It's been our first visit to Scotland and because we didn't want to drive for hours we chose annan because it was the nearest part of scotland to us. Wow I wish I had been before, the Corner House was just a lovely place to stay, it was clean, cozy and the staff so welcoming and friendly and it was right in the middle of the high street which was so convenient, along with on site free parking. The hotel was over the top of a pub called the Shed which had a lovely atmosphere and music as well as sport on the TV. Annan itself was a lovely place with plenty of little pubs and a few shops and an interesting museum and a small harbour. The commercial inn down the road was lively with kareoke and full of characters that were friendly. All in all a very positive experience and we would go back there anytime.
