Country Inns are usually decent and clean but this one, by far has to be the worst hotel ever. This hotel is old and dirty, and the customer service is even worse. From a bug bite to not being able to get a clean sheet on your bed, you will experience all of that at this hotel. This hotel has a "we haven't done anything wrong mentality," so don't waste your time calling the General Manager Thad. He is part of the problem. Not sure wth was up with the phone or the different light bulbs. I could go on and on but bottom line is don't spend your money here.

Cleanliness, hospitality, accommodating, and value! Will keep this hotel in my list of preferred places to stay in Ankeny area. So many nice restaurants In the area, walking distance to many fine dining options! 5stars

I do not recommend staying here. It was $250 for one night. Our room smelled and there was a huge cobweb in the curtain area. The pillows were very uncomfortable. It was very loud in the hallway all evening until 10:30pm. The front desk did not answer the phone prior to our arrival.

I stay at this property a couple of times a year and have done so for many years, and find it to consistently be a good value. Safe, quiet, clean and well kept, and within walking distance of several restaurants.

Good clean room. Good employees. Good parking. Easy to find. Close to everything I needed. The Pool area looked well maintained. The fitness center was comfortable and well maintained. The rooms were all full all weekend I did not hear too much from the hallways and other rooms.
