Morgan State House Inn

Highly recommend this place! We were treated so well. They were very accommodating to us as we were traveling on bicycle. The home is beautiful. There are lovely gardens to enjoy. Our room was quiet, clean, and felt safe.

I stayed at this quaint bed and breakfast while on a quick overnight trip for a conference. I booked the night before and sent a text to the number on the website. The owner responded immediately and was so nice. I stayed in the artist loft on the top floor. It was a gorgeous room full of light. I don't a dreamy evening there reading and listening to the rain. I was able to walk to my favorite restaurant and wine store. The inn has snacks and is just so clean and well kept. The owners are so friendly. There is breakfast every morning, always tea and coffee and snacks like apple cinnamon muffins (homemade!) available. There are quite a few stairs to get to the top floor. If you have mobility issues definitely reach out to the owners and they will recommend the best room. Also, there is protected parking. Love this place! When I return I will stay. The house is gorgeous. We were in a room in the adjacent building. I would have preferred to be in the main house but the room was nice. The shower could use some updating, but overall a pleasant experience.

Beautiful, unique stay! Gorgeous room, very clean. Private Parking (+$10/day) was very convenient. Communication was a little awkward, know that if you arrive after 5pm there is not someone there for check-in. We were called several days in advance to make sure we were aware, as well as inquired by text as to our eta on the day of arrival. A real breakfast (they do offer fruit, coffee, muffins) would have made this a 5-star stay!

We enjoyed our stay at the Morgan house. The main home is more Victorian, but the annex room was very comfortable. The staff was willing to work with us on a late arrival, with no problems. The gated parking was helpful. The area was very walkable, with many shops and restaurants to choose from.

We were In this lovely old house, on the 3rd Floor, (without a lift) , in a large room, with beautiful woodwork, (where hot water takes a bit of time to come), and any one coming up or down the stairs makes creaking noises, (which are not music to the ears) along with noisy cars and Bike's outside - somehow, I don't think I shall be going back.

The annex had none of the charm of the main building and the pre-war condition of our building was not ideal. The breakfast was also disappointing. Everything seemed picked up at a grocery store. Some fresh orange juice and baked goods would have gone a long way.
