Male. Abbiamo fatto solo una notte in questo hotel , fortunatamente. Appena arrivati alle 19 .30 ci accorgiamo che il frigo non raffreddava e inoltre c'era acqua sotto il frigo. Segnaliamo il problema e ci dicono che sarebbero venuti in stanza a verificare il problema, ma non si è visto nessuno. Alle 20 30 usciamo e chiediamo se potevano risolvere il problema mentre eravamo fuori per cena e ci assicurano che lo avrebbero fatto. Quando siamo tornati a mezzanotte chiediamo se avevano risolto ma niente. Il ragazzo allora si rivolge al manutentore che si trovava all'accoglienza in quel momento e gli risponde che non aveva nessuna intenzione di andare a quell'ora e che sarebbe andato domani. Il problema che noi non lo avevamo segnalato a mezzanotte ma alle 19 30. In generale dell'albergo si salva solo la posizione

A wonderful hotel with a beautiful sea view, access to the beach (best if you bring swimming shoes) & promenade, a very nice courtyard with flowers and a seating area to enjoy your mornings/evenings. A short walk to the old town and the most important sites. The restaurant is serving very delicious breakfast and dinner every day! All the staff are so attentive and did their u**ost to make our stay exceptional and unforgettable! The reception, restaurant and housekeeping teams all make you feel at home like family! A special thanks goes to the front office: Antonio M., Antonio S., Mauro, Sabrina, Monica; restaurant staff: chef Patrizia P., Angelo, Gianpietro, Massimo, Stefania. They are all stars! We’ve just had 9 days at this beautiful hotel in a double superior room with balcony overlooking sea and pool. Room was large, modern and clean. Lovely large bathroom with complimentary products and hairdryer. Mini bar and safe also. Huge storage / hanging space in wardrobes. We asked for a rollaway bed for our daughter which was kindly provided. All staff were lovely and very helpful. Pool is large with plenty of sun beds and never an issue finding one no matter what time we went to the pool (opens at 10). We hired a car and always able to park near hotel or in their small car park. Walk to old town is a gentle 15 min stroll along the stunning seafront road with market sellers at night, bars and restaurants en-route too. Overall a wonderful stay in beautiful Alghero and will surely return to this hotel.

PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING: For our 5 night stay in Sardinia, we booked a family room at this “4 star” hotel The lobby felt like a “hospital lobby” as my daughter noted. We went to our room on the second floor - carpets were dirty, almost black in spots and cleaning products were left in the hall (not the cleaning cart, random sprays. When we got to the room- rm 215, - it was small, with four beds lined up next to each other. The bathroom was tiny, with a small triangular shower. The terrace had old dining room furniture (other terraces had armchairs). The view was mostly looking into people’s apartments/ terraces. The worst part was the beds. My husband has a bad back and these beds were terrible. I also had a very hard time sleeping and my back is now cramped up - the last thing you’d want on a vacation. For what we paid - approx $450 per night, we expected more. This hotel advertises as 4* but it is far far from it. We tried to check out the first day (Saturday) but we were told there was no manager and please wait until Monday, so we tried our best with the hotel, thinking we would give it a shot, and stayed for two nights. With our backs feeling the pain, we went and spoke to the manager on Monday morning asking for a refund for the three remaining nights we paid for at check in - she refused. She offered to find us a room at their sister hotel - Hotel Calabona. But we refused, considering that the hotel had already lost our trust in claiming they are 4 star, but at best it’s 3 star. At best. We then tried to be fair, asking for only 2 nights back (and we would just absorb the other night as a penalty) and they still refused. The manager Carla will say that she tried to offer an alternative but again, we only have 5 nights in Sardinia and were unwilling to be bounced to another “4 star” property by the same owners, when the current “4 star” was so poor. She definitely could have helped to save my family’s experience at the hotel but chose not to. Very poor customer service. I vehemently do not recommend this hotel unless you pay under say, $200 per night. Other observations are that there are no umbrellas on the roof for the pool deck so we couldn’t really use the pool for any length of time. And all of the furniture in the common places were dirty from wear. Decor consisted of travel posters in hallways and cheaply potted plants with styrofoam peanuts. They offer a welcome drink of half glass of prosecco.

