I know many people have reviewed this hotel positively and these reviews strongly influenced our decision to stay here. Unfortunately, our experience did not match these positive reviews in any way. The Liana is essentially a budget property charging much higher rates perhaps because there seem to be fewer hotels on Naxos with such close beach proximity. Our room averaged 500 euros per night which we happily paid without complaint at other properties throughout our trip to various Greek islands. The positives about the Liana included the prompt and efficient transport to and from the hotel as well as the size of the room. It ends there. Upon arrival, we realized that although the property does “match” the online photos, they present the hotel in a manner which is generously favorable. We kindly and respectfully asked to see the rooms before committing and when we expressed our disappointment, were told that they had never had a complaint. They encouraged us to stay and were adamant that we “will like it”. We had not choice but to stay as we were unwilling to forfeit the 2000 euros we had paid but contrary to their prediction, we did NOT like it. The hotel is NOT beachfront. It is on a busy street at an undesirable end of an otherwise lovely beach. The sunloungers were in poor condition with flimsy umbrellas. Towels were not of the fluffy variety shown but rather were of the “Cham-wow” fabric used for car washing. The beach was heavily strewn with seaweed. As a result, we walked down the beach to much more beautiful beach club areas and paid for loungers and towels. Breakfast was similar to that of a US mid range chain hotel but perishable items were not placed on ice or otherwise kept chilled and therefore consumption seemed risky. We were never greeted at breakfast nor did any employee ever say hello with the exception of the bar staff on a couple of occasions. Our room was large but we could not use the deck to our neighbor being a heavy smoker so that our deck and room if we were to open the slider was polluted by cigarette smoke. Bed linens were threadbare and scratchy; pillows were old and lumpy. The bathroom mirror was streaked and spotted and the makeup mirror covered with fingerprints. I could go on. Overall, a very disappointing experience. We loved Naxos but punted the days to leave this hotel. Deluxe suite with hot tub and sea view

This hotel is a hidden gem. The on Ground Spa and Gym were great, and the breakfast was unbeatable, and on the beach. When you visit, make sure Elizabeth shows you around, and introduces you to George at the Bar. They are both prefessional and love thier jobs. The rooms also were great, and would have preffered better cable over you tube, but thats not on them...>Thats Island time. I will conclude with my 3 days were fantastic, and the rooms are spacicious, comfortable and clean.

Disappointed by our third visit to this hotel - standards seem to be dropping from previous years - won't go again. We stayed in a room in the annexe as nothing available in the main hotel. Lots of small things wrong with the room that all took longer to fix than they should have done eg LIght over basin not working Chrome in bathroom not properly cleaned for first two days Broken loo brush After first light over basin fixed - second one failed Many bare wires sticking out of walls Coffee pods in room not replenished Other problems include - formerly good beach towels now replaced with very unpleasant micro fibre sheets Beach umbrellas too small so at any one time only one of the pair of sunbeds has shade Number of sunbeds on the beach have been reduced and there are fewer sunbeds than guests so you can't be sure of getting one We raised all of these issues while staying - some were fixed though slowly. Others were not. Its sad to see a hotel we used to enjoy decline

We stayed at the Liana for 4 long days in June. We arrived after a wonderful stay on Mykonos at a 5 star luxury boutique hotel with a similar price point so we expected the Liana to have the same feel. We were so disappointed to find the hotel to have a low-budget and frankly quite a sad appearance. Everything from the lobby to the pool to the hallways to the rooms were rundown, dirty and low quality. The Liana is at the end of nice stretch of beach but the free sun loungers were cheap looking and the beach was filled with seaweed. As you walked down the beach, the loungers, beach bars, and clean sands were a stark comparison. Everyday we walked down to the cleaner part of the beach and spent extra money renting the higher quality chairs on the better part of the beach. It was annoying but we definitely didn't want to sit in the hotel chairs. Our room was dark, poorly designed and the "pool view" from the terrace was laughable since the pool was very unattractive. When we talked to reception about some of our concerns they were very defensive and one woman was even short tempered. She stated that no-one had ever complained about the renovated rooms. We felt the room was renovated but poorly and probably not by professionals. The hallway leading up to our room looked on to a weird vacant lot. Finally, the staff did not make eye contact or greet us when we passed them. After coming from the luxury hotel on Mykonos where the entire staff treated us like family, it was hard to understand why no-one even said hello. They all seemed sad to work there. We did not use the spa so can't comment on that but the pool area was terrible. Looked dirty and with only 3 umbrellas it appeared hot and uncomfortable. For the price, they need to try a lot harder. With not very many beach front properties to chose from here, I feel like they are taking advantage of travelers. Shame. We were very happy to leave and head to Santorini where we had a beautiful hotel, a lot like the quality we experienced in Mykonos.

