Ramada by Wyndham Anchorage Downtown

Not at all how it looks like on the website. Said it was renovated. The only thing updated was out sink and counter in the bathroom. The room was dirty and run down. No breakfast was available at our time of stay and no cream or milk for coffee offered. They should’ve gone to a bakery or grocery store and bought muffins, danish, fruit and milk/cream and had a continental breakfast instead. This was not mentioned upon check in. In fact the front staff told us the hours for breakfast when in fact it was closed for renovations. And the shuttle that was offered was old and dilapidated. Was told to keep an eye for white van with black doors and Ramada written on back. Took 65 minutes for shuttle to pick us up at the airport and it did have a black “replacement “ door on it. And the Ramada sign was actually hand written in the dirt on the back window. Not Ramada standards at all.

I booked my room June 19th 2024 around 11am-4pm I arrived to anchorage around 11 pm my ROOM WASNT READY TILL ALMOST 1AM how is that even possible? Oh yeah no hot water ay all & their WIFI good luck it'll work for 20min then ur gonna have to keep on reconnecting to it

I am not a big reviewer, but I am compelled to warn others about this place. The hotel was dirty, rooms not well maintained, virtually none of the amenities worked, and most of the staff was unresponsive. The included breakfast was limited to cereal and bread when I was there. The room safe, hair dryer, and ice machine were all out. Lots of homeless in the parking lot. Sketchy is what best describes the environment.

Do NOT stay here. This hotel is rundown and in serious need of maintenance. The management has no idea of hospitality towards customers and that complimentary continental breakfast is not something I would Compliment. Extremely disjointed. You have bread for toast but no knives for spreads. Coffee and Tea have to be got from in reception. Extremely weird. Rooms... we had fuse blown on the microwave, coffee machine and bedside lamps. Refurbishment Overdue. Why the erplugs? Is near to train tracks so throughout the night you will hear piercing train horns and the loud aircon unit turning off and on. I could go on but just don't book.

Where do I start? First, they gave me a room that was already occupied and trashed. Smell like **** or some type of ***** (smoke). I complained about it and the lady at the front gave me attitude and told me “I was mad at the world.” I tried descaling the situation and asked for clean sheets and new pillows and they wouldn’t provide it to me. It was by far, the worst experience I’ve ever had. Not to mention, after they changed the room, the lady threw the keys in the counter and gave me even attitude. P.S They expressed that all the house keepers staff quit.
