A dump of a hotel, to be avoided. Sheets with large rips and holes in them. Vinyl furniture in entry falling apart with plastic peeling off it. Dirty lobby. No extra blankets or pillows in the room. Asked for extra blankets was told there were no clean ones available but we could have dirty ones if we wanted. Plastic peeling off the vinyl headboards of the beds. Coffee machine in the room was broken and unusable (leaked water everywhere). Electrical issues in the hotel. Bathroom mirror light didn’t work, asked for it to be fixed and was told they are all like that due to bad inverters used in the hotel bathrooms, can not be repaired. It seems owners are cutting costs everywhere at the expense of quality. Even the milk for breakfast coffee was significantly watered down making the coffee undrinkable. I would go on, but I think you get the point. This is a complete dump of a hotel. Do not believe the photos and descriptions on their website.

my boyfriend and i stayed here for three nights on our visit to amsterdam and we were very pleasantly surprised by the hotel! the hotel room was small, however for the length of stay it was definitely worth the price we paid. access into the city is around a half hour walk into central or a short tram journey a couple of minutes walk away. definitely would recommend paying for a window room!!!!

The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, offering great local tips. My room was both comfortable and clean. The location is perfect for exploring the city, with shops and cafes just a short walk away. I highly recommend for anyone looking for a cozy stay in Amsterdam!

Trip typeVacation · Family Rooms1.0Service1.0 RoomsA complete disaster, my family and I checked in today August, 19 2024 around 5:30pm. We found pee and poo stains on the toilet as well as towels being used. We complained and another room was given to us that wasn’t even clean at all, beds undone and garbage everywhere. We ask for cleaning supplies to clean the washroom ourselves and nothing was provided. The front desk told us that a cleaning company was coming to clean in about an hour or so. We ask to give us another room and there was no more room available to accommodate us. So we don’t recommend specifically for families with children like us.

We stayed in a neat and spacious 4-person room. The staff was also friendly. Only the breakfast was disappointing. We expected more from a three-star hotel. If we had known this in advance, we would not have paid extra for breakfast but would have gone for a nice brunch in the city.

Horrible hotel. Weird vibe, felt like I was staying in a student dorm. Good neighborhood, that's it. Never again. Depressing place. I do not have 200 words to use. The only thing it is good for is price. I get what you pay for. Would not recommend.

The staff at reception were very pleasant and responsive. I was a little alarmed that I was given key card access to the luggage room, and I was also surprised that I was able to keep the keycard too! It made me worry about my luggage before I was able to check in. It is not a secure way of storing people's personal belongings. This system needs to be changed and managed by the staff and not the hotel guests. The location was excellent, in a great neighbourhood and close to the tram and a short ride into the centre of town. It is also walking distance, if you are a walker. The room I had was small, but adequate, but there was a level of unacceptable dust and cobwebs. The carpet near the bin, under the desk, clearly had a coffee stain, which was unsightly. I had to plug in the television, as it had been unplugged from behind - lifted the TV off the wall to find the plug hanging loosely. The bathroom was clean, the water presur excellent, and the amenities were plentiful with excellent water pressure. There was adequate storage, and I overlooked the side residential street with wonderful light and aspect. The bed was very comfortable but small and suitable for 1 person or two small people. Room service was poor. Folding back the duvet and not straightening the sheets or setting the pillows back into place was poor, as was not wiping down the bathroom sink. The decor is a little dated but in good condition. The windows were openable, and the ventilation and heating/cooling were excellent. The old coffee machine needs to be replaced or removed. The use of plastic cups covered by plastic wrapping and small plastic containers for the shampoo, conditioner, handwash, etc. is very old fashioned and should be discontinued ASAP as they are environmentally inappropriate these days.

I must say in all my years of travel I have never stayed at a hotel that offers so very little for so very much. I would like to caution people if you are considering this hotel. In our 5 night stay we averaged, with tax nearly $300/night. For that we got a room the size of shoebox, no amenties whatsoever, no views, and very poor and inconsistent housekeeping. The front desk people were nice and helpful. They blamed the very bad house keeping on being very crowed. It really negatively impacted our overall trip to Amsterdam
