Ibersol Almuñecar Beach & Spa Hotel Reviews

Our second visit, not as perfect as the first visit as it was spoilt by noisy guests above moving the furniture around and making a nuisance of themselves until 2.00 am. Not the hotels fault, which was very good.

When you arrive they charge you for the child that already included a free child in the reservation. They charge you €100 as a deposit which is not put in reserve and the very young girl at reception answers badly as if you are illiterate. He even tells you that the Ñ is not used in emails as if you were stupid. He tells you that your daughter is 12 years old, as if you wanted to rob the hotel when he has in front of him the ID of the girl who is months away from turning 12. WITHOUT STOP OFFENDING.

Well located and the bad thing is the lack of refilling shampoo, razors, toothbrush, toothpaste, toothbrush...

Incredible room in suite 619 we will repeat for sure. Cordial treatment and the perfect hotel

This is. our second holiday to almunecar playa. Changes have been made all for the better, hotel painted etc, what hasn't changed is the staff They are all hard working and do anything to please The food is very good,with excellant choice . The only slight negative is the evening entertainment is slightly biased towards the french. We will be back because we love the hotel and almunecar

Great hotel, third year staying and had a great stay this time. The Spanish staff throughout the hotel were great and friendly as we have come to expect from our previous visits. They all really make you feel welcome. Cleaners do a great job in the rooms and all say good morning to you. The Restaurant and Bar staff are very efficient especially Oscar in the restaurant and helpful. My youngest loved him. The Spanish entertainment staff were lovely and made sure everyone is included and has a good time especially Sergio. He always had a smile on his face, getting everyone involved and spoke in all languages, including everyone. He even remembered my son from last year. Last year both my boys loved going to the kids club everyday but this year they didn't want to be involved due to the lack of activities and staff involvement. The only activities my eldest son wanted to get involved with was with Sergio or when their was other Spanish staff involved. This included archery and the mini disco. We were a bit disappointed with the French entertainers who failed to create the same atmosphere as the Spanish entertainers as they only spoke French and only seemed to have time for the French guests. Last year the entertainment was better and the staff made everyone feel involved and included. Food was good, a good variety. Bar staff excellent even at busy times, they spoke English and even wanted to learn more especially Andrea and Emmanuel.

Love this hotel and had a great stay as usual. Improvements to the hotel can be seen. Spanish staff throughout the hotel were as great as we have come to expect. Visit rather spoilt this year by French entertainers who failed to create the same atmosphere as their Spanish counterparts as they only spoke French and seemed to have no enthusiasm for what they were doing.

The rooms are quite spacious with a large balcony and comfortable beds. The bathroom is also a good size. In general Hotel Ibersol Almunecar is a good hotel, a little dated, bath with shower over rather than full shower for example, but it does give the hotel a traditional Spanish feel. All the staff are extremely helpful and friendly, however, at breakfast time they do seem a little stretched, poor guy on the omelette pass didn't stop and some food items ran out and were slow to be replenished. This isn't an issue if you're not in a hurry to go somewhere. The pool area is good, lots of sunbeds and well maintained. The sunbeds do get full and many people do leave their towels on beds and disappear! The pool rules are clearly displayed and the pool attendant will resolve this if you want a sunbed when all are taken. Location wise, it couldn't be better, just across the road from a beach with plenty of bars and restaurants around every corner. The old town is only 10 minutes walk away too. We'd definitely stay at Hotel Ibersol Almunecar again.
