Pet-friendly Hotels in Antananarivo Avaradrano

I went to TAMBOHO both for breakfast and for some business lunch meetings. Can someone please agree they got some of the best pizzas and club sandwiches in town? Prices are a bit high but maaaaan, it's so worth it. Even just breakfast, super good. We had a full breakfast and we had enough to share it. (And as a souvenir, I still have got the two jam jars I got from there, SO CUTE.)

We stayed here twice with a few days in between. Our first stay was great! The rooms are lovely, spacious and clean. The restaurant was closed but the outside bar served nice food (only 2 veggie options), though a little noisy and cold (they gave us blankets when we asked). Our second stay was awful! We had two rooms booked, but they said we only had one. We had to wait several hours in reception for this to be sorted with no apology from staff. When we came to check out, they said they hasn’t received the money from lastminute.com and asked us to pay again. I showed proof of payment, but they said they didn’t have it so wanted me to pay. I refused! They asked me to call lastminute.com to sort out the payment transfer to them. I explained that everything on my end was complete and that they could sort it out with the tour operator not me. Also on our second stay the food was terrible - the zebu fillet was completely inedible. When we told the staff they didn’t even acknowledge this problem.

Cela fait 1 mois maintenant que le Radisson refuse de me rembourser la pré-autorisation de paiement (495 dollars) qu'ils ont prélevé lors de mon arrivée et dont ils m'ont assuré que cela ne serait pas débité de mon compte. Ils ont soi-disant annulé la préautorisation avant que je procède au paiement de mon séjour mais je me retrouve maintenant avec ces 495 dollars de pré-autorisation débité, en plus de mon séjour. Ces pratiques de préautorisation encaissée puis annulée sont vraiment floues. C'est du vol. C'est inacceptable et malhonnête de la part d'une grande chaîne. C'est indécent de n'avoir aucun service client pouvant/souhaitant régler ce litige. Attention, c'est déjà arrivé à d'autres clients (avis TripAdvisor). 3 day stay for a work mission. It's been a month now that the Radisson has refused to reimburse me for the pre-authorization payment ($495) that they took when I arrived and which they assured me would not be debited from my account. They supposedly canceled the pre-authorization before I payed for my stay, but now I'm left with this $495 pre-authorization charge, in addition to my stay. These practices of pre-authorization being cashed and then canceled seem really vague. This is theft. This is unacceptable and dishonest from a major chain. It is indecent to have no customer service that can/wishes to resolve this dispute. Be careful, this has already happened to other customers (TripAdvisor review)

I was traveling for work, and the first part of my trip was pretty good. The staff were friendly and helpful, and even found me a doctor when I got sick one evening. The breakfast was excellent. Wifi was pretty reliable. But it was a loud hotel. Initially there was some construction going on outside the window of my room, so even when my room got a bit stuffy it was hard to keep the window open long because of the noise. Then later in the week there were about 200 young athletes staying in the hotel and it descended into chaos. It's a really well-located hotel, and so you may still choose to stay. If you find it too loud, I recommend walking around the corner to Paradise Restaurant (actually I recommend this anyway!) the atmosphere is a peaceful buzz of excitement and the food is delicious!!

I needed a place to stay that had reasonably access to the south of the city. The price of this establishment is very competitive and for Antananarivo it offers good value for money. The dining menu is limited but acceptable if you do not like Italian cuisine. I'm not a great pasts fan at all. The zebu and duck is really good, as are the vegetables that are served with it. However, breakfast leaves a lot to be desired. There is no freshly fried eggs and bacon available. Pre-cooked eggs are on display, but are ice cold and not very palatable at all. The selection of cold breakfast is limited. Fresh fruit salad is great! Pastries are terrible! Coffee is really fantastic! There is a comfortable bar and deck area with a decent selection to choose from. The rooms are very comfortable with amazing beds! There are no facilities in the room such as bar fridge, kettle, etc. Overall, a very good place to stay that is well located.

Positive experience

Located in the heart of Thana, the surroundings are relatively comfortable and safe. The house is very old but clean and tidy and the waiters are friendly and welcoming. The room is small and the sink, shower and toilet are separated into 3 places, which is quite unusual. The French restaurant on the first floor is delicious and relatively inexpensive. The price/performance ratio of the hotel in Thana is not bad.
