Wonderful room, accommodating and cozy hotel. The breakfast was fresh and delicious and the staff was very kind. The concierge doubled as a bar, so we were able to order and take drinks into the room which was a nice plus. The lobby was like that of your favorite older relative who has stories about places all over the world and the trinkets to prove it. I really wish I could have stayed here longer but we were quite limited in time. It's not within the city center but if you have a car, it's literally a minute drive down the mountain.
One of the bigger apartments we stayed throughout our 10-day trip. Location was perfect! Just that you have to park your car elsewhere. We stayed in the 2-bedroom apartment. The main door was a little hard to close/lock, needs some tugging and technique. There is no lift (seems common in Iceland) so we had to carry our luggage up the stairs. Apart from that, the apartment was clean and had everything we needed. Would recommend!
In short notice, we needed an overnight stay in Aukereyri. We found Hrafninn as the Cheapest! place with available room with private bath at a price of 370 Euro.!!! We ordered the room the same day we should stay overnight. We got information of the location of the hostel. At arrival, there were no PIN code available for our room. Nobody in the reception. We called the telephone number that we found on the wall. A person said she will come and lock us in our room. After 10 minutes waiting, she arrived, and gave us our pin code. We asked if the price included breakfast?? First she said no, but after checking it, she told us that the room was included breakfast. She told us we had to walk approx. 10 min to another Hotel to get the breakfast next morning. The room was in the basement, and we had to walk down a pretty steep and narrow stair. The room was ok, with private bathroom. The sofa in the room was not good to sit on It was broken, and when we tried to sit on it, we almost sat on the floor! There was a TV, but no remotecontrol to turn on the TV!! Next morning we walked the 10 mins to the other hotel for breakfast. She sat in the reception, and we told here we are here for the breakfast. THEN she told us, sorry, I was wrong yesterday, the room is NOT includet with breakfast. You have to pay an extra 40 Euro for the breakfast!! All in All. For the price of 370 Euro, we expected higher Quality, and altso she could offer us breakfast when we had been walking 10 min to get the breakfast she told us was included in the price. Room and service was way overpriced. First and last time we stayed here.

A modern apartment hotel, the on-site parking lot can park about ten cars, but there is a paid parking lot directly opposite, only a dozen meters away. Check in with the password, the room is spacious, the dining living room area has windows facing the street, but opening the curtains will be confused with the passers-by... The noise of the vehicle passing by will also have a little impact, for this bedroom area to be placed on the inside, resulting in the door to the bed... The hotel is equipped with an efficient washing machine and drying Machine, walking to the church and the sea, surrounded by shopping streets and restaurants, very suitable for a rest stop
This is a hotel in the downtown area of Akreli. The bar is downstairs. It is open until late. We stayed very late. The room is very large. There is a separate kitchen and bathroom. There is also a large balcony. You can see the street in the city center. There is no front desk. There is a bar waiter. We arrived late, we couldn't connect to Wi-Fi, we only connected the next morning, the kitchen utensils did not have knives, others had
Mixed experience. We had to book very last minute when the Ring Road flooded and we could not get to our next destination via the Southern route. So at 10 PM the night before we had to re-route and go North and all around the island to get to the Snaefellsnes Peninsula. The good: The on line rates were exceptional, given that most hotels along the Golden Circle and Reykjavik cost $350-$450. This was $160 including breakfast. We were very grateful they could accommodate us. The location was excellent and we were able to park outside of the hotel even though we arrived close to 9 PM. Lovely funky lobby-mixture of traditional/historical and fun modern touches. Great windows and very inviting and large. The mixed: Our room had a low sloping roof on one side of the bed, and it would be easy to seriously injure yourself in the middle of the night. Quite tiny, but fine for one night. The breakfast offerings were only fair and the breakfast room is so tiny, that you have to carry your food from the breakfast room to the lobby where there are nice tables to sit and eat. But each time you needed something, you had to walk across the lobby, up the stairs and wait in line to get something. Offerings were very limited compared to elaborate buffet breakfasts at other hotels where we stayed. Nothing hot except coffee. As mentioned, the view of the water is partially obstructed by a bunch of new condo buildings, but our room maintained a nice view. The bad: 1)Our toilet did not flush and ran all night, starting at midnight. There is no one at the desk at that hour and we would have been too tired to move rooms anyway, but essentially we had no toilet except by going down to the lobby area in the morning. When I told the front desk the next day, she said “thanks for telling us”, but I think a partial refund would have been a nice offer. Since we had a long drive ahead of us, I was not going to make a fuss. 2) The confirmation email received at the time fo booking said that I would get an email at 2 PM on check in day with location of my room and check in code. It said that the hotel was spread across several historic buildings, so we would need information about where to go. I never got this check in email and was quite anxious when we were having dinner at 8:30 PM and no check in information. When I called, I was told to come to the front desk and our room was not in a separate building but right upstairs. I believe this confirmation email needs to be changed and guests instructed to check in in-person. We had a lovely walk around the town before checking out and a good dinner down the street. Despite the complaints, I would stay here again because of location and price.

Per il resto tutto bene, consiglio la visita.
