Read some of the varying reviews about this hotel, decided to book all the same. Don’t bother booking on an All Inclusive basis, as you honestly get treated like second class, an inconvenience to the staff. None of them look happy, if you opt to buy your drinks, they will take the spirit bottle to you with a nice mixer..if you are on AI, they come out with a concoction of god knows what with the next from the tap. The hotel itself? Paid for a sea view and balcony, absolute waste of money, we were looking at the back of the hotel for our “Sea view” the balcony? As people have said it is ridiculously small and we couldn’t use it. This hotel backed on to a golf course, it was at the end of the *****, miles away from shops and restaurants. The pool area was shocking, in fact they need to get the green keeping staff from the golf course to cut the grass, what a mess. To sum up, we rarely ever complain about hotels and restaurants, this one was awful. Find somewhere else where they value your custom. We live in Spain, and have done for 12yrs..worst hotel we have stayed in

Beautiful modern hotel with great staff right next to the beach. We stayed for one night, which turned out to be their last night of the season, very good value. We used the indoor pool and had it to ourselves. Beautiful rooms and spotlessly clean, as was the rest of the hotel. Will stay again.

Cleanliness: The room and the bathroom was spotless and very spacious for the price we pay. Can not fault it at all
Location: The hotel is on a corner of roads. It wasn’t easy for us to spot the first time when your driving. You have to park and walk, and then you will see a sign for the hotel. There is no free street parking unless you park after 2030-0730, but during the day you will struggle. The hotel provides parking but for an additional fee. There is also a supermarket next door that serves cheap or reasonable shopping items which we used.
Service: The staff were lovely during check in and check out. The hotel had its own restaurant and the staff over there were lovely.
Amenities: The hotel has its own private swimming pool on the first floor. It’s not heated so we didn’t use it as the weather wasn’t warm either. The room had towels and toiletries provided including a hair dryer. There was running hot water.
Downside: I couldn’t say anything bad for about the hotel. For the price we paid, we experienced only the best. The only issue we had was parking since we didn’t want to pay the additional fee but other than that, I couldn’t complain about the hotel at all

We were only staying in Almeria for 1 night on a road trip. You absolutely cannot beat this location. It is right in the middle of everything. It was under a 10 minute walk to the Alcazaba. Parking is in a parking garage about 2 blocks away and it was about $20. The hotel has an elevator. Our room was nice that it had 4 single beds and the bathroom was very modern. I would have rated this hotel as absolutely exceptional if the A/C worked better. That was our only problem - our room was warm. After spending the day walking around in the heat, I could have used a cooler room. In the morning there is a typical breakfast of lunch meats, cheese, fruit & breads.

Being located at the prime location, this hotel offers easy access to shopping, downtown, and nearby monuments nearby. Enjoyed my 1 week stay at AC Hotel Almeria, Rooms are bit smaller yet, no compromise on comfort level. I enjoyed had a walk around the corner every evening, because everything is just few mins walking distance. I personally loved the town Almeria exploring maximum by walk and reaching locals, this hotel took care of my stay comfortable. There are some rooms were have to reach over stairs, which I had struggled during check-in & check-out carrying a heavy baggage. Perhaps, the hotel staff can consider allot rooms based on customers carrying a heavy luggage, it’s bit challenging to carry them over stairs (only specific rooms on each floor). Rest everything else worth a 4* rating!

It's a rather old fashioned, forgettably decorated hotel in a good central spot of Almeria. Because the hotel is situated in a small square surrounded by buildings, the rooms seem to have no special view (mine looked out onto a side street, my friend's onto a wall) and are a little dark (although this is quite normal in Spain). The breakfast buffet was modest but decent. The bed was comfortable, everything worked, I had all I needed, and the staff were generally helpful, but the vibe was fairly dismal. Also the staff seemed to be obsessed with closing windows, and there was no obvious system to stop them laundering the towels every day. No complaints, but I'd probably seek another place next time.

We had a wonderful holiday at Aire Hotel. Located in a quiet square in the centre of town with an easy walk to everywhere. The hotel is very stylish and the 'Ancient Baths' divine. I would like to make special mention of the reception staff who went above and beyond to make our visit a pleasure; I hope the hotel management recognises their friendliness, efficiency and professionalism.

There are only praises to say as opinions about this hotel, which is on the edge of the motorway.Rooms are new,the bed is enormously good as at home,certainly the decor is inexistent,the staff are laughing, The breakfast is in the average for the hotel category.Our GPS ,WAZE,GOOGLE ITINERAIRE did not indicate the way to follow then for future customers the hotel is at the exit 800 from the motorway in one direction or in the other.It is a good hotel To stay two or three nights. GGuest UserAfter spending 3 days in the local Government hospital my wife & I stayed here for 2 weeks before we were repatriated back to the UK. Excellent hotel in a lovely area with amazing staff who were very attentive professional & extremely helpful - the manager was very supportive. The hotel is situated just outside the city centre but only a short walk away. Very near the hospital & a large shopping mall. The food was very good especially the breakfasts with a variety of choices on offer. Very near to a host of good restaurants/tapas bars which serve excellent & great value for money food. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a city break at a most reasonable price.