The Liana Beach hotel and spa was perfectly situated on Agios Prokopias beach. Our room (superior suite with sea view) was spacious and comfortable. Staff were ALL very helpful and kind. We utilized the spa for massages which were amazing. The breakfast buffet was very good, and the seating area was so nice to dine outside near the beach. Bar staff were very good, and friendly, and greeted us every day with smiles and kindness. We loved access to beach loungers right across the street, and this stretch of Agios Prokopias is perfect for families. We want to say EXTREME THANKS to the reception staff who discovered we had left our passports in the room safe and contacted me asap to let me know. Although at that time I was on a ferry enroute to our next island, I was able to coordinate with staff to have our passports driven to Naxos ferry port so I didn't have to come all the way back to the hotel. I can not thank you enough, and my daughter and I hope to come back to visit again.

We booked Liana Beach for a family wedding and it was perfect. The location is beautiful, right on the beach and complimentary sunbeds. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We had a sea view room which was spacious and cleaned every day. We explained that a few of us were vegan and they prepared a delicious breakfast platter for us each morning. The reception staff were very helpful and were always willing to assist you. Special thanks to George and his colleague on the bar and the lovely young woman (sorry I can’t remember her name!) who was there at breakfast - always smiling! In fact, that was our experience of Naxos generally, everyone we met, restaurant staff, supermarket owners were warm and willing to help. Naxos is a beautiful place and I will return. The Liana is a short bus ride into the centre of Naxos but its location, Agios Prokopios, is perfect. Lots of bars, restaurants and shops a short stroll away. You won’t regret visiting Naxos and booking the Liana. A couple in our party are already looking to return next year.

My daughter and I had planned to stay only 2 days in Naxos but the hotel and beaches were so lovely we decided to stay another night on a whim. The staff were incredibly helpful and arranged for a car rental company to come directly to the hotel. We enjoyed the beachfront view from our room and the jacuzzi. It was also easy to visit beaches nearby as well as Chora - within a 10 min drive. The rooms were updated and modern. Very clean. I loved the laid back pace of Naxos that doesn’t seem overrun yet, unlike some of the more “polished” islands. A Plaka beach visit is a must and only a 5-10 min drive away. Very expansive and beautiful. The breakfast buffet had everything we could ask for. I would certainly return.*

Amazing! Can’t fault anything: the staff were incredible, so attentive and helpful. They showed me and my family lots of kindness and went above and beyond consistently. Me and my partner married on Naxos island whilst staying at Liana - the staff helped with everything on our wedding day and made it extra special. The breakfast was excellent - they made us special vegan plates every single morning and the rest of the buffet was to a high quality. The rooms (ours was Kronos) were lovely. Spacious and clean. Extra comfortable bed too! The location is perfect if you want to lounge on the beach or take a walk to bars and restaurants. There is a bus stop very close to take you in and out of Naxos. We cannot wait to return! Absolutely 5 ⭐️ experience. Thank you!

We understand it was not peak season, but a few tiny issues came to mind. One, there was not enough shade or shelter by the pool so unfortunately we didn’t get to use the pool, secondly, a lawn mower was parked on the front lawn whilst we were there by the restaurant, some weeding needed as well. On the positive side, the hotel was charming, our room was clean, bright and spacious. The view of the sea from our generous balcony was lovely and although the chairs were uncomfortable to sit on, we could have asked for cushions and I’m sure the hotel would have provided some. There was also a bar and restaurant located in the front, a lovely place for a pre dinner drink. Highly recommended.
