The rooms cold, cold air comes through the window while window is closed completely. There was food or bugars on the wall... It takes a while for the water to get hot..

When you prepare for your first trip to Anchorage, you will probably read a lot of reviews. You will be surprised how many of them contain appalling descriptions of terrible service, dirty rooms (to say nothing about bathrooms, where descriptions are even more picturesque), and these include almost all hotels. Some of them (but only a few) included even Inlet Tower, but because for it there were few, I chose to stay in it. I can tell you that I didn't witness even one bad thing there. My room was very clean and very warm, the bed - comfortable, the bathroom - spacious, the water - hot and abundant, and the service I could only describe as very good, without any problems. The free wifi works, although the speeds are not something to brag about. Inlet Tower provides a free shuttle service to and from the airport and the railway station, which is really nice, especially if you plan to use public transport and arrive or depart during the weekend. The complimentary breakfast is much better than the useless "continental breakfast" that most US hotels will give you. In other words, I am very glad with the choice I made - but I also doubt that all other hotels that I considered but didn't choose, are as bad as many of the reviews say. I haven't visited any of them, only saw a few while walking around Anchorage, but I saw a few of their shuttle buses while I waited for mine, and I can't believe that people providing such a service with nice and well maintained vans, cannot take care of their rooms. So my personal opinion is that at least the most appalling negative reviews show some kind of competition wars, not so much objective opinions. But I can only be sure that Inlet Tower is a nice place - and I will be glad to stay there again if I visit Alaska again.

The hotel is a ten-minute drive from the airport, and there is a shuttle service We had a flight at 8:00 in the morning and made an appointment to drop off at 6:00. The driver arrived on time with a good attitude and gave a tip of $10 There is breakfast. We had breakfast at six o'clock. Although there are only bread, milk, coffee, etc., if you can provide it in advance, you will be free to board the plane hungry. The hotel has elevator, free parking, the scenery outside the hotel window is very good, you can see the sunset Disadvantages: 1. The bed is deformed and it is uncomfortable to sleep 2. The blinds are not easy to pull. Later, the engineers were notified to come to the door to solve the problem. It is recommended to change the curtains. After all, it is dark in Alaska, and the curtains are not good for rest.

This was a great place to stay. The rooms were comfortable, the staff friendly, great food at the restaurant and a well-stocked bar that had a real neighborhood feel to it. We throughly enjoyed ourselves here.

Only stayed one night, but geez, what a dump. The staff was friendly and none of the problems were their fault. Our TV didn't work, the remote was for a different TV and didn't have batteries in it. The only person who could address the problem was out driving the shuttle. Everything was worn down and well past its heyday. Ownership needs to give this old hag a face lift stat!

Smelly, moldy, and dirty. The bathtub was up to my hip which made it very difficult to get in and out of. The faucet was across the bathtub which made it very difficult to get it started. It was so moldy! The floor in front of the refrigerator was wet and there was a chunk of ice in the fridge. The blinds looked like they were never cleaned or dusted. There were also a ton of bugs in the light in the bathroom. Very disapointed.

I don't advise anyone to stay here even for one night. A receptionist named Ryan was extremely disrespectful and rude. When booking, we asked for special requests, such as a non-smoking room and a room on the 10-15th floor. Ryan gave us a room with a very strong smell of chlorine, which remained after cleaning. When asked to change to another room, he behaved very rudely and unfriendly. He offered us instead a very dark room on the 4th floor, which was much cheaper than the one we booked. As a result, we got a complete disappointment from staying at this hotel. Employee Rain is extremely unfriendly, unprofessional and deceived us when he said that he had only 2 free rooms in the hotel, although the hotel was empty and we arrived 30 minutes before check-in. When asked to call a manager or supervisor, he replied that he was very busy and did not have time. I do not recommend checking into this hotel precisely because of the disrespectful attitude of Ryan's employee to clients.

