Onbegrijpelijk waar deze positieve reviews vandaan komen. De eigenares hebben we tijdens ons 2 daags verblijf enkel gezien bij het inchecken. Ze laat de gasten aan hun lot over. De kamer is donker en slecht afgewerkt. De infomap in de kamer is achterhaald. Het eten is in vergelijking met andere restaurants in Zuid-Afrika duur en van ondermaatse kwaliteit. Je bent op een citrusboerderij en krijgt geen vers fruitsap bij het ontbijt. Kijk zeker uw rekening na !!! de prijzen in het restaurant kloppen niet !!! Graag zou ik haar hieroveraangesproken maar heb de gelegenheid niet gehad.

Tolle Unterkunft inmitten einer Zitrusplantage. Sehr herzliche Gastgeber! Das private Restaurant im Garten ist ein kleines Highlight. Man wird am Abend mit einem 3-Gänge-Menu verwöhnt und am Morgen gibt es leckeres Frühstück! Die Lage zum Addo ist super und der Garten ist ein Traum. Wir würden jederzeit wieder hierher kommen.

This property provided us with a perfect relaxing spot in the middle of nature. Everyone was nice and courteous, the food was great, the accommodations were very confortable, and the overall stay was excellent. Definitely recommended!

The accommodation itself is good, the large garden is well maintained, the dinner and breakfast were good, the staff was friendly. Unfortunately, our room smelled very musty, brown water initially ran out of the tap, which didn't make a good impression.

After arriving in South Africa, Gerald's Gift was our first stop and stay. We slept in the Hamerkop family room and had a wonderful stay here. The guesthouse looks nice and has a lot of atmosphere. The garden is beautiful with several nice seating areas and an amazing view. The swimming pool is ideal for cooling off and a nice place for the kids to burn off some energy. We found the cozy restaurant 'The Eatery' on site ideal, where we enjoyed delicious lunches and dinners. Gerald's Gift is also conveniently located near Addo Elephant park, a short drive away. Emma and her team are very friendly and always there for you. We had a great start to our trip here and can recommend this lovely Guesthouse to everyone. Hopefully we can stay here again in the future. Our thanks to Emma and her team!!
