Hyatt Place Albuquerque Airport

Staff was excellent, the hotel room was clean but I could tell it was slightly older. Carpets are likely due for a deep clean, but overall it was a great stay.

My company hosted a four day event from Tuesday, September 20, 2022 to Friday, September 23, 2022. Erika in catering went above and beyond to make our event run as smoothly as possible, doing the job of multiple people. After the AC not working in one of the conference rooms for two days, Erika took the initative to switch our event to a different room with working AC. During the lunch rush in the hotel restaurant, Erika was taking orders, serving drinks, bringing out orders, and busing tables for 30 to 40 people, at times by herself, with no complaints, only apologies for being understaffed. Erika is truly an asset to this hotel, a joy to work with, and always has a smile on her face. On another note, the hotel is shabby. AC didn't work in the Lounge on the club level and at times in my room.

I recently moved to Denver from Albuquerque and still have a New Mexico Driver’s License. Upon check in I was asked for my ID and credit card. I was extremely disappointed that, instead of being thanked for being a Diamond member and receiving my two waters as usual, I was told that I couldn’t stay there because I’m a local. The staff suggested I stay at another hotel instead. I had to produce my lease agreement to prove that I live in Denver before I was allowed to check into my room for work. This “no locals” policy isn’t listed anywhere on their website, and this has been documented in my current case. I spoke with the supervisor that checked me in, and said she was the manager on duty, who assured me that Assistant General Manager JJ would give me a call. Unfortunately, I never received a call. When I tried to call him twice, I asked for the manager and he responded that he was the manager. I asked, “Hi, is this the manager JJ?” and he replied, “I’m the manager and I’m not going to give my name out for security purposes,” then he said he couldn’t hear me and started to get belligerent. I called back, he answered the phone, said hello, then screamed that he was on the phone to someone else and put me on hold. Since I cannot have my phone at my work site, I left it in the car and didn’t receive a call back during my stay. I will absolutely not be staying at this property again and will be informing all of my coworkers that the Homewood Suites up the road is much friendlier, overall more hospitable. I also hope the supervisor and the Assistant Manager both receive hospitality training. Some other issues about the property: I asked the front desk about police activity at the hotel and received a vague response, and then they brushed it off because hotel security had arrived, this made me feel unsafe. Last time I stayed at the property an individual had broken into and locked himself in the pool restroom until three security guards knocked down the door. The hotel is under construction and at one point me and other guests were made to walk under an active motorized scaffolding. There was garbage and construction materials littering the fire escape. These are very much safety concerns. Another complaint about the construction is that 75% of the parking lot is taken up by shipping containers, cranes or construction materials. There isn’t any instruction or indication on where to park.

I stay at Holiday inns everywhere I go when traveling for my company and personal. This hotel I stayed at was for the second time. For the most part is was ok. 1 problem was the bed was 2 feet away from the heating and air unit and you could not turn the fan off inside the room which it blew 24 hrs a day not stop so I was either to hot or cold. The bed was broke on the bottom when you set on it ,it cracked room 440. The. Complimentary coffee had cheap packet creamer that you can’t even use in prisons because it ignites when a flame is put to it.Im pretty sure thats jot good for you.I worked about 9 to 11 hrs a day while there,I just dealt with it. The only thing I did bring to there attention was the creamer.

The grounds and ****** were very nice. However, the music in the ****** was just a bit too loud. Heard someone else complain about that too. The hotel room was quiet, spotless, and absolutely beautiful. Nice touches all around.
Embassy Suites by Hilton Albuquerque

First the good: everyone was super helpful and accommodating, especially the ladies at breakfast. The made to order omelettes and pancakes were really good and the lady making them was so friendly and eager to please. The happy hour was also nice and the bar tender seemed to be a really good guy and was very efficient. The main desk staff were pleasant as well, no problems there. Here’s why I am giving 3 stars: The shower and shower curtain were not clean looking. The toilet bowl was the same way. I think it maybe just needs updated but it still left me with a gungy feel. Actually the whole Bathroom in general felt gross. Same with carpet. But here is the main reason why I would never come back: the water in the pool was so disgusting that I can’t even. There was no smell of chlorine or chemicals and the water was green and cloudy. Like real cloudy. So I thought it must be a saltwater pool so I swam but was still grossed out. The next day I asked the front desk if it was a saltwater pool which would explain the cloudiness and she said no it was chlorine. Girl, that pool hadn’t seen chlorine since like 1985. Ughhhhhhhh. So grossed out to be swimming in essentially dirty bath water. It was a busy pool. really hope the front desk clerk was wrong and if I find out it was a saltwater pool I will amend my review. But if this is correct, people clean up your pool!!!! So if you stay here, expect a great breakfast but stay out of the pool and don’t expect it to be a shiny and updated room because it is not. Or at least our room wasn’t. Yuck.
