This hotel has great and friendly staff. Every time you would pass one of them they would greet us with a smile. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. The only issue was inside the rooms you hear everything outside. From people talking as they are in the hallway, traffic noises outside, the elevator makes a bing noise every time the door opens. There is a doorbell outside some rooms and our son pushed the one for our room only to find out this is not a doorbell but makes the fire alarm sound in the room. That is very concerning that the fire system is not working correctly.

Hampton Inns are my go-to hotels when I travel. This is the worst one I have ever been to for many reasons. First I selected the room ahead and gave the time of 2-4 for check in. Arrived at 3 and room wasn’t available. Given another room which was fine but why ask what I want it and not have it available. Second, the area this hotel is located is kind of sketchy. Lots of homeless people and others loitering up on the corner. Third, the beds are ridiculously soft…like a trampoline bouncy. It seems like the tub had an insert or liner placed so the base was squishy and creaked when you stood on it. One elevator was out of order and the other didn’t always come up to the 4th floor when called so you had to walk down. Luckily, it worked on the way up. Once when in the elevator, we were with another gentleman who was complaining that this place had not improved since he had been here last. Said the front desk staff were not helpful at all. And last, the first morning the breakfast buffet was missing numerous items like yogurt, fruit and any pastries other than white or wheat bread. We were told their shipment had not come it. OK, so maybe that isn’t their fault but still…disappointing. There are numerous other places to stay in Albuquerque. I suggest you stay elsewhere

We stayed here on 7/16 in room 405. It was our second stay at this hotel. The check in and out staff were very good and efficient. Our room was good sized, clean and quiet. The bathroom had plenty of counter space, a tub/shower combo with decent water pressure . The toiletries were in large bottles attached to the wall. The room had a fridge (no freezer), microwave and coffee maker. The beds were medium firm and had full sized pillows. We found the WiFi slow for checking emails and web surfing. There is a business area with a printer (handy for Boarding passes), a small store area and good sized breakfast area. There is plenty of parking but the parking spots are narrow, a full sized pick up fills it line to line. Breakfast was good, typical of a Hampton but well stocked and the sitting area was policed well. The hotel is within walking distance or a 1 min. drive from P F Chang's (the parking lots connect). We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

My spouse and I arrived late to ABQ Sunport and chose this property due to the convenience of its location and a long history of successful stays at Hampton Inns. Unfortunately, this was by far our worst experience at a Hampton. The front desk person was surly, the pillows were mush, and the internal noise level made it difficult to sleep. The mattress was uncomfortable and felt as if it was old and in need of replacement. I emailed Hampton customer service the day of our departure and did receive a follow up call from the property manager the next day. He was apologetic and stated if we chose to stay at the property the night before our return flight, he would “make it worth our while” but never specified what that meant. Stated he would text us his number and to reach out to him directly regarding future accommodation. Never received the text. Will we stay at Hampton Inns in the future? Yes. Will we stay at this property again? Absolutely not..
