Hotel Quinta do Lago

We went with the family for a a six days break The best thing about this hotel is the Staff very friendly specially Andre, in the bar/ restaurant, Jorge the chef in the breakfast and the rest of the staff Excellent. The hotel supplies a free shuttle to the beaches. We were half board as I have said breakfast was excellent but the evening menus looked good but didn't deliver on taste or quality on my opinion.

Overall facilities are first class, the staff, many long standing, treat us as family. This is the reason we return year after year. New art work was put around the hotel and bed rooms this year which as well as refreshing, is really interesting and complementary to the overall ambience of the hotel.

Everything and everyone was perfect ! I have nothing else to say. My room was very nice. The staff were very smiling, polite and very attentive to my requests. The food offered was delicious, the breakfast offered was very complete and careful. The meeting room facilities are also very good. It was a very nice experience.

Lovely stay overall but let down by many issues that should be fixed. Our room was below the main restaurant and Lugana bar. The noise from above was ridiculous at times. Tables and chairs being moved pre service. Revellers in bar until after 1pm kept us awake. Next time we will book a room above. *******: Worst Mojito ever. Just rum and mint. I complained but waitress smiled!! Stale bread and pastries. Not good enough in a hotel that’s 5* Other guests agreed with this. At breakfast, bacon tough as old boots - but great omelette Pool bar toasted ham and cheese way below a local snack bar. Vegetables and spuds at dinner poor in quantity and presentation (seems to be a Portuguese malaise). Great fish and Lamb chops though. Slippery showers almost dangerous despite a little paper matt PROS Super friendly staff Lovely pool and surroundings Garden is top class Great location beside beach Great wines that were not too marked up. Parking Housekeeping Manager needs a kick up the rear as these are all easily fixed.

We have never stayed here before but it is safe to say we will be back. The staff are so friendly, the hotel is lovely and it smells great. The rooms are perfectly located for the pool and breakfast. It would be hard to find a fault with this place. Evening drinks are good and the selection at breakfast is fab. The men around the pool couldn't help you more.

I booked an accessible room for my husband 60th birthday ( I’m the disabled one). I emailed the hotel ahead at the end of March. At 22.30 we are still sitting in bar area awaiting an accessible room. It is the 19 th of May and the only accessible room is booked out to another person on May 23rd. We have been told we are unable to have an accessible room even though it is available for the next 4 days. I have motor neurone disease and I’m unable to get up off an ordinary toilet seat, I need a walk in shower and to be able to manoeuvre my wheelchair around the bathroom. The manager , apparently on his way back from Lisbon , has told the receptionist not to put us in the accessible room!! He wants us to take a non accessible room. Not happy. Happy 60 th birthday to my husband!!!!! Not what you expect from a 5* hotel

Super comfortable bed and good air conditioning and very friendly staff , food in the bar is super fresh and served hot.The cocktail evening is very nice as it’s very nice to meet all the staff and guests . Lovely fresh fish served in the main dining room in the evening. The breakfast is extremely good too