I had already paid when I saw the really bad review saying not to book as it was a noisy hotel and lots of other very negative comments. But it was a lovely clean hotel we stayed in room 139 myself and my two teenage children. The pool area is very clean lots of sun beds. Table tennis ( my son beat me every time) The Bar and reception staff all very pleasant and helpful with information. The beach opposite is beautiful. We did book the beach bus and visited 2 other beaches but quite honestly the beach opposite was the best one. Breakfast was varied and the cakes were delicious! My son loved the freshly made coffee. It’s a 40 minute walk into Alghero Town we caught the bus into town but walked back and it’s safe to. Booked a boat trip in the harbour but only for half a day as it was so expensive. Only 2 negatives. It was 84 euros city tax ( wasn’t expecting that) And yes there was abit of noise I think we were above the actual kitchen. But it didn’t bother us and I would come to this hotel again for sure. 👍

Sorry, but not even close! It can be seen that a lot has been invested in the hotel, but the operating expenses are done sparingly. # Reception: + introduction tour by the receptionist; + decent Internet speed (46 MBps); + sufficient staff in all departments, friendly and professional; - an envelope for towels and restaurant cards would not cost that much. # Room: + superb sea view (no. 209), spacious balcony with comfortable chairs, clothesline and clothes hooks (!!!); + soundproofing and AC ok; + minimally equipped, in austere style; - please do something about the quality of the toilet paper and the cheap plastic cups from bathroom and room; - the very hard and uncomfortable mattress made sleeping quite difficult; - I didn't understand the purpose of the “couverture service”, with a knock on the tourists' door at 10:30 p.m. # Restaurant: - quite expensive (10€ a sandwich, 9€ a long drink); - live piano music - an excellent idea, but the pianist was more enthusiastic than skilled - pianist in the evening, waiter in the morning; - too many waiters with no apparent business with the customers. # Breakfast: + pastries, fruits and traditional food very, very good, coffee was ok; + exceptional bread; - the classic international menu without standing out, with only few hot dishes (probably due to local breakfast customs); - supermarket juices. # Pool: + with salt water, 20m long, infinity pool, sufficient sunbeds and umbrellas (more than 70 pcs.), clean and large towels; - a lot of noisy cicadas; + very well-kept exterior: lawns, alleys, plants, perfect order and cleanliness; congratulations to the gardeners; + free access to a small sandy beach (apparently arranged by the hotel), with a little deep water with sand on the bottom, nearby with an area with rocks for snorkeling; 7-8 m from the shore stones and algae but the lifeguard showed us where to enter the sea without problems. # Neighborhood: + easy to get to/from the airport (15-20min by car); + at 800m (15min by foot) from the hotel there is a small village - Fertilia with 4-5 restaurants with decent food, 2 gelateria, 1 supermarket (with everything), 1 post office, 1 ATM, all located in the center of the village/near the church and the bus station. + immediately nearby there is a running/cycling/walking track in a pine forest, nature reserve. # Entertainment: - The Sardinian Evening Party: avoid spending 150€ - the barbecue part was ok (especially the Pecorino cheese, cooked in fondue style) but after that the food was tasteless, zero atmosphere, without music and without socializing; + even if the excursions offer is limited in the area (from my perspective), it is very easy to get to Alghero (15 min by bus, 1.5€ paid to the driver, timetable in the bus station at the church in Fertilia); avoid taxis, which are a real scam: 35€ for the airport, for example; + in Alghero you will find m

For the seasonal traveler, one will not find much wrong but for the avid luxury, yet cost-conscious traveler, and Italy aficionado..… there is room for improvement. The hotel has clean decent rooms but suffers from its remote location. You will be happy if you like a quiet remote location in the middle of a beautiful nature with nothing 15mn away. It is 1:45mn away from Olbi airport and 45mn away from Algheri airport. No shops, no stores, not much entertainment on the premises (jet ski, games, kids club, diverse restaurant menus and bar...) and if you enquire about the surroundings, you may not get much information. The expensive room rates do not justify the too basic room cosmetic amenities (is there no young regional person making natural local cosmetics the hotel could promote so customers could discover and maybe sponsor?), the bathroom toilet bin lid was malfunctioning and never replaced, the shower head orientation made it impossible not to soak the entire bathroom shelves and floor not matter where it was positioned, the hotel lacked concierge services and the reception staff was inexperienced in terms of checkin (unable to multitask and asking several times the same questions to clients during a single consult which would take at least 10 mn per customer for basic requests like the checkin, a taxi reservation, a restaurant or beach recommandation… ( this is unacceptable during daytime or high traffic times). The staff (3 people at the desk) had extremely limited knowledge of local restaurants, beach local activities, shuttle and bus routes and schedules… the gift shop is very limited considering how remote the place is. And again forget local souvenirs…
