Marmaris Bay Resort - Adults Only

Fabulous views and hotel. Buggies available to take us to our rooms whenever needed. Staff work hard to make your stay enjoyable. Great service, entertainment team, food variety, watersports, and relaxing spa treatments. Bus into Marmaris every half an hour or reception happy to arrange a taxi. A week all inclusive here is good value for money.

Hill climb to get to room! 143 stairs from reception to our room plus lots of sloping paths. No steps mentioned on web site. Most of the biggies were out of action. My partner now has issues with knees & back because of the stairs. Many of handrails on steps insecure. EPlus lots of splinter hazards. Little observation of Health & Safety. Cleanliness a problem. Carts used by waiters filthy. Tables wiped with same cloth all service. Spray not used! Floors were filthy especially in room & main restaurant. Never saw a mop used. Constantly had black feet in room unless slippers worn. Big issue with booking on line with sun express. Later discovered there was a fault which Tui could have messaged about on app but they didn’t. This would have saved us lots of time. Charged for seats we didn’t want to pay for in an attempt to book in. Flight times dreadful. Location is 5* but the hotel is 3* at best. Total lack of evening entertainment. Shortage of white wine in restaurant. No white wine at all 2 nights. Standard of all wine types dreadful. Food apart from salads & fruit dreadful. Constant repetition of menus especially sweets. No ice cream or sorbet available just very rich deserts. Twice panacotta frozen. Plates often not cleared until meal finished so crockery piled up on table attracting the numerous wasps. Shortage of bowls & spoons. You can’t eat cereal without either. No napkins - what was provided was tissue size, Shortage of staff. Staff & food better at Zest. Bus time table inaccurate. Waiting 40 minutes in 30 degrees plus in Maramis was very uncomfortable as no shade. Lack of toilet facilities at Zest. A shower on this beach would have been helpful. Main (quiet) beach not very clean. Zest beach was much better. Light issues in the room at night which kept us awake. Control for electric inside door flashes constantly blue light. Air con has very strong blue light. TV red light on standby very bright. All these are exactly opposite the bed. Not good for sleeping. Hairdryer had no temperature control & it burnt my hair. Slippers one size too huge for me & too small for my partner. One plus re room was a very efficient chambermaid (apart from the floor issue) No where to go outside the complex unless you catch the bus or do a trip. Very isolated. This is not clear on web site. All in all not a good experience. I would not recommend this resort.

My reviews are always honest & based on my experience, you can read elsewhere about how lovely places are from other reviews. We last visited in 2019 & loved it back then so thought a late season week here would be great. We initially thought we got a bit of a bargain, 5 star hotel for 4 star money, sadly it is now more of a 3 star experience. Its still in a fantastic location. No problem with room (567) just a little dated now, buggy from reception to room always a laugh. Lots of steps as we knew but very rickety handrails & unswept steps. Food was ok but a bit repetitive. No table service at any sittings, self service coffee via very unreliable vending machines & paper/card cups (rarely any actual cups/mugs available), often had to ask for tables to be cleared & for cutlery. Zest cafe bar is the only place with actual table service & cheery staff (more on that later). Evening entertainment now down by the beach, god knows why as the previous set up was great, acts a bit underwhelming so we went into Marmaris on the Dolmus. With only a couple of exceptions the staff are grumpy bordering on surly & good service scarce. Beach & sea terrace sunbeds in very poor condition, didn’t use either pool so can’t comment on those. We still had an enjoyable holiday but were very glad it wasn’t our main holiday & was only a week, def wouldn’t do 2 wks here. Understaffed, under maintained & underwhelming. We won’t be returning.

Stunning location surrounded by trees and fab beaches Plus points. Beautiful rooms, beach and pool areas All inclusive meals are great. Huge amount of choice and variety If you want to book in the s la carte restaurant then book before you get there or you won’t get in Cons l-ot of steps and very hilly so be aware if have limited mobility Other than that highly recommend

Excellent hotel and amenities we especially liked the spa and haman treatment we received. The staff were very experienced and attentive. Would thoroughly recommend the full indulgence treatment. The beach was private and exclusive no hassling for beach chairs, lots of room. The restaurants catered for all types of cuisine. Food was very good.