The pub (Where the Igloo) is looking fine and esthetic. but the overall stayed at hotel it really is something. We stayed at the hotel for 5days (Aug. 3-Aug8). We got the regular size room with two queen size bed, but I have to pinpoint the little things they can do to make the hotel more welcoming and great place to stay during vacation! • The card key is not working and had to constantly go to the front desk to change it! (I heard it's been like that for couple of rooms and years!) • The sink in the kitchen area is leaking so bad and loud that I couldn't sleep quietly! • The elevator is small and crowded. The luggages cart almost doesnt fit, and since it's small, no one can go with us in the elevator( so they had to wait long time) bec of how small and inconvient for us to move the cart. • Only two elevator for 15floors (Which sucks for guest and house keepers) when we were loading our stuff using the luggages cart. The house keepers waited almost 30 mins for empty elevators so they can fit their housekeeping carts. • Breakfast: Don't expect the typical breakfast you get from other hotels or your home.. Their "FREE" Breakfast from your whole stay is only gonna be "one and only choice of burrito, Bagels with creamCheese, Sweet Pastries, Breakfast sandwich from costco: choice of coffee, tea and juices" unless you use the coupon as $5 discount ONLY to their pub/Resto. • Fire Alarm: (Take note we were on 11th out of 15th floor. We were woken up to a loud fire alarm. All guests uses stairs (Ofcourse!) When we get to the 3rd floor, Some guest annouced that they been told it was false alarm (Not a drill but false alarm) because the kitchen employee burnt something in the oven. It was so unprofessional to all the hotel workers for "THEM"not annoucing their sorry and it was false alarm.. All the guest that was on the stairs got the "FIRE ALARM REASON" through guess too. We never got any apology for the inconvience and panic they cause us. So our stayed was somewhat a rollercoaster. but If your willing to experience the same as ours feel free to book and enjoy the stay! 😊

Let’s just say, I should have listened to what others said. This place looks like it was a halfway house converted to a hotel. I booked a Deluxe King room and requested a high floor (as reviews suggested), but I was told that for my “room type” the highest would be the 4th floor and that rooms are pre-assigned so, “it is what it is.” They offered face masks for sleeping, which was nice, however it made me suspicious. I asked whether the rooms had blackout curtains and they replied that some do, some don’t. They get broken and they can’t always repair/replace them in a timely manner, hence the complimentary masks. Wonderful. The carpet edges are frayed, there is a musty smell, the furniture doesn’t really fit the space, and the bathroom is an adventure in itself. We had to move the table to access the kitchenette area easily. I had a hard time accessing the closet because the bedside table blocks the way. The shower was the real shocker though! It’s a jacuzzi tub/shower combo. The side of the tub comes up to my waist (I’m 5’5) and I had to use the grab bars and some unsightly acrobatics to get in and out of the thing without breaking my neck! There’s a sticker on the mirror suggesting that one use the stool to get in/out, but there was no stool in the room anywhere. After my shower, I really didn’t want to be barefoot on the carpet, if that tells you anything. It’s so unfortunate because hotels are so expensive in Anchorage, so they can get away with providing so little for so much. Thankfully we were only reserved 2 nights. Next time, I’ll DEFINITELY book elsewhere.

I do not recommend this hotel due to unprofessional courtesy or accommodations for handicapped wheel accessibility. I had requested a handicap room but they gave me this room at which I cannot access the rest of the rooms in the hotel, it only limited me to going to the kitchen table and restroom. Also when I left ai left behind special and very expensive crutches custom-made for me and I left it behind and because I am deaf I cannot use the phone to call them I emailed them about it and they won't answer my email desp[it repeated emails and later I had to ask someone to call them and they said they sold it to someone else and my crutches have my name and phone number on each one of them. It took me a year to get my replacement. They are a very cold and callous company.

I had two one night stays here recently at the start and end of an Alaska road trip and they differed vastly - mostly due to the floor we were on. First stay was on the fourth floor where we didn’t get a wink of sleep due to noisy residents and the dreadful plumbing (kept awake all night by the sound of people peeing and toilets flushing on the floor above). As our last night was pre paid/non refundable and other Anchorage hotels were horrendously expensive we bit the bullet and went back and thankfully it wasn’t so bad on the 13th floor (14 floors in all). The key is to check in early as most guests know to ask for a high floor room and not accept a low floor unless there is absolutely no other option. We ate at the hotel both nights in one of the pods in their very nice garden which I have to say was good - a varied menu and good food.
