at that notice , area and price. We managed but it was not as expected. Also on the second night the disabled bats by reception seemed to be occupied by some cars not displaying disabled badges. I would suggest that at least another 3 bays added on the other side of entrance would be helpful to give those who needed one a better chance of getting one. Staff were all nice and welcoming.

Handy stopover just off the M6 but very quiet. Lots of parking. Room was basic but absolutely fine for one night. Bed was only a small double and a bit soft though. Breakfast in the morning was adequate. Would consider staying again as location is very convenient and it's good value.

Would use again breakfast was nice with options for cooked or cereal very relaxing atmosphere rooms nice and clean
