My Mum and Step dad visited this hotel during a stay this month and were incredibly well looked after by the staff. Unfortunately they suffered from sun stroke whilst on holiday and the staff at the hotel went above and beyond to look after them, including driving them to a doctor and serving them food not even on the menu. Truly exceptional customer service and a lovely hotel.

Steni Vala itself is a wonderful location. Five very good seafront tavernas, great mini market, dive centre, & Sporades car hire 👍. Also two of the best beaches with in walking distance. 4 Epoches completed our stay, lovely room with very comfortable bed, delicious inclusive breakfast & most welcoming staff. We can’t judge other accommodation but we will be happy to return here.

4 Epoches is the most delightful find! It is everything we look for in a Greek island hotel. It has a lovely setting, is well cared for, and provides excellent service. The rooms are a decent size and have all the facilities you could need to enjoy a restful holiday. The staff are all very friendly and helpful: Katerina, Jack, the room service lady... but actually everyone - even those whose names we don't know. If you need a peaceful, laid back holiday in a delightful environment, then 4 Epoches is the place for you! A big thank you to everyone, following a wonderful holiday. We hope to see you again in the future!

We spent a comfortable and relaxing two-week holiday in this delightful hotel. The location is excellent: a short walk to the tavernas and beautiful harbour of Steni Vala, whilst the lovely Glyfa Beach is nearby. It was good for strolls to admire the lush forest and endless olive groves as well as bus trips into Patitiri and the old Chora. We had an upstairs room with a balcony, giving us a good view. The pool is fine, if slightly shallow.

A fantastic hotel with excellent service, nice rooms, privacy, swimming pool, helpful staff.
Extensive, delicious and healthy breakfast buffet.
Within walking distance of the beach and harbor with good restaurants. Lots of greenery.

an excellent solution for a stay in the small village of steni vala about 10 km from the port of Patitiri and old Alonissos. in about 10 minutes you can reach all the most beautiful beaches of the island Lefti Gialos, Milia, Kokkinastro, Agios Dimitios Ag Petros etc. we had a great time; beautiful rooms, excellent service and breakfast highly recommended!!

I would like, first of all, to inform you that it was a very beautiful hotel. The breakfast was very rich and satisfying and the location excellent in Steni Vala of Alonissos. The reason I give this particular rating 1/5 is the following: although the "Piperi" room was elegant, with a nice view and quiet at the highest point of the hotel, the room in question did not meet the requirements for the quality / price of such a hotel but mainly in dealing with us (customers) regarding the unfortunate services and failures on the part of the Ownership of the hotel itself. In the failures, I mention characteristics and exclusively for this particular room - so as not to be misunderstood - a) the basic negligence of the damaged socket that blew and burned two fuses with a huge risk of electric shock, b) the air conditioner that was damaged and ran like a faucet with a basin installed below it without any information what we would face when we put it into operation, c) the non-existent Wi-Fi signal where we were informed only this room had a problem, d) the bathroom smelled strongly of sewage. The most serious was the risk of electric shock, the rest ok, can happen. But I have to quote them, for information and compliance. Other than that, I would give the rating 5/5 and it's a shame. This is a small hotel with the accommodation mostly overlooking the swimming pool. Ground floor rooms have flat access to the pool, the rooms above have a balcony. The staff at the hotel are, without exception, super helpful and friendly. You are made to feel very welcomed from check in to (sad) departure! Our room was clean and tidy with no faults to report. The bed, in our room (2 singles pushed together - no complaint) was fine and comfy. Breakfast was good with a wide choice of cereals, toast, fruit, yoghurt and cooked stuff. A short walk will take you to the fishig village where there are a handful of good tavernas, a well stocked mini market and gift shop. Tassia Cooking recommended but best book as it is v popular. Short walk away is Suelto beach cafe which is surrounded by olive trees, small beach, loungers and a v chilled vibe. Our hire car was mostly unused as this is such a great area.
