This hotel has definitely seen better days. The lobby is nice, but full of smoke (which apparently is not unique to this location, but rather common across the country). But the rooms are an embarrassment. Shabby, not very clean, and run down. The sheets are rough, and the towels are a scary gray color (I was so glad I had packed a travel towel!). The bathroom was beyond disrepair - the shower curtain was hanging by only a few hooks, and literally half of the toilet tank stand was broken off making the seat precarious! On the upside, the rooms are big with high ceilings and there were plenty of outlets for charging electronics. The breakfast and dinner (buffets) were ok with lots of choices. And the location is central. So, if you go in with the knowledge that you will need to limit your expectations, it will not surprise or disappoint.

The worst hotel I have ever slept in in my life. Dirt, dirt and more dirt. I slept twice during the tour - one room was worse than the other. Old, damaged furniture, dusty curtains, dirty windows, dusty furniture and carpets. There were no safes in any of the rooms. Some of the lamps had no bulbs, which made the rooms dim. However, the worst are the bathrooms - mold, dirt and smell. People are disgusted to wash there. Food of average quality. I don't recommend it, I wouldn't come back even for free.

Price is probably the only reason why you might consider this hotel. It's an old hotel that is being squeezed till the last drop by its owner. Things broken are not fixed. Al-Fanar Palace Hotel is located just next to a busy highway. It's not conveniently located for eating or shopping. The hotel is old. Everything including the decor and furnishing, as well as the elevators, does not fail to give an impression that it is past its prime years. The room (my room number 403) is spacious for a twin room. Lighting is good, with adequate illumination across the entire room. There is also a small LCD TV on the wall, and a mini fridge below it. So far so good, right? However... 1) There is only one chair, with stained upholstery, in the room; 2) The pillows were without pillow cover (which was rectified after I went down to tell the reception.) You might wonder why I didn't call the reception, right? It's because there's no internal phone directory in the room, which should be standard for all hotels. 3) There is no electric kettle or water glasses provided (which should be there as I checked with my friend in other rooms.) I informed the reception as well, but this wasn't rectified. I stayed for a total of 4 nights-- the situation remained the same. 4) Charging point: In the whole room, there are only two power outlets for charging devices -- inconveniently located at the corner of a wall opposite the bed. And if that's not bad enough, only one works! 5) Now let's turn to the bathroom. Again, it's spacious and well lit. The tap needs an extra bit of force to turn off the water completely. There is a bathtub with a showerhead. So far so good, except there was no hand towel (only two pieces of bath towels in crimson colour-- can't even tell how clean they are.) The following day when I came back after housekeeping had left, there was one hand towel. (Why there was none on the first day, and then it became one on the next day?) 6) There's no rinsing cup in the bathroom. There is a cupholder on the wall, and the remnant of a broken cupholder on the other side. 7) The toilet flush system does not work well consistently. It worked well the first two days, and then started to have problems. 8) After having a bath, you would want to hang the clothes in the wardrobe for the next day. This room does not provide a single hanger. 9) Now, when it's time to sleep, you might think that there should be a master switch at the bedside for switching off the lights. That's pretty standard isn't it? No, I had to walk all the way to the entrance, as the only light switches were there just next to the door. To be fair, some of the rooms are pretty decent. Yet my personal experience would only allow me to give the above comment on this hotel, which I would never use again even if I were to return to Amman in the future. In light of the quality of housekeeping, configuration and maintenance of the room and attitude of the reception, I think the problem is with its mana

Hotel e camere in ottime condizioni. Sicuramente ci ritornerei. Tutto perfetto! Offre molti servizi: palestra, piscina, sauna e tanto altro…

Pokoje przestronne, dobrze wyposażone i czyste. Obsługa Hotelu profesjonalna i życzliwa. Jedzenie bardzo dobre i czysto serwowane. Hotel posiada bar, atrium i sklep. Niedaleko hotelu są lokalne małe markety. Świetna baza wypadowa do zwiedzania Ammanu, Dżerasza i Petry. Polecam ten hotel.

Of the 2 contracted nights we only spent one, and because we arrived at 10 p.m. We had no choice. Dinner: a plastic bag with something resembling a rubbery hot dog bun with lettuce and a sour sauce and an apple. To drink a glass of water. Dirty, neglected, bad smells, rubbish in the corridors, broken elevators, ... Group trip, 25, we stood up to the guide and demanded a change of hotel first thing in the morning. Far from the center. Four stars ????? He has dropped 3 over time. If you don't want to make your trip bitter, look for another option.

Hotel with a very careful decoration, a little old-fashioned, the room very spacious and clean. The bad point is that the food does not have a buffet and they serve you breakfast and dinner as a combined plate, which makes the food unappetizing. A pity, if they took care of this aspect, the hotel would improve a lot.

I suppose that if you are looking at this hotel it is because, on some organized trip, coming to it is one of the options. Well, if you can avoid it, do it, the reasons are varied: the center is totally out of place, it's bloody cold in winter (we sleep with thermals), the WC has a broken lid and doesn't drain, the cleanliness... ahem, we found in our room (carpeted, to give a little more disgust) a cigarette butt in the bin, a piece of bread and the hand gel used by the previous one. If all this were not enough: the bed is extremely uncomfortable, the shower water has no pressure and is hardly expected and it hardly comes out hot. To say something good: the service is normal, unhurried, but not bad and the food is tasty. In summary: if you want to live an experience of the Spain of 1960, then this is your hotel. Otherwise, better take another
