Motel 6 Albuquerque, NM - Carlisle Reviews

Planned on staying one night. Stayed a extra 3 days, location was great. Had access to go any direction I chose. Staff was great!

When I parked in front of my room, first thing I was approached by a homeless person asking me to buy something from him, for money, food and drink. I felt unsafe walking up to my room. When I got into my room, it smelled like cigarette smoke.

All hotels have a microwave and small fridge, but this one did not. And there was no chair for the desk. There was no cold water in the sink.

I spend a lot of time on the road for work, and often in motel 6 to save a couple bucks, so I knew what I was getting into... except the stuck me in to poorly lit back of the hotel, next to the fence with a blatant hole cut in it with a near constant stream of ********** coming through it at all hours. Not sure if they were buying or selling, but any guest expects a reasonable amount of safety during their stay, and this was a -3 safety rating. I'll let many things slide, but not caring for the safety of your guests isn't one of them. Fix the fence and give the place a good cleaning and it wouldn't be half bad, it's a shame they let it go so far.

Overall, you get what you pay for, but this place isn’t too bad. There were no bedbugs and I only saw one baby roach in the toilet. The countertop was new on the sink and looked nice. The bedding looked clean and newish, but there is no comforter, the blanket is thin. The bed isn’t super supportive and we woke up with back stiffness. The floors are so thin if someone walks by outside you can feel it in your room. The walls are thin and you can clearly hear people next door and outside. There are definitely people loitering around and homeless people around. The room had a working mini fridge, which was convenient. But it was clean, the outside was well lit, check in and out was smooth and easy, it was budget priced, and worked for a one night overnight stay on a road trip.

We reserved a non-smoking room and were given a smoking room. As a non smoker it really dampens the enjoyment of your stay. The smell of smoke was overwhelming and there were burn holes in the bed cover.

There are so many cockroaches in the room, some small, some big. Unbelievable! My friend was too scared to sleep in bed, so that he spent the night in the car. Only three lights in the room, but two of them were broken. It is ~$211/ night, but this condition is terrible .

The people working at the facility were very helpful and attentive. The rooms clean. Understand this is a value motel so I’m not comparing this to a 4 and 5 star resort but felt what I spent for the room was fair.

We should not have been given this room. There was an awful smell like dead fish as soon as we entered and flies were everywhere. There was clearly a ton of water damage in the ceiling above the shower. It was bowing so much that it was about to break. The bathroom floor had water all over it that had leaked from the room above us. It smelled strongly of urine. We left without staying the night.

Broken TV, only 1 set towels for 2 people, strange odor in room, front desk didn't answer phone, no tissues, only one small trash can for all areas.

Check in was easy and the guy was nice. The hotel, however is really very basic. No blanket, towels are extremely thin like paper, no small refrigerator, AC is noisy. Urgent need for upgrade

Very good all around cleanliness, personal very comfortable to deal with. The whole property very clean.

Bed, and room was nice. Not good lighting in the room. Not enough receptacles for chargers.

I like the property and stayed there in previous years. What I don't like is that most of Albuquerque, New Mexico has a problem with homeless people
