Maison Elle Amsterdam Reviews

Staff is super friendly. Every time when we went down to lobby, they would ask if we need any drinks. We got tea, coffee, orange juice, and sometimes croissant and fruit for free. The room we stayed was quite small. There are nearby tram stops but you need to walk at least one block. Overall it was a nice stay. We often visited the park nearby and enjoyed the nice neighborhood.

Location is fantastic, easy to go anywhere. Staff are also friendly and helpful

Delightful experience all around! This is the epitome of what you would desire of an European boutique hotel. The decor captivates you and draws you in to relax and enjoy! The rooms are clean, the staging is perfection, the breakfast was outstanding. The staff was beyond welcoming and helpful. We can’t wait to visit another Maison Elle property!

I stayed at this hotel three times and the third time I was unlucky :( Room number 4 was stuffy and smelled of chemicals. I was surprised by the condition of the walls and the various types of damage. But the most unpleasant thing was the black hair in bed and in the bathroom. I didn’t photograph every hair because there were a lot of small ones (I’m blonde). Mixed feelings, because the first 2 times the hotel was pleasant, but I can’t forgive the hair in the bed

This lovely boutique hotel is in a great location, close to restaurants, museums and the beautiful Vondel Park. The rooms are spotless and comfortable with everything you need. The staff is professional, friendly and ready to help you with anything you need. There is a lovely lounge area where you can relax with refreshments during the day. I would definitely stay here again.

It was a well kept hotel and perfectly placed for local restaurants within walking distance, the staff were very friendly and helpful, only a short walk to the park which again is beautiful. Unlimited coffee and cold drinks that were available after a long day was much appreciated.

Great location right next to the lovely Vondelpark. Beautiful neighborhood. Peaceful, charming, and stylish hotel. Kind and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Delightful garden. Complimentary drinks. Comfortable bed. Spacious shower with good pressure and temp. Well-equipped room. Well functioning Aircon. Black-out blinds/shutters.

We had a wonderful stay at Maison ELLE in July. The location is in a cute residential-feeling neighborhood with plenty of restaurants right next to Vondelpark and walkable to the Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh museum, and Heineken experience in 15-30 min. The hotel itself was also on point: friendly staff, comfortable pillows & bedding, clean tastefully decorated rooms, with high ceilings and doors to a balcony looking out to the neighborhood. It felt luxurious for a reasonable price!

Overall the hotel is perfectly adequate with tons of potential. Service could have been better (but could be partially cultural differences in communication). There were a lot of things left out of the initial check in with talking through amenities etc and extra towels being picked up by house keeping and not replaced. There were some big misses like carpet throughout all the rooms and guest common areas. The carpet was fluffy and looked dirty from crumbs most of the time, just not the right pick for a fairly nice brand and hotel. The room was also mission lotion and conditioner (which is their own hotel brand, which was a bit shocking). The rooms are way smaller than expected, and we expected small. The coffee in the common area was great, everyone was nice, albeit direct but there are some miscommunications with third party platforms sometimes about additional costs which were never mentioned by the third party platforms. ELLE has a near perfect location and is nice and cozy for a trip to Amsterdam.

The service was some of the best I've ever experienced. We were offered a beverage whenever the chance arose, and we were allowed late checkout even though the hotel was fully booked. The breakfast was made fresh and was delicious. (And I normally don't like hotel breakfasts.) It is very easy to reach to and from the airport by public transportation. Convenient and comfortable place to explore the city!