We booked the junior suite with jacuzzi, rather disappointed as no sun loungers on our private terrace despite plenty of room to accommodate them. The room was spacious and tastefully decorated, check in staff were wonderful however I strongly disagree with a €15 room service charge, even if you only want a glass of wine bringing to you. When you pay €250 a night I expect as a minimum to be able to order a drink to my room. We ended up walking to the bar next door, a 2 minute walk and spent €118 for a delicious lunch and drinks do the hotel is missing out on extra revenue because of this ‘ service ‘ charge policy. Surely in todays day and age you should be able to order extras without incurring a charge for a standard hotel service

Aashot73We spent a wonderful 7 days in this amazing hotel. From the moment we entered the Barcelo Cabo de Gata and first met the receptionist, we always felt the great attention to us as guests, the friendliness of the staff and the high level of professionalism that they demonstrated every day. Whether it was the receptionist, the restaurant staff, the room service - everyone at the hotel was just great. As a family of four, we stayed in two spacious double rooms that were perfectly cleaned every day. The comfort of the beds is wonderful and they have all the necessary amenities. The concept of three swimming pools for children and adults is a great idea, which gives a great chance to always find a free sun lounger by the pool at any time when you go there. If you like to walk or jog, you will hardly find a better place in the area for this purpose than the beautiful palm park with special paths and right next to the sea, which is right there. We had the all inclusive package and when we say all inclusive we mean literally everything inclusive unlike other places that don't offer drinks or give you poor quality water based cocktails. The service in the restaurant was a great experience - excellent quality of food - fresh, tasty dishes and always a great variety of dishes. Overall there is not a single reason I could mention in my review. Everything was just superb.

GGuest UserJust returned from a week's holiday at the hotel having been part of a large group of friends. I cannot express enough how much we enjoyed our stay. Food was plentiful and varied and accomodation was all we needed but best of all were the staff! So friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough for us. Special thanks to Lewis for ensuring there was always enough Guinness at pool bar!... and salvatorie (as we called him as it was easier to remember) and Rosa, but actually all the staff were so friendly. Location was ideal as it was close to beach, bars and restaurants, with bus stop just up the road for a very cheap ride to the old town which should be on the to do list. We were a large group of 40+ so catering for such volume at once could have been a logistical nightmare but you would never have known it! Sad to be home now after such a great week. Well done everyone and looking forward to our return 😉 N+ K

SStan HaverYet another lovely stay in this naturist hotel and unfortunately yet another room change.
This is the third or fourth time I've stayed and each time there's been cause for me to move. This time it was the roof leaking and room flooding, as was the case previously, but at least the fan blade didn't fall out this time.
This all said it has dramatically improved since the last time and it was extraordinary torrential rain and they gave me a room swap within a few hours and luckily the leak didn't touch any of my stuff.
As always, the staff are wonderful and cannot do enough for you apart from a couple of over officiatious lifeguards who stopped textile friends getting into the jacuzzi with costumes on even though some of the antics going on in the jacuzzi where being ignored.
Sadly, the actual area seemed a lot quieter than my previous visits but that may be due to it being so early in the season.
Overall, if you are going to Vera Playa I would definitely recommend the hotel as I've loved each stay for different reasons.

Buffet libre muy rico, comida casera y muy dispuestos yo soy celíaca; y me ofrecieron alternativas si no me apetecía las opciones del buffet. Animación en la piscina y por las noches todos los días. 100% Recomendable

GGuest UserLoved my time at this hotel. The location couldn't be more perfect for my needs. I loved swimming in the pool which never got that crowded and sometimes I was the only one so had it to myself. It was interesting watching the ferries in the port across the road from the room balcony. The beach wasn't far to walk maybe 10 minutes along the promenade and I had a great time jumping the waves. The little tourist train stop is nearby which takes you all around town and by the castle. The bridge attraction, park squares, art museum, restaurants and shops are all on the doorstep. The hotel staff are very friendly, helpful and efficient and helped me with some scanning. You can hire a kettle and iron for your stay. The buffet breakfast is nice and has all your usual items, you can have your eggs made to order. They also have snacks and icecreams you can have in the bar all day. I loved my room it was calm and peaceful on the 6th floor. I had the best sleep and didn't wake in the night , better than at home. The beds are comfortable. There is air con in the room so it was nice to come back to for a little siesta. The rooms are big and the beds. There is a big cupboard and a few drawers for your things. The bathroom was nice with a bath, shower and some useful toiletries. The hotel had a nice atmosphere and I am looking forward already to coming back next year !

Great location in the beach. Lots of nice restaurants and bars near by. Pleasant staff. Rooms needed to do what the did (a bed for the night) breakfast average. Was not there long enough to use the pool or the facilities. Would stay again as it’s a great base to travel to nearby areas. Almeria was about 20 mins in the car.
