Fitzgeralds Woodlands House Hotel

Perfect room, clean hotel was not let into the restaurant because of age the restaurant manager, didn’t let us eat in the restaurant. We had to order room service instead, and there was tables in the restaurant the spa was okay, but the spa staff were making dirty looks on us and reception tried to charge us extra fees!

The hotel and setting are beautiful very comfortable. The food was very disappointing. Very expensive and poor quality.

We had the most amazing wedding in the Woodlands Hotel. Our wedding consisted of a small ceremony and meal with 26 people and a party followed in the Treehouse with approx 150 people! It was such an amazing day. Every member of the Woodlands team excelled and it was a pleasure to deal with everyone. The food was fabulous. Nobody had a bad word to say. The hotel is absolutely spotless and the facilities are amazing. Thank you so much for making our day special.

My daughter got married here last Thursday. Amazing attention to detail. Superb food. Beautiful rooms with the comfiest beds. Absolutely stunning. The staff, the owners, the grounds and the amazing food. The gorgeous village of Adare is a few kilometres away. Highly recommend.

As we got ready for bed on our first night at The Woodlands my 4 year old daughter developed a pain in her stomach, it persisted so we played it safe and my wife took her to a nearby clinic. Long story short my daughter ended up in Limerick University Hospital for 2 nights and was released with a clean bill of health. The reason I tell you this is because, when I requested a taxi at reception to go releave my wife from the second night's stay in hospital, the receptionist asked me was everything OK, given my destination. When I explained our situation the receptionist disappeared for a few minutes and re-emerge with Mary Fitzgerald, the owner of the hotel. Mary was holding a bag with several sandwiches, crisps, cans of coke, bottles of water and chocolate chip cookies. She expressed genuine concern for my daughter and insisted on dropping me and my older daughter to the hospital herself. She even made a detour to her son's to make sure my daughter had a booster seat. On the drive to the hospital Mary helped put my mind at easy by telling me the pediatric depart in Limerick hospital is excellent. Thankfully our stay was for 3 nights and on the 3rd night, after a wonderful meal in the restaurant, Mary check in with us and was delighted to see my daughter had been released. The Woodlands is a fantastic hotel. The restaurant, pet farm, fairy trail Spa etc. But it's Mary and all the staff there that make it a very special place. We'll never be able to thank them enough for their hospitality and kindness.

Enjoyed a wonderful meal at the hotel in celebration of the 21st anniversary of Adare Active Retirement. The food, service and atmosphere were phenomenal. We would all highly recommend the hotel for any formal celebration. Thank you to the team for organising a successful evening.

Our room was really beautiful, everything was clean. Also the staff was very nice, especially the lady at the reception and from the breakfast waitress Mikaela. She took such a good care of us. We’re an older couple so it was really nice to see someone kind, respectful and helpful with a big smile on the face. My husband wanted to give her a tip but she didn’t take it and she said that this is her job to make people happy and to make sure everyone’s comfortable and feeling good. We were really surprised so that’s why i want to give her a shout out and if you see this. You’re doing great job Mikaela! Outside the hotel is Mary’s garden which is also beautiful and such a peaceful place. Food was also good. I recommend this hotel!
