We booked here for our trip to the Masters. Easy drive to Augusta. Aiken is a great stop, charming city. Gorgeous home now opened up for guests. We had suite 4 with a large sitting room. There should be some How To’s or basic passwords given so guests can watch tv. Comfortable mattress, could use a blanket too. We dined here too. Great meal. Lovely setting. Peaceful. A place I wish we had more time to enjoy

We stayed at Rose Hill July 30, 2013 on a sightseeing trip to Aiken for our anniversary. We had a delightful time and the property was fascinating. The owners and staff were very accommodating and the breakfast was outstanding. We found Aiken to be a unique and charming city.

Located in the horse country of Aiken, SC, Rose Hill is a must stay. This historic estate (over a hundred years old) is a picturesque, vintage southern home surrounded by tall shade trees, colorful shrubs and beautiful foliage garnered from various parts of the world by its original owner. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable; some with beautiful views of the surrounding grounds. Rose Hill’s warm and rustic charm offers accommodations that will surely satisfy any traveler’s expectations. There are also two dining venues within the property; Sheffield’s for fine dining aficionados and the Stable Restaurant for a more casual dining experience, both offering live entertainment for your listening pleasure. Do yourself a favor and put Rose Hill at the top of your MUST STAY list.

My wife and I are new to Aiken. We asked our bartender at a local restaurant where to go for a nice Sunday brunch. She recommended The Stables at Rose Hill. What can I say ? A hidden gem that inhabits an entire block right in downtown Aiken. After a slight snafu with seating, we ended up dining in the very cozy bar and our server Patrick made us the most delicious Bloody Mary’s with guaranteed best garnish ever. Just take my word and try it. We had tasty omelettes and yummy potatoes. Then we’re Served outstanding freshly prepared yeast donuts, lemon curd filled on the house. The Chef stopped by and introduced himself and told us the donut fillings changed weekly. We will be back! PS. Took a walk around the gorgeous property and were treated to a tour of the Inn by Andrew, co -owner. It’s just a beautiful place and we will be back.

Elizabeth and the team have created an amazing place in the heart of Aiken. From the moment I arrived I was blown away by the Rose Hill teams hospitality. When I walked in the door to the main house to check-in I was greeted by Elizabeth and given a tour of the immaculate property, shown to my suite, and offered a beverage. Once settled in, two friends came to meet me for dinner and drinks. Chef Jeffrey's short rib, fillet cut steak, sea bass, mixed vegetables, and cheddar grits were all spectacular. The attention to detail around the property is unmatched and the service can't be beat. Everyone went above and beyond to ensure my guests and I had a spectacular evening. Can't wait to come back and enjoy the game room, live music, and the beautiful gardens. Shout out to Andrew for keeping the fire rolling, ensuring the beverages didn't run dry, meeting me for coffee in the morning, and ensuring I didn't leave without an amazing breakfast! Top notch all around, Mate!

We had a reservation for a cottage and were told the key would be in the door. It was but no one seemed to be on the property. We discovered we had no running water in the sink or shower. We tried to reach someone in charge for hours, with no success. We finally left and found another hotel. It's now 3 days later and we still have not had a return call. We were told by a local neighbor that the owner has left for Australia.

A beautiful venue but only one hand railing at the multi steps into the main house.. There were at least 4 two or three-step terrace levels for a wedding and reception with NO handrails. It was very dangerous and frightening.
