Take me back, please! Blue Palace is a special place, on a special island. The property, itself, is the epitome of rustic, elegant & understated luxury, complete with an expansive, organic vegetable garden, serenading cicadas, and olive trees. We were greeted at arrival with a festive sweet tea made with herbs grown onsite. The beach is tranquil and inviting, although don't expect white sand beaches, but rather a pebbly beach with gently lapping water that faces Spinalonga Island, with a rich history. It's a swimmer's beach with warm water, and you can rent paddle boards, etc., from a kiosk that's a short walk down the beach. The Cretan Feast dinner is a fun & delicious way to spend an evening at the hotel. Hotel staff is gracious, responsive & accommodating. Rooms are well-appointed and relaxing. The breakfast buffet is not to be missed, with so many deliciously fresh food options (Greek yogurt bar, fresh-baked bread & pastries, gorgeous fruit, eggs made to order) , it's a great way to start the day. I miss Blue Palace, and look forward to having the opportunity to visit again, one day.
