The host is helpful in reception of guest. She explained the entrance security and parking inormation in detail.
The full English breakfast was delicious and hot enough.

Enjoyable stay
Spent 2 nights here but wished that it could've been for longer. Comfy bed, clean room, tea/coffee available in room, and great breakfast choices. Alison is a great host, would highly recommend!

Short break in Ambleside
Lyndale is very conveniently located a few minutes walk from the centre of Ambleside and a short distance from the public car park, for which a free parking permit is issued. Local hikes, for walkers of all abilities, can be accessed directly.
Lyndale met all our needs - as well as the convenient location and being great value for money, it was comfortable and clean and the breakfasts ample and delicious. It is expertly run by Alison for whom nothing is too much trouble. A great find that is highly recommended!

This B&B enhanced my great walking holiday a lot!
The owner, Alison, and the staff she employed were very helpful, approachable and polite.
I stayed for 10 nights for a solo walking holiday and Alison was very willing to suggest local walks that involved great views and sights, including fantastic views of Windermere or the waterfall-in-the-old-growth-wood nearby.
Each morning I was given a decent breakfast, a hot drink with oat milk, and the option to have cereal, orange juice or fruit salad.
The parking permit provided lets you park in other specified areas across the Lake District, and the car park for the B&B is just a minute's walk away.
My room was very functional with a small kettle, a sink and a TV. My private shower just down the hall was high pressure, warmed quickly and was cleaned daily.
I'd definitely recommend Lyndale Guest House and would definitely visit again if I wanted to stay in the same area.

Good
All good apart from the very soft bed which was a bit lumpy. Also a bit of noise from the road outside. But very clean as no good breakfast.

Excellent stay, beds very comfortable and everywhere immaculately clean. Great host and breakfasts were cooled to order, with plenty of juice and tea.
