We felt very welcome in Rafael and Anna's castle. Room small but clean and had everything we needed. Only the shower cubicle was very cramped, but we just fit in it across. Fresh towels and room cleaning daily. Enjoyed Anna's cooking twice. Menu simple but tasteful

Nice friendly staff. Beautiful grounds which are kept impeccably clean. The chickens and cockrels are no bother. Lovely to see them looked after and wandering free. Pool area clean and sun loungers easily available in September. Rooms large and kept clean by lovely staff. I would not encourage young people who want fun and entertainment to come. Everyone seems to be asleep by 10pm location peaceful a beautiful walk through nature reserve. Hotel shuttle every 30 mins into Son Bou until 7.30...taxi back €7.50 Food pretty good. We went self catering and had dinner 3 times at €21 pp. Same price as an average meal in Son Bou but with more choice. Alcahol not included with meals. Bottle of wine €16-25. Lovely relaxing holiday for the middle aged and older or those with young children going to bed early. We will be back as we like the peacefulness, cleanliness, rooms and food.

We booked 2 nights at the beginning of our tour of Menorca and 2 nights at the end at this hotel! On arrival we were greeted by Marina who was lovely, she was very informative and attentive! She told us we had been designated room 6 for both our stays! The reception area was very decorative and charming with the original old wall! Marina showed us the rooftop, it all looked like it needed work doing too it, not well maintained or clean looking! On entering our room 6, it was modern but not done to a high standard it was a bit tacky! It was very scruffy, and the shower was disgusting! The bed was comfortable and the bed linen was pristine! So we decided to stay! As we were returning we didn’t approach the reception with our issues, just in case we couldn’t get another hotel when we were due to return! That was our mistake, we should have stated it was not what we expected from a 4 Star Hotel! Breakfast was just ok, no toast just rolls! Very limited selection, to a handful of berries and a small plate of cheese and ham & small plate of fresh fruit! The smallest selection I have ever seen! Coffee was very good, extra hot milk, no problem! No replenishing of items so be early! Once we had left the Hotel and moved to our next destination, we knew we could not return to the Sindic for our last two nights, the difference in the 4 star hotel we were at could not be compared to the Sindic! So I emailed the Sindic, stating why we could not return on our last 2 nights, with photos asking for a full refund! I received an email stating that I should have said I wasn’t happy, at the time! I fully agree with that, but due to the dirty shower I felt this unreasonable! They chose not too make a comment on the photos and said they would refund 1 night!! So they accepted there was issues but still were too tight to give us a full refund! There are so many lovely hotels in Mahon that we stayed at, I would advise you to give this one a miss!

This is an excellent hotel in the heart of Mahon. The staff, rooms and breakfasts were superb. We visited on an exceptionally warm week and the hotel was like a haven when we returned after exploring. The air conditioning was so quiet and very welcome. Well had a great experience in this brilliant hotel made complete by the absolutely wonderful staff. Each and every one of them is a credit to the hotel owners. We highly recommend Bordoy Casa Ladico.

The location of the hotel is very good, with a very nice view and with many restaurants next to the port. It is a bit difficult to get there, yes, and it is likely that in high season it will be very difficult to park. Remarkable breakfast. The courtesy shower on the last day in the afternoon is a great detail to make the most of the day of departure. The service very attentive.

Would not holiday anywhere else.From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave your are made to feel like your holiday is special.Reception staff are top notch.Veronica and her team go above and beyond.Our son has mobility issues and they arranged wheelchair hire for us.Paul and Miguel at the pool bar and restaurant are fantastic as is the young lady that works there(didn't get her name sorry).They cleaners are so friendly too.As for the local area the people are so nice.The girls in the supermarket next door are great.The lady who works there(wears glasses) wil help you out as much as she can with anything you would like to know.We came with two special needs young adults and nobody judge.We loved it so much we are returning next year.

Overall, a good value place to stay. As other reviews have said, the decor is a little dated, but perfectly acceptable, and the apartment was as clean as one would hope. End of June was unexpectedly quiet, but in a good way. Bus to Mahon runs hourly from the bottom of the road (5 mins walk) and is Euro 1.80 each way. Plenty of space to park if you hire a car. Some great restaurants in the town (recommend Casa Fermin) and a great beach. Only minor issue was the air-con wasn't great, but hey ... it's 32 degrees in June in the Med ... so we knew what to expect. Breeze through the apartment cooled it in the day, just a bit warm overnight. Would definitely go back.

This was a return visit to this lovely hotel but after seeing the hotel improve year after year we were left slightly disappointed this year and felt there had been some cost cutting. Food in the restaurants was not of such good quality and often only lukewarm. Water served in the restaurants was only filtered water and not spring water and expensive at €2.75 a bottle. Also I had a Negroni by the pool and it was half the size it was last year and expensive as all the drinks are in the hotel. Another cut back is the turndown service has stopped which also gave you little treats. The room we had on the 6th floor and had a panoramic sea view and had a refit since last year and was very clean and comfortable .The TV had 4 English channels and the WiFi was good. The air conditioning was quiet and very efficient. The cleaners do a fantastic job of cleaning the rooms and all areas of the hotel .It would be nice to have a Coffee pod machine in the room as we as the existing kettle. The hotel is in a good position on what we think is the best resort The hotel is in a fantastic position and just need a few improvements to be fantastic again,it was quite late in the season but the weather was good with only a small amount of rain . Despite the negatives the hotel is very good and I hope the negatives will be addressed making it fantastic hotel
