Hands down this was one of the best experiences of my life. Everyone at Mahali Mzuri feels like family. The food was fabulous. The chef is amazing and can take you on a tour of the garden. He has recipe books you can take home with you. Our waitress Letticia was wonderful. The game drives were unbelievable. We felt very lucky to have Kas drive us on the most phenomenal game drives. We saw so many animals including a black rhino that hasn’t been seen in the park for 13 years and the river crossing of the great migration. He has incredible skill and knowledge. I cannot recommend staying here enough. They pay such close attention to detail and care. I went with my family celebrating that I was done with a year of treatment fighting cancer. The manager wrote such a sweet note welcoming us and even my housekeeper made me feel special. Do not hesitate staying here one bit. it will be worth it. I highly recommend staying for at least 4-5 days. It was always a surprise to see what Kas would find. I also recommend going to the village and the hot air balloon ride. It is simply a magical place.

Second visit at this amazing camp. It's really amazing to stay here so close to wildlife. Excellent food and drinks and accommodation, we was informed that a renovation was coming in a few months also. The staff was amazing, extra thanks to Levi and David that took the service to the next level ⭐️

Another brilliant trip to our favourite Kenyan Game Lodge, our third visit. Not only is the game viewing excellent, twenty lions feeding on a kill surrounded by about one hundred hyaena for example, but the staff are wonderful, they simply can’t do enough for you. Well done David our waiter, Joy the ever present, and Amaiza our housekeeper, and the wonderful Mariana with her deadpan, dry sense of humour; congratulations and thanks to all you and the many other staff always ready to help and advise. How good they are was there for all to see with their diplomatic, patient, and careful handling of a particularly disruptive and entitled family. Eddy the chef was fantastic as always, not only with his wonderful menus but also in his attempts to mitigate the disruption to the staff caused by the family. None of this adventure would be possible without our brilliant guide Levi, whose ability to spot game from incredible distances is legendary, at least in our eyes. He also has an uncanny knack of knowing just where each particular sighting would appear next, meaning he could always anticipate the best position for a great ‘photo or to just to sit back and look at the wonderful animals, some seemingly close enough to touch. The Lodge itself and the individual “tents” are perfectly placed to watch the animals passing below, particularly elephants, giraffe and hippo, and the sounds of the night are clearly audible from the complete safety of your tent. Security guards patrol the entirety of the Lodge and surrounds throughout the hours of darkness and are always on hand whenever you need them especially to escort you to and from the bar and dining room after dark. The description “tents” does not do justice to the accommodation. These are very solid structures with all the amenities you would hope to find in this grade of luxury Lodge. Thanks to everyone at Mahali Mzuri, keep up the great work and we will return.

A must visit if one is going to Maasai Mara. Being in a private conservancy one gets much more relaxed sightings without too many jeeps around and also it’s a better managed experience. The guide experience was positive and we had Kas & Joshua with us who helped us find some good sightings. The staff at the hotel were very efficient and the rooms also were very comfortable with good housekeeping services. The food especially was very good and the chef & their team took a lot of care. The dining team and especially Joy there, who took care of us, did a great job. Bush breakfast experience is a must try and it was exhilarating to eat breakfast at the same place we saw lions & a leopard an hour earlier!

My husband and I selected Mahali Mzuri after researching lodges in Kenya for our November holiday. We chose Kenya in general because we wanted to try something new, and Nairobi is only a 13.5 hour direct flight from JFK. Visiting Mahali Mzuri was the most memorable vacation we have taken in our 13 years together. Words will fail to describe how special this was to us, but in an effort to try, I will highlight the property itself (utterly spectacular, comfortable, and unique), the views (you must see them live to fully appreciate them!), the game drives (Betty was kind, fun, and taught us so much<3), the spa and pool facilities (the massages, wraps, facials, etc. were first-rate), and the service (10 stars if that were such a thing). On a personal note, I did not expect to go on twice daily game drives. I imagined I would do one a day and relax for the other. I was a fool!! The game drives were the highlight of the trip, and no two were alike. I look forward to bringing my nieces here when they are old enough to enjoy the experience. For those (like me) with a fear of planes -- the bush plane situation is not for the faint of heart. It is, however, well worth the destination.

We arrived at the camp with a wonderful welcome and met our guide who would be with us for the duration of our stay Gideon. All the staff are amazing and looked after us beautifully. From the lovely housekeeping staff to Jo our "go-to person" who would attend to our requests. The tents are very well fitted out and a good size all the tents are the same I believe (or although they are having a makeover soon which I think is now needed) The weather sadly was not the best for us but it did not deter us from our wonderful stay. The Balcony is super and the views are stunning we watched many animals walk around the river edge every day. The hippos let you know they are there every lovely morning. The Kitchen Garden is a work in progress and we met the chef to walk around the garden and is great just needs time and more work but I am sure will improve in time. They told us they are building a gym within the makeover which will be very nice as we found you need some exercise after all the drives just sitting as we are very active people and as the pool was not very warm due to the cold weather it was very restricted for exercise I resorted to work out videos on my iPad! The food is ok, the breakfast could be better but I don't eat much at breakfast as I eat fruit a lot but there was not much variety and the other cooked food was all very stodgy. Overall it was what we were expecting average food but hot and welcomed after a long game drive! The Staff made the whole experience, We had a massage in the spa which was wonderful, but does need a makeover! We loved the trip and our stay and Gideon made our holiday perfect we met two wonderful American ladies who share our land cruises and we will now be friends for life so there will always be our memories of Mahali Muzri when we meet up, we even have a what app group called Gideon team! Thank you so much Gideon and the whole team for making our stay incredible! I have never laughed so much when we got stuck in the mud with the lions roaring behind us!

Our visit Mahali Mzuri was arranged by safarinut.com. There are 12 tents that are elevated above a riverine valley. They are not as huge as we have experienced at other camps but are large enough. Good ensuite with brass bathtubs overlooking the valley. Each tent has its own spacious deck. The camp is in the Motorogi side of the Olare Motorogi conservancy and there is plenty of game to see. There is an open bar, infinity swimming pool, spa and well stocked souvenir shop. I did not use the spa but since it is lower down from the tents it is a great place to get up close to the wildlife in the valley.

We’ve been in several different countries on safari but this was definitely amongst the top we have experienced. Fabulous views from all around the camp, 5 star quality accommodation, with fabulous dining and exceptional staff who catered for all we could ask for. Special thanks to Letitia who made sure we were looked after in style at every meal and very soon knew exactly what we liked. Her friendly company at meals made them extra special. Also huge thanks to our amazing safari guides, Levi and Josphat, both first class in every regard, knowledgeable, friendly, and went out of their way to make sure Faisel 1 and 2 saw and experienced all we wanted. Josphat will certainly be an asset and star for the future. We look forward to returning in the hope that both will still be there. Thank you Mahali Mzuri for an unforgettable holiday.
