It was perfect for my short trip. It was easy to get a tram or subway to the city center. It's not a new hotel but still comfortable and clean. The staff was great, and the breakfast choices were alright.

A great hotel, clean room with a lovely bath. The bed was on the hard side for me personally. Breakfast was fine, not very extensive, but enough choice. Staff very friendly! It would be a hotel I would choose again.

沒入住,前台兩名中年男子是種族岐視者,所以評分低,建議中國人別訂。

Brilliant hotel if you are to see Amsterdam and you have a car. Its good 25 min from city but it was easy to find parking in centre. It has nice spacipus rooms, and seperate wc. The gym is good and the is a fridge in the room. Great breakfast. They also have a small pub inside. Check out is 11 but in cases you can ask for 12check out. Great staff. Check out prices on various sites as it cary between 140 to 230 euro. We got a good deal via trivago.

Nice hotel, large rooms, great breakfast, excellent wifi and complimentary laundry for guests. Staff are very nice. Road works currently blocking main road entry to hotel so recommend you get instructions if driving as back road entry a bit tricky to locate. Once it is explained, it is easy. I went through website and thought I was booking direct, only to find that I had been redirected to a 3rd party website and paid AUD70 more per night for the room. This was not the staff’s fault but be careful when booking direct through internet. Suggest you use someone like *********** or telephone property direct. I have decades of experience and still got scammed, fortunately the hotel had my booking, just overpaid. Other than that, enjoyed our stay.

Overall out stay was amazing, I would highly recommend this hotel. Very close to the airport. The members of staff where very helpful with all of our questions and gave us a sheet of paper on how to get into Amsterdam centre, this included maps, time tables and different passes for transport. Even though the hotel is abit out the way the surroundings and views are incredible. Wide variety choice for breakfast.

The hotel is in Amstelveen which is around 30 mins out from Amsterdam, we found this to make us feel safer and allowed us to see more of the Netherlands. We used the GVB app and bought 4-day passes that gave us unlimited travel on all GVB buses, trams, metros, and trains. It took us around 45 minutes through walking and getting public transport to be in the centre of Amsterdam. There are quicker ways but we used the app to identify GVB transport only as to get the best use from our travel pass and to not endure further costs. One of the best hotels we have stayed in, when we arrived at 10am we were informed by the receptionist that our room had been upgraded to the 'Junior Art Suite' instead of the standard room we had initially booked and that it was ready for us to go to. We were expecting to drop off our bags and come back later but the staff at reception informed us the room was ready and we were allowed to go up. When we arrived in our room we found it to be spacious, clean and tasteful. The room is equipped with towels, bath mat, extra pillows, complimentary toiletries, air conditioning, a safe, a mini fridge and tea and coffee making facilities (a nespresso machine and pods!). The bed was large and very comfortable, we slept really well whilst staying here. The shower was lovely and warm and had really good pressure, as well as the bath. We were informed of the timings for breakfast (7-10 Mon - Sat and 7-11 on Sundays) on the first day of our arrival. At breakfast we were able to choose from a variety of different breakfast items and as much as we wanted. Breakfast included, fruit, deli meats and cheeses, cereal (incl. granola), salad items, cooked eggs, cooked bacon, coffee, tea, fruit juice and water. We felt well replenished when having breakfast and is definitely worth the expense. On the whole, our stay at Grand Hotel Amstelveen was amazing and we will highly recommend to anyone thinking about staying in the area of Amsterdam!

Good location for us, near Wagener Stadium for Hockey World Cup. Very clean, friendly staff and excellent breakfast. Gym on location and near the National Tennis Centre. About 40 minutes into centre of Amsterdam by bus. You can also rent bikes at hotel

Good, quiet location outside busy Amsterdam, free parking. Rooms are spacious & comfortable, large bathroom, 100% clean, dated decor. Staff should be trained on being friendly, pleasant and make the customer feel special. Atmosphere is quite rigid, we just made it to breakfast (9:40) as it stops at 10:00. I had been ill overnight so slept in. They were in a rush, closed the door as soon as we left. When I asked for coffees to be brought to the room, I got the comment: "just for this once then" and was told to pay at reception separately - could not be put on the bill. We had another night's stay ... You might think it is a cultural attitude, but we are both bilingual Dutch/English and I am a Dutch national. We did like the friendly African receptionist.

Good and less good points: +Location near Schuphol/ Amstelveen/ Amsterdam Zuidas + Great beds +Friendly staff +Airco that also works + Free parking + Nespresso in the room +/- Bathroom was old but separate shower with a pathetic trickle of water +/- Simple breakfast +/- Is a good bistro next door with a bowling alley... +-/ Empty minibar - Appearance is from the 1970s - Kind of half renovation with floor and new beds but the rest is old - Extremely slow internet. Are you satisfied and would you come back again? I didn't pick it myself (customer arranged it), price was good but privately I wouldn't go here.

The hotel is clean and the rooms are big. The staff were friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough to help us with our various requests (travel advice, organising a cab etc). It is quite a way from the centre of the city although the trams and buses do run regularly and the public transport system is easy to navigate. Do be aware that if you get a travel pass from gvb (they have an app and you can get 1/2/3/4 day passes) the pass is not valid on the buses that go nearest to the hotel. The tram is only a 10 minute walk away though and easily gets you to the centre of the city. The restaurant in the hotel was only serving breakfast and there are not many restaurants etc within walking distance of the hotel. Fussia is about 10 mins away and very good (classy all-you-can-eat Japanese / Chinese / Thai food). The Grand Cafe Allsports is about 30 mins walk away, but serves amazing food, and not what you would expect from a restaurant in a sports-centre! The hotel also has an arrangement with restaurant Colijn who will deliver. The only bad thing I have to say about the hotel is something that was really outside their control - the plague of mosquitoes which invaded our room after we had the window open overnight. My husband and I were bitten very badly all over. When I asked at reception they did organise for the room to be sprayed which solved the issue, but I do think it would have been useful if there had been warning signs in the room telling people to be aware of the mosquitoes and possibly just use the air conditioning (which was very effective, I just don't like the sound of it at night) rather than opening the window..

Es un hotel muy alejado de áreas turísticas aunque afirma lo contrario. Para tomar un tranvía hay q caminar más de 15 minutos. Muy básico y para lo q ofrece resulta muy caro. Exteriores descuidados. Personal amable pero poco predispuesto a ayudar.
