Black Forest Inn of Adamstown

Worst place I've ve stayed in years. Avoid this crap hole at all costs, filthy, dirty and owners that don't care. Would never stay here ever again. The date of our stay was longer ago than what is indicated but I had to put in something. We were given a room that was different than the one we reserved as they said the heat wasn't working. We found hair stuck to the shower wall ( someone else's), roach droppings on the bathroom floor, mold, and dirt between the bed and nightstand. My wife and I told the Indian person in the office and they assured us someone would clean the room. Dirty, filthy liars. They did nothing and when we complained the copped an attitude. It was so bad, I contacted my credit card company and sent them pictures of the unacceptable things we found in order to get a refund. DO NOT STAY HERE EVER!!!!!!!!!

Too many people complain about low low budget motels that don't provide the amenities of high price motel. You people have no contact with reality. The Amish Country is a very touristy area and motels tend to be very expensive and B&Bs are exorbitant. Count your blessings that a motel that charges only $85/night in this area is even available; anyway, how much time would you be spending in the room? True, there are absolutely no frills, not even ice or a coffee machine, but it's clean and quiet, the AC works, the shower water is hot, and they are very conveniently located. Don't be turned off by the long-term residents, they are nice people who are just down on their luck or their health. However, I do have one caveat. In some of the rooms, the cable box is chained to the wall face down, so that the only way to use your controller is to hold it directly under the box on the wall. (#11 is such an example.) That is a deal-breaker! Tell them that you insist upon a room in which you can use the remote control from your bed or a chair. I would definitely stay here again, but I would insist upon a room where I can use the remote control properly.

Room was very clean. Water pressure and temperature was excellent.

The place was close to where we needed to be the next morning; no trouble with check in etc. The rooms reek of stale tobacco, the bed-spreads are stained, the air conditioner is noisy as it turns off and on all night. Reminded me of travelling with parents in the 1970s and 1980s (so I suppose there's some charm in that!).

I like the old style roadway inn and safety of having an outward facing door and functional windows for fresh air....

Room was clean... service was pleasant

We did not stay, one look and you could tell it hadn’t been cleaned properly if at all! I stepped outside and called the Comfort Inn to check for availability and we dropped keys in box and left this property immediately. Just to save a few bucks, never again!

It was a lot more pleasant than I expected and the shower was powerful with plenty of hot water. The bed was nice.

Its a weekly motel nothing like the site said it was. They had one guy painting his vehicle, another vehicle had a boot on it. Then the room was musty smell with a dark nasty stain on the sheets.
