Sotel Amsterdam Central Station Reviews

Sotel was a convenient location, just 5min walk from Centraal Station Amsterdam. plenty of food nearby, and also walkable to the canals, dam square, and the shops. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. Lift was tiny but sufficient. We stayed on level 2 (third storey including entrance on ground floor). walls were pretty thin cos we could hear doors closing as though they were being slammed. no fridge in the room, but there is a coffee machine for our use. toilet was small, esp the sink. but sufficient for a short stay. Recommended! We arrived at 11+am and check in was at 1pm. They kept our bags for us while we went to explore the area and have lunch. One thing to note is the reception counter is manned only from 730 to 1030. we had to check out at 5am so if you need to check out when the counter is unmanned, it would be good to make prior arrangements with the receptionist. I had to make an international call at 5am to let the person know we were leaving. Overall a pleasant stay :-)

great ideal location near central station but lack of amenities in the room

The smell of bleach in the room and bathroom was so strong that even though I opened the window and ventilated for several hours, the smell did not go away. I was assigned a room that went up to the second floor by narrow and steep stairs without a lift, so it was very difficult to carry my suitcase. IBIS Hotel at Central Station was better. I already brought my suitcase to the lobby, but the staff said they would bring it to me if I told them when I checked out... Why didn't they tell me that when I checked in? Nothing good except the location

The hotel is in a great location, opposite the station! The room is small. You can see the street view outside the window. The bedding is clean but uncomfortable. The bathroom space is good. The sink is not big but there is a full-length mirror, which I think is good! There is an elevator in my room!

The location is very good, behind the central station, 6 minutes walk, very close to Chinatown and ***, with Chinese service. The room is relatively small and the soundproofing is average.

Perfect location very close to Amsterdam central station. Small but complete room, very good bathroom. Both renovated but lack maintenance. Excellent location-quality-price.

Some rooms do not have elevators. Because of this, many people feel inconvenienced. Also, there is no refrigerator, and although there is air conditioning, it is very weak. However, other than that, there were no other shortcomings that I could think of, and I can say that the location and service were very good. I really enjoyed it because it was close to the station and there were many shops nearby. A bar nearby.

The room rate plus city tax for one day was only for a room of about 8 square meters. It was very small. And you had to walk up the narrow stairs to carry your luggage to the second floor. I don't recommend booking this hotel. The only advantage is that it is close to Amsterdam Central Station.

There is no elevator in this double-bed hotel. The service staff came directly to the door twice the next day, told us to get up in front of the bed, and then deducted a 20 euro deposit. Personal privacy has been violated. We have been warned and came in a second time! ! very rude

The hotel is not far from the station, the road is very flat, easy to walk there. The room is nice, nothing wrong except the price is expensive. There is a long queue of locals nearby to buy ice cream.

Good location, price is not fair, but hotels in this area charge 12% head tax
