Quality Inn & Suites Ann Arbor Hwy 23

It was disgusting. I left. I could not stay here there was trash all up and down the hall way. Not like little teeny pieces of paper. I men like cocktail straws and small balled up napkins. The floor had a layer of dirt.

We rolled into Ann Arbor after a 10 hour day on the road and needed a room for the night. As a long-time road warrior, you look for a good value for the money. For us, there are several big parts of a hotel stay: Price, comfy bed, cleanliness, and hot water. The price was reasonable for the area, the bed was comfy, the room was clean, and there was plenty of HOT water. These guys hit the mark. That said, the hotel itself is a bit dated, room furniture shows some wear. It could use some paint and TLC. The breakfast is pretty basic with eggo type waffles, fresh bagels, packaged muffins, coffee, milk, cereal, boiled eggs, yogurt, and juice. My wife asked if I mentioned it was clean? I forgot to mention that the staff was friendly and engaged. All in All, we would stay here again.

Do not stay here. I tried calling to change my booking for hours before we arrived. No one ever answered the phone, and that's because all the staff hang out outside, smoking, and don't come in if they even hear the phone in the first place. Not only was no one at the desk for check-in, but the vending machine is broken, there were chunks out of the walls, the toilet barely flushed, there was also no trash can in the room, the fridge was barely even cold, and the tv had no power cord. when we asked about a replacement for the tv cord they said they didn't have any, that someone must have stolen it. These rooms are not good at all, staff don't give a hoot about you or your stay. The pictures are NOTHING like the actual rooms. This place should be shut down and updated. Absolutely unacceptable.

Throughout our stay, the facility just didn't felt being tended to at all - e.g. when we arrived no one was at the front desk. We had to wait for ~20 mins until I found the guy sitting outside in his personal car on his phone. Same thing when we checked out. The public areas were very dim, one of the vending matching room water had leaked through the roof and was pooling on the floor. The room was very dusty and must had pet before as it triggered minor allergy reaction in my kid. I also have to complain about the breakfast - the hotel advertises "hot" breakfast but when we got there all we got was a few plain bagels, and cold waffles, some cereal, some juice and a urn of coffee. Again, no staff was tending the "breakfast bar". It's barer than the most bare continental breakfast I have seen before. I have photos to back up all my descriptions above. All in all, I think the owner of this hotel put no heart/effort into the service they offer. I felt scammed for the $100 a night I paid. Really bad experience.

The property smelled smoke while it was not supposed to. The room was not very clean around the bed. No deep cleaning had been done for a while based on what I saw around the bed.

Pool was closed. Breakfast was under-impressive. Room picture did not match the room we got.

Workers where sleeping on their shift this past weekend he literally slept through breakfast and we had to go to McDonald’s to eat after they promised us breakfast.
