First hostel I’ve ever felt unsafe at. There were a ton of creepy men. The staff was rude. The two guys who work at the front desk just drink and smoke all night. When asking for anything they act as though you’re inconveniencing them. I was called a N word by an elderly white guest. It appears maybe they are also a health care facility because everyday there was some elderly person with dementia staying there. It was strange . Rooms were insufferably hot. Two days I couldn’t sleep there had to stay with a friend nearby. It’s far from the city center so be prepared to take the train 30-40 mins everywhere . The art is nice

The location was quite nice with restaurants and supermarket nearby. tram station was also near The room was clean and tidy. One thing I was glad the toilet was separated for M and F which is so unlikely in Europe.

It's a bit out of the city & the capsule type rooms were not well ventilated so it was quite hot, even at night.

As can be seen in the picture, the surrounding environment is peaceful. I booked this hotel because it is pretty comfortable to goto airport early in the morning. Although it is pretty far away from the city center, it is easy to goto sloterjk station, which has airport train. They offered me a free locker and a lock, which is not a normal hostel service. Facilities are good and staffs are friendly. Seems like there are kitchen too

The transport from Railway Station Centraal with bus #22 takes 20 minutes to the end station Sloterdijk. It cost 1 €. You also can use the train from Centraal to Sloterdijk. From here, there are direct trains to the Amsterdam airport and further to Belgium, France etc. From Sloterdijk you can walk in 15 Minutes to Dutchies hostel. The big advantage is they have a kitchen where you can cook by yourself. There are refrigerators, an oven, a sink for cleaning and all equipment for cooking and eating like plates, kettles, glasses, cups etc.

The location is outside of the City Center. From Central Railwaystation with bus 22 it takes 20 minutes and then 10 minutes to walk. The good part in the hostel is the kitchen, where guests can cook. Food can be stored in the refrigerator. A further good point is supermarket Lidl opposite of the hostel, where guests can buy all kinds of foods.

They gave me the wrong code to my room so I got locked out for a bit. And the dorm room was about as hot as the surface of the sun but other than that it was exactly as expected.

Lots of people in one room. They have a kitchen and a fridge, very well equipped, little space to sit and especially outside there are few tables, it gets full of people smoking. It is not easy to share the place for a non-smoker.

It was nicely cleaned. I knew this, but it's a little far from the station (20 minutes walk), so it's a pain to walk around with a suitcase on a rainy day. The facility itself was nice, and they even lent me a padlock for the locker for free. The photo is of the station. The one next door to Amsterdam Central Station is closer.

It takes 30 to 40 minutes to get to downtown Amsterdam by tram. It's closer to other train stations and bus terminals than the central station, so I think the location is better if you're traveling to other cities. The bathroom and shower stalls may feel a bit small, but I've never been particularly crowded, perhaps because I'm a man.

It takes about an hour to walk to the center. 3 40 minutes by tram There is a market right in front, and the bread they sell is delicious.
