Hampton Inn & Suites Ann Arbor-West

A decent Hampton, not bad

This stay was really disappointing and cannot be called a hotel. I chose this hotel because my family came to Ann Arbor to study, but my two-day stay turned out to be a nightmare. The elevator was out of order, so I had to walk up and down the stairs with heavy weight for two days. The air conditioner also failed to cool down properly at all and made a harsh noise regardless of its on/off status. The light in the bathroom was broken, and there was no hot water available the next day, making it impossible to even take a nice shower. I asked for room repairs or changes many times, but the hotel service staff told me that most of the rooms are in this situation, and there are not even spare rooms. What is ridiculous is that the hotel's discontinued spaces are basically empty. After struggling all night, even if the air conditioner is turned off, there is still noise, making it impossible to sleep, let alone wash up. The breakfast in the morning was also disappointing, only bread and drinks, no rich choices. Although I prepaid for the room on Ctrip, I couldn't get a refund and choose a hotel again. When I checked out, they couldn't provide the bill, claiming that it was a system failure. In short, I strongly recommend that Ctrip terminate its partnership with this hotel and appeal to everyone not to consider booking this hotel.
