From start to finish our experience at the Oblu Sangeli was incredible. It was our first time visiting the Maldives and it was everything we could have wished for and more. We stayed in the water villa and it did not disappoint. The room was beautiful and the access to the lagoon was amazing. It was great for snorkelling and had plenty of corals where we saw baby sharks, manta rays and lots of colourful fish! We embarked on the turtle snorkelling trip and saw many turtles which was wonderful! The buffet was great and we appreciated that they changed the dishes every day so you had a variety to choose from. A huge thanks to Chef Rahul who not only made excellent Indian food for us, but also became a good friend and was always so kind to us. Another big thanks to the waiter, Yathrib, who was so friendly and attentive to us and gave excellent service. This really made our experience even better. We also really enjoyed the fine dining experiences included in the Serenity plan. Both restaurants (just grill & just wok) served delicious food and a nice view of the sunset. A highlight for us was the pool as it was right next to the ocean and the view was incredible. We loved the slide leading into the ocean, that was a vey unique touch for the hotel and lots of fun at the pool party too and recommend you throw a pool party a couple times a week as it was great! We really enjoyed the live entertainment in the evenings and especially loved listening to Dee & Jay singing so beautifully! A highlight for us was definitely the excellent service from the staff. From the first day we could see that they were genuinely nice people and took pride in their job. A special shout out to the Sangs bar staff who were always kind and friendly to us. They made our experience better by just being genuinely nice people and their service was excellent! A big thanks to Pradeep and Lahiru who lead the team and always greeted us with a smile and made us feel at home. A huge thanks to Ibrahim and Madheeh who made us laugh everyday and gave brilliant service. You made our experience even better by just meeting you all. We will definitely return to the hotel in the future as it was the best holiday we've ever had! The Maldives is really paradise on earth! Don't think twice about booking to stay at this hotel because it's perfect!

I and my husband for the second time spent a wonderful week from 7th to 14th december 2018 at Smartline Eriyadu. Everything was wonderful. As soon as we arrived in Malè the boat was waiting for us and in 50 minutes took as at the resort. Romm was close to the seaside, clean, big and very comfortable with a maldivian bathroom (the shouwer was open air). We were in full board basis and all meals were very good expecially for people accustomed at spicy and hot taste, less for european but there were always pasta, fish and meat done at the moment. A lot of fruits and delicious cakes. the reef is good plenty of fish, we swam with turtle, nurse sharks ...we have done the boat trip to manta point and turtle point, so we saw mantas and a lot of turtles, it's worth spend 92 usd. I was at Eriyadu also in december 2017 and from last year they had renovated all rooms and added a kids room. I recommed this resort and trip.com

One of the best resorts we have been to. Rooms are spacious. Service is impeccable. Food is great. Price is on the high side, but I still feel we got value for our money. Highly recommended.

