Very noisy room. This hotel requires to freeze from the debit card a half of the room cost as insuranse. It was a great surprise for me.

Good , but the room too small, front desk not always available

This hotel is located in the bustling area of ​​the city center and has very convenient transportation. It can be easily reached by driving or taking public transportation. The room I stayed in was spacious and comfortable, luxuriously decorated yet warm. The bed was soft and comfortable, giving me a good night's sleep. The rooms are fully equipped, including high-speed wireless Internet, flat-screen TVs and luxurious bathroom products. In addition, the hotel also provided free breakfast service, allowing me to enjoy delicious meals in the morning.

It is very strange that this hotel has a low rating. I liked everything!!! 1. The location is very convenient (I got there from the airport in 40 minutes by public transport, close to the main attractions of the city). 2. Good reception staff (I checked in very late, but the hotel employee was waiting for me). 3. Cleanliness of the room (bed linen is perfectly clean, clean towels, In general, the room was clean without foreign odors). 4. Comfort (I had a large soft bed, the size of the room suited me).

The hygiene is too poor

Had a lovely experience at Hotel Max, we went for the marathon and all runners slept well. Comfortable and had everything you needed. From the reviews people seemed to have expected a 2 star hotel to be 5 star? You get what you expect and actually more than I have experience from 3/4 star hotels. Staff were lovely and keen to help when needed, we were on the street and despite being a light sleeper had no sleep disturbance.

Rooms are tiny and with barely any furniture. In the case of my room, there was a (nice) bet, mini fridge and hooks to hang jackets, nothing else. However, the price was right. The location is very good, and there is a LIDL supermarket across the street. One of the issues is, they ask for EUR 150 deposit, but you find that out only once you make the booking. Also, I expected the tax to be included in the price for my booking but it seems it wasn't. Now, the staff are quite helpful and professional, no problem at all with them.

It's a small hotel with small rooms, which is something to be expected in Amsterdam in the lower price range. The bathroom sink was located outside the bathroom which was odd, and the bathroom door is a wobbly shower door. It didn't really bother me though. I was happy to find a reasonsbly priced room inside the city. The hotel is located in the city, in a calmer area, which is nice. 5 min walk and you're in the vibrant busy streets chock-full of restaurants, shops and people hanging around. 15 minutes walk and you're basically in the very center of the city. There's also a Lidl right outside the door in case you don't want to eat every meal at a restaurant. The bed is rather hard, which I find comfy, with great pillows, and the room features an old style tired hair dries, which I appreciate. Modern one would be better, but at least it's there. On the negative side, I'd say there was no fridge, so we couldn't store food, except dry food, which takes away some of the convenience with the close by lidl. There was a lack of clothes storage. Only a couple of hangers and some hooks. The light switches were sort of randomly mapped and the lights didn't have the most welcoming hue. Also if I'd visit the bathroom in the night and turn on the light it would also turn on the blinding cold hallway light waking up anybody sleeping. Lastly, I don't care for AC, but a fan would have been nice in the heat. At least there was a large window that I could use to ventilate and curtains that completely blocked all light hitting them. All in all, a decent stay on a hotel in a great area. Some rough edges, so if you don't like that maybe it's not for you. But if you're mainly gonna be out exploring the city I'd say it doesn't really matter. Right, one last thing. The hotel must be used to annoying tourists because here and there are signs thay forbid alcohol and smoking in the rooms. Aledgedly a 300€ fine is given to the person drinking in the room. It doesn't give the most welcome feeling. However the staff were nice.

No no no never again. Awful place to stay overall terrible experience with staff constantly catching staff perving around looking through gaps in my windows. The room was awful with the windows not been able to close while been there and water leaking from the roof.

disgusting place and service. allowed us to book the room knowing we were under 21 - took the money but then would not let us in. disgusting place looks filthy. no one available to help and nothing on their webiste or when we spoke to them to say we needed to be 21

very poor service, water leaked from the ceiling in the middle of the night due to heavy rain, some of our clothes and shoes are wet, receptionist came and just gave us extra towel to put on the floor, after few hours this was already 3am we were transferred to another room with 2 single beds another floor up no lift packing all our things with no offer of help its not a pleasant experience, never again

Absolutely appalled and terrible service and standards. Never again rude comms in advance, unclean, no room attention and don't get me started on bathrooms. Just awful, 1 star just because cannot give less

This hostel is almost a scam for people under 21 travelling alone. Never book there ! If you are under 21 you are not allowed in the building even though you can book a room without them asking for your age. This discriminatory rule is only displayed in small caracters in the terms of & conditions as if they tried to hide it. When you try to get your money back, there is another arbitrary rule made by the owner that prohibits refund when you arrrive in front of their desk. If you want to spend quality time in Amsterdam, please avoid this place !

All the reviews are correct, its very poor service. I advised 5 days prior to attending that I had COVID and requested a change of date so I could not lose the booking as unable to travel. Blatantly denied my request and refused also refund, yet they refused my requests due to..... yep - The Global Pandemic. Got bookings,com involved and still no joy. Hope you spent my £300+ wisely on paint maybe !!
