Great hotel, beyond expectations, the entire hotel is a tropical small forest park, very beautiful. The butler service is invincible, but the restaurant service is average. The hotel has its own private access to the X'Caret Park next door (there is a private artificial canal in the lobby, which is accessible by boat). It is very convenient to play half a return to the seaside restaurant for a free meal and then enter the park. Food is ok (all inclusive hotels are not too high expectations). The hotel is very large, so there are golf shuttle buses to various points. There are all kinds of wild animals in the garden. The monkeys climbed directly to the balcony of our room and got close contact with them. Of course, they also saw other snakes, deer, lizards and so on. The rooms are fully equipped and the beds are very comfortable. The main course of the squid in the Chinese restaurant is delicious, and it is ordered. The beach is a bit poor, but it doesn't affect the overall experience, because there are too many interesting points, and the courtyard itself has a mini Mayan ruins.

We visited Seaside Suites in 2012 for our honeymoon and I never had any desire to return, at the time I thought it was ok and nothing special. However, we decided to give it another go in September 2023 and I am so glad we did. We travelled from Scotland with TUI, transfer time was just over an hour. Check in was a little chaotic, reception appeared very busy on arrival. We were eventually taken to our room after around an hour. Now, when we visited in 2012 I thought the rooms were dated and unfortunately they remain exactly the same - immediately I regretted booking! However, the following morning we decided not to let the room dampen our spirits and we went out to explore. The resort has been extended since our initial stay with more amenities on offer. The new Italian and Asian were lovely, the food and service were fantastic. We also enjoyed the cocktails in the tequilla bar. I recently read that from July this year the Asian and Tequilla bar come at an additional cost ? I hope that’s not the case. The evening entertainment, which I felt let our initial trip down, was completely different with a better program running in the evenings. We enjoyed the beach most days , yes there was seaweed but the workers are constantly clearing it away. The beach bar at the far end was a firm favourite. We both enjoyed the spa, followed by couples massages on the beach - absolute heaven. In summary, I am so glad we returned to this resort, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit this time. My only criticism would be the rooms are in desperate need of modernisation.

Just returned from our 3rd stay @ Hotel Akumal Caribe ~ had a wonderful time. Loved our ground floor (deluxe kitchenette) room (406) just steps away from the pool & beach. Nothing better than waking up to the birds singing & enjoying a cup of coffee on our patio. You know your day is going to be a good one, when Juan (goundskeeper) greets you with a ”Hola, Buenos Dias” as he starts his day. But, then ALL the people employed @ this property are super friendly & make you feel like family each & everyday. Our room was cleaned by a very nice gentleman (forgot to get his name) always with a smile & a ”hope you are having a nice visit.” We had all our meals down by the Lolha ~ excellent food/drinks/service!! Big ups to Oscar, Willy, Rafael, Alberto, Jordy & the rest of the crew. Again, always service with a smile. Hotel Akumal Caribe & The Lolha are a perfect example of how a property/restaurant should be run & I'm sure other properties could learn a valuable lesson from them. Excelente lugar para descansar, desconectar y estar en contacto con la naturaleza. El hotel se encuentra en una zona apartada, y las habitaciones son suites perfectamente equipadas con todo lo necesario. Por ello, si no se dispone de coche, hay que llegar con todas las provisiones, pues no hay dónde comprar cerca. El AC solo está en las habitaciones. La playa está directamente afuera del edificio y es un auténtico paraíso. Las instalaciones son modestas pero suficientemente equipadas. Dispones de kayaks y material deportivo. El dueño es super amable y siempre a disposición para lo que se necesite. Hay un bar/restaurante justo a un lado (sólo acepta efectivo).
