so this hotel is ok,the staff are mostly friendly but extremely efficient we had a couple of problems while here but were sorted out almost immediately. The room was very small compared to the photos we saw(very good photographer) it was clean, there were a few niggly things for us,no tv in the bedroom, which was a pain as the sitting area was very small and uncomfortable and on holiday we like to watch tv in bed at night, that’s just us though so not a huge thing for most people. The sofa was very low and very hard.my husband is 6ft 6 so a problem for him. The room was a bit dated for me probably needs a bit of an uplift. It had most things you would need, but as I say a bit small though. The bed was comfortable.I am probably being a bit fussy. We didn’t eat here in the evenings at all but the breakfast was cold I did here a lot of people saying that, however there was the usual choice of food for breakfast in a hotel. It does sound like I am moaning about it,but it was well situated for us and we did have a good few days here. The evening/night manager was very nice, had an excellent sense of humour which I would imagine in that job you would need especially dealing with guests like us. Thank you to the staff for looking after us so well

I was worried having read some of the more negative reviews of this hotel, but was pleasantly surprised when we got there. I’ll start with a few of the minor ******* first though. We arrived after an early morning flight at just after midday. We were told our room wasn’t ready and could see from the signs that check in was 4pm. I’d read about this already, so wasn’t too surprised. I was told that they’d try to get us in sooner and would phone me when the room was ready. We were given our all-inclusive wrist bands and told we could make full use of the facilities in the meantime. We never got a call and when my husband went to ask at 3.30 if the room was ready, he was given the keys. So that was a small frustration that we could have potentially had access to the room quicker to freshen up, but no harm done. Other reviews mention the size of the drinks. They are pretty tiny (200ml plastic cups) and you can only get two at a time per customer, but it’s not exactly a long walk to the bar, so this wasn’t that big a problem really. The cocktails are all pre-mixed from a dispenser, like you’d see soft drinks poured from, so I don’t think they were particularly strong, but tasty enough. There is only Superbock as the beer choice, but we enjoyed it. The biggest annoyance for us was, as mentioned in other reviews, the attitude from the bar staff. Not all of them, but a few were so incredibly surly to the point of rudeness. One man in particular refused to make eye contact with me or my husband, despite us being polite and smiley and trying to engage him. This is the biggest let down for the hotel and is the reason for my 4* review, rather than 5*. My husband’s theory was that they didn’t have to work for our custom as it was all-inclusive, and so didn’t have to win us over with their great service. This definitely wasn’t the case in other bars and restaurants we visited off-site, where the welcome was warm and friendly. I just felt like they had a genuine disdain for the people staying there and seemed resentful at having to serve us at all. I really feel the hotel needs to take on board the numerous comments about this and carry out some training with their team to help them understand how to give great service to their customers. The animation team were great though, and worked hard to keep guests entertained. The cleanliness of the hotel was excellent and I definitely didn’t see any of the concerns noted by other guests in their reviews. The room was really well equipped with a small kitchenette area, that we really didn’t need or use, aside from the kettle and the fridge for water. The bed was super comfy with gorgeous pillows. The curtains were lovely and thick and we had really great sleep every night as a result. The food in the main restaurant was absolutely amazing! Every dish was like a work of art. Believe the official photographs. The presentation really is that good. There was lots of choice. I’m a vegetarian and had no trouble every

The hotel is good value for money with multiple food options. The food is good. The pool area is clean as is the rest of the hotel. In a good location to access the new town ***** as well as other places to eat. The old town is a 10 miniature drive away and taxis are reasonable. The staff are friendly and helpful.

I loved everything about this hotel. The grounds were immaculate. The staff was polite and went out of their way to ensure every detail was taken care of. I loved our ocean-view room and that beautiful boardwalk down to the beach. I can't wait to come back!

This 5-star hôtel is quite new so they are still putting the finishing touches on the private garden going down to the beaches. The service and the food, the swimming pools and amenities are already on par with other 5-star I've been to. A lot of the food is local (avocados, salads, fruits, fish) and is soooo good. The views are stunning from the rooms, the swimming pools, the Sea Sky outside lounge and the Paper Moon restaurant... Overall what I like the most is the feel of being surrounded by nature with the hotel's garden, greenery everywhere and the relatively small height of the buildings... Thank you to the staff for this memorable week in December, sun everyday and temperature around 20° during the day...

Sao Rafael Beach
Breakfast buffet is super invincible and delicious! Especially fruit selection is especially great! The hotel will take the initiative to help parking is free. Hotel dinner is not recommended for single or buffet, the taste is very general, the ingredients are not too fresh. The sea view room has a beautiful sunrise view of the sea on the west side of the sunrise. Also saw the double rainbow! The on-site walking trail is also very convenient to walk to the sandy beach of Sao Rafeal. In the morning, it is empty and there is no one, just like enjoying a private beach. The only downside is that the spa is charged separately by number of people, and the free swimming pool also has to buy a swimming cap to enter.
