Great location, spacious accommodation and never felt overcrowded. Our 2 bedroom apartment had two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large living/ dining area, a spacious kitchen and a balcony. It was older fashioned than some accommodation- but we quite liked it! And we loved the space. The site itself was not too busy- we enjoyed both pools, the pool bar and some of the evening entertainment. The site is split over two sites, accessed by a footbridge. A minor inconvenience but nothing to worry over. There was an onsite shop that stocked essentials, and a small supermarket just 7 mins away! Points to be aware of: We couldn’t get in rooms until 4 on arrival day. I NEVER saw an exception to this. Bedding is changed weekly, whilst new towels and toilet rolls are provided on 3 named days . We never encountered a beach/ town shuttle.

The accommodation is dated but clean. There are ants, but if food is put away, they shouldn't be a problem. My biggest issue was the beds, they are so uncomfortable. They really could do with putting in some decent beds, instead of metal fold up ones. It's all steps, no elevators, so would not suit some people. Apart from that, the rooms are spacious, with air con and WiFi and all kitchen facilities. The pool area was a big problem. You had to queue at 8am to be sure to get a sun lounger when they opened at 9am. This could be avoided by putting in more sun loungers, they have space, but maybe there's a reason for not doing it. The pool has a very small shallow area, so this is where most of the people stayed. It gradually goes to 2.85m, which was too deep for most people staying there. Some of the mosaic tiles were missing so people were constantly stubbing their toes. It was about 15 min walk from alvor centre, which is uphill coming back so not suitable for some. No complaints about staff. They were all friendly. Probably wouldn't stay here again, based on beds and pool depth.

The apartments are very dated but spacious and ours was clean, did not see 1 ant as others have mentioned, we had 1 towel change in a weeks stay which is pretty standard for this type of accommodation. The cleaners pretty much made the bed, left clean towels and a loo roll but nothing else was touched however not a problem for us as a couple though I imagine a family may well want a bit more. There wasn't enough loungers at the pool but we did see some new ones getting sorted the day before we left so hopefully they have taken on board some feedback. The pool area over the bridge is in a better condition than the one by reception. Overall for the price it's a decent base if you plan to enjoy your holiday out and about which is exactly what we did. I was really worried reading some reviews and didn't need to be bit maybe we got lucky with out apartment.

Omg such a kip rooms were filty, taytos even left all over the bed, definitely wasn't cleaned 😳 never again, The room was full of ants I suppose because the had food from the filt that was left there and not cleaned, had to ask for clean towels as cleaning of rooms was next to nothing..

We had a family holiday here in June. It is a good base. The rooms are large, with good kitchen facilities. Our bathroom was very dated and the shower kept dropping off the wall. The double bed smelt musty even when sheets were changed. The maids change towels and sheets 3x per week. Our view of the pool was lovely. Pool was lovely, although we did find cigarette ends and broken glass. Staff were friendly and helpful. We had a lovely holiday until the Wednesday when the festival started. There was a large group who were very intimidating by the pool, making a lot of noise and using drug paraphernalia/balloons. They also were very noisy at night. Above us playing loud music and coming in and out between 2-4am. This is a family hotel and shouldn't be allowed. Hence why I'm only giving 3stars. It is a good base to see alvor though. Beaches are beautiful.

I’ve never been somewhere so horrific. We arrived late in the evening to a hot stuffy apartment. The beds were rock hard steel frames and the whole accommodation looked as if it hadn’t been updated since the 1940s. There were cockroaches in the kitchen and the staff were cold and unhelpful. The next day we were moved to another apartment after begging the reception, this second apartment had loads of bugs in the kitchen in the cutlery drawers tags and sanitary stickers from swimwear everywhere and used false eyelashes stuck around the place. The beds were the same and the staff refused to help. We had to purchase our own cleaning supplies to clean the room, there wasn’t even any hand soap. The accommodation’s staff ignored our travel agency after they tried to reach out to rectify the issue and eventually they moved us again to another room. This third room had no air conditioning and we couldn’t open any of the doors and windows and had to be moved back to the previous apartment. While we were there we noticed several other guests having similar issues and issues including being given a one bedroom apartment after paying for a two bedroom, the staff refused to help and then charged them more money to fix it. Absolutely disgusting accommodations full of ants and bugs, will never return.

Not the worst place to stay and I know it's budget but some things like a bed that doesn't squeak everytime you move, a comfy mattress, plugs that are wired in properly and electrical items that work efficiently that should come as standard. You cannot check in until 4pm so after the flight and que at the airport you can't freshen up and you have to leave liggage in an unlocked room where other people have access. The shuttle service reads as being free but there's a charge of 2 euro per person each way. The pool area is clean and I liked how you could only access once you have a card. The liners for the sun loungers you have to rent, the hotel does nothing about people securing a lounger without using them. In the end i moved someones towel off of one as they hadnt showed in 4 hours. The room is clean enough to stay in but needs some tlc. They only change the towels once a week. It's described as a quiet fishing village, well you could've fooled me! The room is big and spacious. There's no lift and staff don't help you with heavy luggage, the steps are big and slippery lucking another holidaymaker came to the rescue. And no other reviews are mentioning the 28 euro tax your charged before you can even check in. As I repeat I know it's budget but I stayed in a budget hotel in crete last year for less money and it was of a higher standard than this. Also no one seems to mention how slippery the stones are in the town. I'd you have mobility issues or young kids I wouldn't recommend it. The water from shower comes out yellow and smells of bleach. Whilst it's not the worst place to stay I wouldn't hurry back here you can get better for less. These holiday companies are wordsmiths and can make a lump of coal sound like glitter.

Was a bit nervous after reading some of the review but DO NOT WORRY if you have booked this, apartment was large, clean (yes maids do clean and change towels 3 times a week), plenty of hot water, good shower pressure. It is a bit dated but that is no problem... reception staff lovely & friendly and always got a sun lounger round the pool. Gret location, beach 10 mins walk one way and town 10 mins the other with lots of lovely restaurants (worth checking out off the main ***** area)... ubers are really cheap too... if you looking for a great price place to stay then this is it... we would go again without hesitation

After reading some reviews was a little worried but need not have been . Our apartment was huge great to have two bathrooms. Over looking pool . Had to go across road for breakfast but no hardship. There was some noise at night but to be expected . Reception were helpful especially Suzanne when I had to get my key re programmed. I’m sure she will remember me 😀. I would definitely stay here again great budget friendly accommodation. The only thing that could improve is more sun loungers and sun shades around both pools .
