"Hotel Praia was a great experience , the bungalow we stayed in was clean and well presented. We stayed there for 3 days but then needed to express it and I That was not a problem it was done quickly a with no bother I also really liked that I could get my washing done too which was not expensive and came back clean and folded . The staff where great in the morning when going for breakfast they would ask if we wanted eggs omelette and how we liked it the buffet was fresh and there was plenty of choice from fresh fruit to amazing pastries!!!! . The food for dinner or lunch was great and tasty drinks were good too . You could order at the pool side and they would bring everything to you . We got to meet the owner and he was very welcoming g and spent time with us having a drink . We mentioned a few things that we thought he could add to the service and he took that all in and was thankful for our opinion Would I go back to Hotel Praia YES !!!!! I would recommend this to anyone going to São Tomé and Príncipe you will Not be disappointed . See you next year Hotel Praia Deborah ,Hailton"

"Lovely people, friendly and helpful. Manageress is exceptional - sets a high standard for her staff to follow. We really enjoyed our stay. Food and drink ordered from a QR code which helps with any language difficulties. Transfer to the airport - only minutes away - included. Car hire easily arranged. Beach literally just across the road. The rooms facing into the garden and pool have the best views."

Pestana Sao Tome

"I understand that Sao Tome and Principe is a country that's in economic transition but this hotel's 5 star rating is really insulting. The rooms are old, the food is always a terrible buffet, and the hotel reception staff is just not up to par. The wait staff in the restaurant and housekeeping staff are super lovely. I only stay at this hotel because my work makes me for security purposes but I wish I could stay anywhere else but here. It's really a 3 star hotel and does not meet expectations."

Pestana Miramar São Tomé

"I stayed in this wonderful hotel for 10 days. cozy rooms, comfortable beds. view from the window of the ocean (across the garden and the road), the sound of the surf creates a pleasant atmosphere. Breakfast, although not rich in variety, is tasty and satisfying. The baked goods and fruits deserve special praise. the staff is helpful, the pool is refreshing, the sun loungers allow you to soak up the sun. The room has a safe, bath, good air conditioning. I recommend this hotel for visiting and relaxing."

"My wife and me had a great time in Hotel Kenito. The hotel is in the city, but you can reach the most beautiful beaches in 20-30 minutes by car, which you need to rent anyway to get around in Sao Tome. The hotel is very nice, clean and cozy. The rooms are well equiped with a fridge and AC. The breakfast is very delicious. All this for a relatively cheap price, for sure the best price to value. As a European used to European standards this hotel is the ideal choice where to stay in Sao Tome. The best “extra” of the hotel is Kenito himself, who is a very friendly, nice guy, speaking perfect English. He knows Sao Tome very well and gives you very good recommendations what to do, where to go. He knows everyone in Sao Tome! Try this gem of a hotel, not that you will not regret it, you will enjoy your stay very much!"

"Great value for money. Central location, good room size, basic breakfast, A/C worked perfectly, clean room with good water pressure...nice balcony to watch the life below. The lady owner didn't speak English well, but nothing Google Translate can't resolve. The staff were very helpful and friendly. On one day, I found complementary pastries in my room, which was a nice touch. There is a nice supermarket next door that has everything you may need. I was able to walk in the night to get some food. It is safer than it may look at night. Some guests have reported noise feom cars on the street...didn't really affect me as I always carry ear plugs. It is easier to wear them than silence the world. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and would recommend this hotel. "

Sweet Guest House

"Just a terrific place. Great location for exploring on foot and you can walk to numerous restaurants and cafes. The hotel arranged airport transfers for me, which was appreciated. My room was ver comfortable, basic but good. Excellent wifi, hot water, cold AC, and a comfy bed. I loved the common areas, which inlaced outdoor seating and a kitchen. Breakfast was extra and was only ok, but it is nice to have the option. Very friendly and helpful staff."
