Lovely Boutique Hotel-about 10 rooms -in Amboise in the Loire Velley A perfect home base from which to tour the valley. Great location-3 blocks to the center of town. Rooms are decent size, King bed with desk and a very nice sitting area. Nice mixture of antique furnishings with modern. Bathrooms are new and also nicely sized with large shower and a tub. We had a room on the third floor in the back of the hotel overlooking the garden and pool with views of the Chateau Royal Amboise. Excellent maid service in the morning. A wonderful buffet breakfast is served at 17.50 Eu per person, but you can easily walk into town and eat at one of the wonderful cafes which typically open around 9:00. Sylvie, the manager was wonderful and attended to all our needs. if yuou come in your own car, parking is a little tricky. There are public lots and spaces all over town but you have to find a spot by yourself. There is no real off street parking for the hotel itself. We stayed for five days and would stay again. Some of the rooms are a little smaller. When you book be sure to ask the size of the room. They are prices naccordingly.

Wow. Excellent hotel.
Very Good

Traditional French cuisine with a modern touch. Very cosy place. Great choice on the menu, very reasonably priced. Very friendly and kind welcome. There was a misunderstanding with our booking. Instead of sending us away they , since the restaurant was fully booked, they offered us aperitif while waiting for the first table to be available. And it was worth waiting! Delicious food , great local wine. Thanks to Chef and all his staff.
A romantic hideaway in the heart of the Loire Valley This address is tucked away a 12-acre park with a lovely kitchen garden. This magnificent castle was built in the 13th century and rebuilt in the 16th. It is watched over by its two towers. Inside a certain bygone charm prevails. The bedrooms are perfectly suited to the spirit of the place with four-poster beds looped curtains 16th and 18th century furniture and bathrooms decorated with marble and wood. The swimming pool and vast terrace are ideal places to relax. Chef Frederic Brisset has been rewarded for cuisine and is team ensure that you have an unforgettable moment in a warm and intimate place.

We had an excellent stay at the Chateau de Pray, right outside of Amboise. We stayed for 3 nights in August 2024 in order to explore the Loire Valley. As a family of 4 (two children ages 10 and 13), we appreciated the family room that had a king bed and two twin beds. The room was very comfortable, and even air conditioned. The kids LOVED the pool and we spent a couple of hours there each evening. We did not eat at the restaurant but had the room service on one night that the restaurant was closed and it was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend this hotel if you are traveling to the Loire valley with children and have a car (too far to walk to Amboise for public transportation). This was our favorite hotel in France!

Absolutely amazing trip. From the staff to the rooms, everything was outstanding. The staff was so friendly (and all spoke English which was a huge plus) and went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of. The spa was heaven after a long 8 hour flight. There is a huge jacuzzi, sensory shower (rain shower that has set music, temp and scents that go with each theme) and a steam room. You get private access to all of these for an hour, totally recommend after a travel day. The massage was the best I have ever had and I have traveled all over the world visiting spas. The hotel itself is just stunning and we never wanted to leave. There was not a detailed spared when they renovated the hotel. We rented a car and drove from CDG and spent 4 days visiting the most beautiful chateaus and wineries. The chateau was always so lovely to arrive back to and we ate dinner there every night. Highly suggest a drink of their patio overlooking the beautiful gardens. Breakfast room service is also a must!

The hotel is conveniently located, 5 minutes drive from Shenonso Castle, free parking, clean and tidy rooms, comfortable and clean bedding, free mineral water and tea bags, and a hot water bottle. The room is designed for French pastoral, warm and sweet. The only downside is that there is no elevator luggage to be carried by yourself. A little tired
The Chateau de la Bourdaisiere- owned by the Prince de Broglie- known as the Gardener Prince- is a marvellous illustration of ecological commitment. Close to the biggest chateaux in the Loire Valley- the hotel has some 25 rooms and 4 suites scattered over the estate. It has undergone an exemplary- ecologically sound refurbishment that enables visitors to reconcile rest- pleasure and awareness of the environmental challenges. To round it off- the Bar a Tomates invites guests to savour dishes made from the ingredients picked that same day. The hotel is member of Hotels and Preference. The hotel is committed to a CSR approach.

The property is closed for business during the year over the following dates- 15NOV17-15MAR18.

The accommodation is located in a quiet manor with its own vegetable shed and a swimming pool. It is very pleasant to walk in the manor.
Like the photo, the hotel is a castle with a sense of age. The common living room and dining room are decorated in European retro style, as if back to that era.
Compared with the room facilities, the room is more general. First of all, there is no air conditioning in the room. There is an electric fan. The high temperature warning in France was very hot in those days.
Secondly, there is no trash can in the room, and there is a small toilet. No paper is provided. The shower can be sprayed with a top spray, and the hand shower cannot be fixed.

Excellent
What makes a stay all the more memorable is customer service. This Chateau exceeds in friendliness and hospitality. Olivier the owner greeted us as we checked in, every time we saw he himself would chat with us. He was so welcoming and gave us excellent suggestions for places to go and places to eat. Our room was clean, well maintained and comfortable. Our breakfast was delicious and included honey from beehives on the property. The property itself is large. We didn’t have a chance to explore but there are walks and tunnels.
GGuest UserHotel was selected by Trafalgar as part of a northern France tour. Room satisfactory and was able to sleep well. There is not enough lifts so had to go down with stairs or wait a while but used lift to go up. Water is provided in the corridors where you can fill up your water bottle from the dispenser at the end of the corridor. Breakfast which is a buffet was satisfactory. Hotel is somewhat distant from the nearest convenience store or bar. There is a pool at the hotel which appeared popular given the warm days experienced. Staff were polite and courteous.
JjamespS8622CAThis hotel has a friendly helpful staff. If you have read the reviews, you know there is a restaurant on premise. The breakfast menu there is great (on par with most other Ibis and Mercure properties we have stayed at in France. The dinner menu is primarily Italian with one or two French offerings. Unlike some reviews I read, the Pizza is very good (like in Italy good). Here are some things you should know about this hotel. It is about 2.5 miles from Amboise in the middle of an industrial park! The hotel restaurant is your only option unless you walk 1.2 miles to McDonald’s or take a taxi into town (17 Euros one way) or ride the local bus route (.70 Euro one way). We found the local bus to be a viable option - ask at the front desk for the schedule. This hotel is pretty old compared to most Ibis hotels and was remodeled several years ago. The rooms are very small (per European standard) and are clean. The air conditioning does not work well. We were in two different rooms and with the air on lowest setting neither room would cool below 29 Centigrade. The outside temp while we were there was 19!!! We complained so they moved us to the second room with still no air conditioning. The front desk looked upset and suggested we turn off the air and open the window! This hotel and most other Ibis properties do not have window screens (invented in the 19th century to stop insect borne diseases). By morning, my wife and I were both covered with mosquito bites. You should also know that it is the policy of Ibis hotels in France to switch their systems from cooling to heating - no exceptions for guest comfort. We have been staying in Ibis and Mercure properties all over France so we know them well. We next went to a Mercure hotel in Saumur and it was lovely! The air worked well there.
Very little to say about this place that would encourage someone to stay here. We were cycling along the Loire and landed on this place - foolishly, I did not check the location, and not really (not very welcoming for our bikes) It’s quite far from the center - a 45 minute walk, with no taxis available. So had to get back on the bikes to go to dinner, not a huge problem, but did quite fancy a break. The accommodation was basic and cramped for 4, additionally, it was incredibly hot and no option to open a window. The place is barren, with trees that’ll be great in 10-20 years. The pool was nice to have. Breakfast was a bunch of things from the supermarket. Avoid this place if you have another option.
