Princess Hostel Leidse Square Amsterdam Reviews

The hostel is in a good location out of the centre, it's an easy tram ride in to Centraal with very frequent trams. You get what you pay for, it's cheap and cheerful but very good value for budget accomodation just a short trip from Amsterdam city centre. The beds were very comfortable, the room was larger than expected and very airy as we were in an attic room and all the windows opened. The stairs were a bit treacherous, very steep and winding but a nice feature of an old traditional building. The showers and facilities were fine, kept clean by other travellers and staff and the kitchen was fine too. I would definitely stay here again for cheap, reasonable accommodation.

Stairway is very dangerous. Wifi is not accessible if 2nd floor. Check-in start from 3pm. Not 2pm. Check out must be done till 10am. City tax should be paid while check-in. Really noisy at all room because of street in intersection.

Zero privacy with the beds in Dorms really close to each others. And a really small option to prepare your own food.

Worst hostel that I ever being to (which is actually a lot to say) the only good thing is the location but considering Amsterdam's size doesn't mean that much. Noisy, dirty and small. Somehow the toilet was always disgusting and there wasn't anybody taking care of nothing. Also one small kitchen for more than 40 persons!!! Don't waste your time coming here if you want to have a nice time in Amsterdam.

Is smaller then i expected, but it served the purpose, the bed is comfortable with warm blanket. And have a nice location

Tiny room, hardly to walk in the room, no proper hot water. But man staff was kind.

A place with limited space.

We are experienced users of hotels and hostels with shared facilities. For the price we payd the accomodation (private room, shared bathroom/toilet) is very expensive. The room was ok, but noisy, the balcony door leaked, so street noise was loud, people continuously walked cross the hallway the whole night, slamming doors. No chair or decent closet to put your belongings. The shower wasnt clean, lots of hair/soap debris in the corners. Have to pay extra for towel use.

Everything about the hotel was bad except for the location, the staff was unfriendly, and most of all, the room condition was not good. Still, in expensive Amsterdam, the prices are just average.

The location is very good as it is close to everywhere. The employees are helpful. The only problem is the noise outside. It is ideal for a one-night stay. I recommend it.

The bathroom is not clean! People on the same floor share one toilet! The shower is not separated into wet and dry areas! The water in the bathroom will spread to the toilet floor! The bathroom wall is very slippery! It has never been cleaned! 16 people in one room, and it costs nearly 300 RMB per day! The bed is not comfortable, and the couple in the lower bunk are sleeping all night long. There is no public space! The worst youth hostel I have ever stayed in Europe!