Overall We have recently returned from a 10 day visit to Makunudu which couldn’t have been better. We had read the reviews before booking and noticed that many people return to the island and now, having experienced it for ourselves first hand, we can fully appreciate why! First impressions From the moment we boarded the speed boat for the transfer to the island and were handed cold towels and water we knew that we were in for a good stay. On arriving at the jetty we were lucky enough to see juvenile black tip reef sharks crusing the shallow waters which set the tone for the nature based experiences that were in store for us. Once we arrived we were ushered to the sandbar where we were given a complimentary iced tea and another cooling face towel.We were made to feel like members of the family from the outset. Hospitality The level of hospitality that we were afforded was faultless across the board. It is the type of place that anticipates what you need before you realise yourself. This was true across the board from management, to the restaurant and bar to housekeeping. The arrival and departure were handled extremely well with clear communications at all stages. The room was spotless and each day whilst were enjoying an amazing buffet breakfast whilst they were busy cleaning our room and making it like we had just arrived. Food The standard of food provided was five star restaurant every meal and they easily catered for specific dietary requirements. From the buffets, BBQs, Maldivian night, standard dining and snacks we were always excited about what was coming next. Entertainment We were lucky enough to be invited to the staff party whilst we were on the island, which was quite an experience! We also enjoyed karaoke, a local singer for the evening, Maldivian dancing and some very informative talks from the dive school team which were fascinating. Dive School The dive school deserves special mention. There were three of us in our party, one who had not been diving for years, one novice with a love of all things acquatic and one novice with a fear of water deeper than 5 feet! We were all given amazing experiences tailored to us individually from the incredibly competent, encouraging and friendly team; we have all walked away with memories that will last a lifetime. Each one of us were extremely touched with the amount of support and well created diving and snorkelling experiences. Natural environment The interior of the island is lush and green. There are hermit crabs, herons, lizards and fruit bats to enjoy before you even get into the water. The house reef is spectacular and we were lucky enough to see nurse sharks, black tip reef sharks, white tip reef sharks, eagle rays, turtles, moray eels and innumerable surgeon fish, damsel fish and anemone fish to name but a few. The most beautiful holidays I've had so far. That's how I imagine paradise.   Arrival Arriving at Male airport for the first time is an experience, the airport is on an island itself and after leaving the airport all you see is clear blue water. Instead of taxis there are speedboats picking up tourists. Kagi island is about 1h by speedboat away (which is practically the better choice for Kagi, since the distance is small and water planes mean much more logistical effort. If you never flew with a water plane and want to experience it, do it on the way back). When we arrived on the island, we were welcomed by very friendly staff and bongo music which was super nice. Maria made us feel like home from the first minute and showed us everything important before leaving us to explore our own place.   Room We booked a pool villa in the sea which was beyond beautiful. The room is big and offers everything you need. Shampoo / conditioner is refilled every day, there is cream and after sun gel, you basically only need sun cream (also available on the island in a shop). The room has its own pool over the ocean and even though I didn't think I would use it, I ended up being in there every evening enjoying the sunset. Same applies for the bathtub, which was in the outside part of the bathroom, I spent some very relaxing evenings in there even when the weather was warm. The only thing to consider, the waves can be loud and crush into the outside of your pool, especially during the night this can be irritating if you have a light sleep. I usually use earplugs, so I didn't bother, but my partner struggled quite a lot. There are other villas with wave breakers in front, can't say if this makes a big difference but I guess so. The downside is the view is not the same with the breakers and for snorkeling it’s harder to get to the nice part of the reef. I would still go for the villas without breakers.   Location The island is small but still offers everything you need. The reef is extremely beautiful, just jump in the water with goggles and you see all kinds of fishes, even some small sharks sometimes. As a diver I can say, the reef was more interesting to explore than many dives I had in my life. The Spa is great and offers various treatments. There is also a modern gym and you can participate in the Yoga lessons every other day. I enjoyed the lessons a lot, even as a total beginner. I already miss them, might start doing Yoga myself now. :) There is also a small diving center. The dive guide was basically always available to us, very flexible and cool. We went for 11 dives in total and we were not disappointed. All of them were special and interesting. We didn't have to worry about anything, the boat brought us directly to the spots and picked us up after each dive, the crew was very professional and experienced. This was amazing place, even despite coming in October during rainy season. Service was exceptional from the begging- person awaiting us on the airport, speed boat transfer late evening, with nice welcome and service (water/towels/wifi) We arrived late evening, so dinner packages were ready in the room. All Incl package was nice however we missed some food in between breakf-lunch and dinner. Issue is wifi which was not working properly/everywhere. Normally i think its ok as we do not need internet on such vacations, but as we needed to work one day it was hard. Again anyways. Great service. Hospitality of staff in restaurant and bar too. Also reception who gave us a chance of later checkout. It was very convenient as we travelled with 2yrs old toddler. Room was spacious, kept clean every day properly + water bottles delivered daily. Good snorkling trips for free provided daily.

Let me start by thanking the people there who were extremely welcoming, happy to help at any time and masters in anticipating your needs before even asking for it. There is a big diversity of activities that you can easily do besides chillin at the beach 🏝: water sport (@ADAM, talk to him ;-) he will teach you things you did not know) - DIVING (@Ashref, so knowledgeable and patient) - snorkling - Tennis ( @Barbara, a world renowned champion and an excellent instructor) - Art ( resin, painting…) - yoga - spa (@Evangeline, she was so perfect .. explaining the Treatment steps and meeting your healing expectation), GYM (@Joevan) and so on … Then, the food is whole story of success .. my god these chefs !! 👏🏼 BRAVO to all of them.. I tried reethi breakfast, tapasake, earth restaurent twice for its Tuna tartare (non forgettable taste), Rah bar lunch (the spaghetti .. thank you my waiter for recommending it it was delicious ) .. anyway .. just go there hungry 🤤 Last but not least, that BAND 🥰😍🥰😍👏🏼👏🏼, That Madonna on stage (Loulou), she is FIRE 🔥..
