The service from this hotel was the worst I have ever experienced. The receptionist was so rude and unfriendly. He was definitely not willing to help you with your problems at all. To anyone considering staying at this hotel, I would 100% not recommend this. Please avoid:)

Hello, the hotel was booked without meals, the service and cleanliness were good. I would be happy to come back, great location.

Lovely little hotel steps away from Vondelpark and east of the Van Gogh museum in old Amsterdam. Great location, excellent restaurant and block away. Let us check in early after an overseas flight. Better for solo travelers or a couple. Definitely would return

I booked a double bed room based on the photos provided and ended up in a basement bunker of a room which bore no resemblance to the photo examples. The "city view" promised was a view from the single basement widow at the side of the building from below ground level and through tall weeds with only the top of buildings in the street visible. The "individually decorated" interior was poorly done with the stark white walls showing patches of more recently applied pain. The "blackout curtains" were a poor fit and did not block out much light. The bathroom ( no shower/bath combination as promised) was tiny and the shower area was poorly cleaned with gunge evident where the cleaner missed. The desk was a thin board bracketed to the wall a the single chair was a cheap plastic affair. Finally the room safe was not fixed to anything and the reception was not staffed after 7.00 pm so if any emergency arose (a fire perhaps!) you had to call a phone number to request help.

Don’t stay here, completely incompetent and an unenjoyable stay. Had to remove several silverfish from my room upon arrival into a very basic room with no full length mirror or amenities. No access to irons or food making facilities, and terrible customer service. My bathroom completely flooded on day one after having the shower on for 2 minutes. It didn’t drain. I spoke to the reception desk about it (which is only open 10-5:30 - ridiculous) who promised they would get it fixed. Second day, the same happened - only worse. Clearly hadn’t been fixed and the last thing I needed on my business trip. Absolutely awful.

Pretty basic accommodation. Nothing spectacular, nothing terrible. Good location near the park and Leidseplein. Has to wait a while for check in as nobody was at reception. Also several people tried to get into my room in the morning (to clean) before checkout, without knocking. This was a little annoying. Room was clean and comfortable but nothing to write home about. Probably wouldn’t stay here again.

Hotel is next to the park in a quiet area. There are a few restaurants on your doorstep, Van gogh museum is a 10 minute walk away. Tram number 2 nearby takes you into the centre if you don't want to walk. Rooms are basic but very clean and room was cleaned everyday. Bed was very comfy and we slept really well. I have no complaints about this hotel it did the job well for a short break.

No reception. Even when standing right there, you can’t book in. I was told to go through booking. I did, paid it. The booking wasn’t processed. Ages later, I was asked to book via their website. Apparebtly? booking was a mistake (although they told me to do it) I effectively paid double. Next surprise, no breakfast available . Next surprise, nobody on reception before 10 am. I had a meeting at 9 so the couldn’t store my bag. By the way, If you need to leave your bag for a while, they charge you 5 euros! Also, no idea why, but the rooms smell of joss sticks really strong. Like You are in China! This place does not deserve the name Hotel. It’s an empty hole in the wall with tons of systems that do not work. The guy on the reception was very nice and apologetic but it doesn’t make the place any better I feel sorry for the poor staff who have to work here. Don’t book! It’s not worth the hassle and will get your trip off to an awful start!

I have always stayed at the Hotel Atlas Vondelpark. It is well-located (next to Vondelpark, minutes from the top museums in Amsterdam, nice neighborhood, good transportation). But this November 2023 stay is the last. The hotel is going downhill. It no longer offers a very nice breakfast buffet and the lounge has been closed off. I stayed in a single room that was located on the ground floor. I opened the blinds and found bicycles parked next to the window. The bathroom is deteriorating. The floor desk is open from 9 a.m. to early evening. The rest of the time it is shuttered. Besides my room in the basement, there are numerous others -- it is basically a rabbit hutch. The Atlas is now suitable only as a youth hostel or for low-budget backpackers. What a shame.

I hate to say anything negative because the staff we met were so friendly and helpful but the hotel is really shabby. Our room was run down and very basic; I thought it could use a complete overhaul. We didn’t have basics like a hair dryer or iron but did have a safe, TV and kettle. Aside from the shabbiness my main issues was the bed. The bed was so uncomfortable, I didn’t sleep well at all. However the location is great, right next to the park and a short walk to public transport, I did walk in to the city centre one morning and it took about 40mins. The area around is beautiful too, very quiet part of the city with fab restaurants and bars. Overall though I wouldn’t stay here again unfortunately.

I usually write personally to any hotel to share Feedback. This time, i want to share it here since the hotel Owner is simply ignorant and its all about the money. I made a non refundable reservation back in May. As I am fully aware of the rules that apply, i did however asked for their support and eventual refund due to the death of my mother. It was declined and even commented with, well you booked non refundable. I am aware but even though i booked non refundable plane tickets, Austrian did reimburse. Its called human decency. After 4 weeks, I emailed the hotel again, asking for any acknowledgment. No reaction and simply irgnoring me. If thats how you want to make business, i wish you best of luck.

Although in a great location Hotel Atlas is basically nothing more than a hostel with the cheapest most basic facilities money can buy. We had 2 single beds in a room that could barely accommodate 1 bed. Up there with some of the worst places I have stayed. The reception was only open from 3pm due to maintenance
