The Bru is like a generous maiden aunt. Whenever you need a boost to wellbeing she provides generously! The staff meet every request with alacrity. If you are mobility challenged they reserve you a parking space in their small car park. If fit both street parking and paid parking are nearby. The rooms have all recently been renovated. The views from sea front rooms are spectacular. Every comfort is provided. Dining facilities are delightful. The spacious dining room overlooks the sea. Fish dominates the ample menu, but they cater for all tastes. If you want to relax this is the hotel and Aldeburgh is the place.

Food poor, better fish and chips elsewhere, curry house down the road. Carpets and floors filthy— too many smelly dogs. Bedrooms ok although ours had something spilt on the floor. TV didn’t work properly, bathroom smelly—drains!! Beds good and views to die for. How older people are supposed to evacuate during a fire would be a mystery— stairs too steep!! An anniversary for us was spoiled by the general down at heel feel about the place and we will not be returning. Sorry Brudenell.!!

I hope the locals in Aldeburgh realise what a gem they have in the Brudenell. great sea views, wonderful staff, food that matches anywhere and so petfect for coffee, lunch, a drink or dinner, great location and wow!! well done you guys. Some maitre 'd as well.

We had tapas and the food was all very lovely. We were greeted and served by Dan (I think that’s his name) who asked what we were celebrating and when we said it was my husbands 50th that day he went out of his way to make it very special including a glass of champagne for him and a small dessert dish with happy birthday written in chocolate. The restaurant is lovely with beautiful views of the sea. It was our first visit but will definitely not be our last.

Our 5th and last visit to the Brudenell due to a real drop in service standards and issues in the room. An email sent FAO manager to address the issues and no reply. Forgotten cutlery and napkins, serving other guests who were seated after us, forgotten cooked breakfast, forgotten desserts, delays with food coming out and not being served food at the same time. Room issues - tv worked on and off only, dust on all glass shelves obviously not cleaned before we arrived, loose toilet roll holder, bath plug switch loose and hard to use. Only 3 chairs in a family room. £711 for two nights - we would have been happy for this amount if we had a nice time and not as many issues. Disappointing - was our favourite family hotel but after 5 stays we will not be returning. Real shame.

The owner of the place we were staying at recommended this place. It is bang on the beach. There were three of us and we decided to treat ourselves to the lobster which was locally caught. Wow, though not the cheapest meal it was also worth every penny cooked to perfection with a side salad and skinny chips. All the meat was hand picked out of the shell and claws and presented beautifully. We saw a chef walking past our table (who turned out to be the head chef) and he took the time to take a few minutes out and asked us if everything was alright ,and he also managed to talk us into having a new dessert that they were about to put on the menu, don't normally "do" puds but it was a yummy crumble with a hint of cardamom, beautifully moist yet still a lovely crunch and softness.. We will certainly return!!

Great friendly service on arrival and throughout our stay. Room was very comfortable and clean. Food in the restaurant (Dinner and Breakfast) was superb - very well cooked and plentiful! Highly recommended and we will return.

Lovely hotel,but the room was too warm and there was no option to open the window more than 6 inches.
