This hotel was like taken to a horror movie. We checked in and at first we thought this would be a good thing since it was next to the famous arc and booked by Tikal Go! Well I was beyond wrong! The hotel rooms are awful, the ones by the garden stink really bad. The rooms by the fountain are awful they have mold, ripped mattresses and sofas. The wood is all full of termites. The bell rings all night! Awful , you won’t sleep. We requested to be moved rooms and they did but it wasn’t any better. Then we asked for a different hotel and we found out they own other awful hotels in Antigua and our tour company wasn’t budging until we offered to pay more. Do not stay at this hotel. The waiter also tried charging us more by telling us a different amount than our actual receipt. The reception was friendly and I didn’t want to give them attitude but this place should be closed. See my pictures! That was for the second room and that was supposed to be better.

The only good thing is the location. Very friendly staff at check in. Now for the room; was less than basic. Worst beds, think cardboard. Old beds and sheets. The bells from the convent go off 24 hours, cannot get a good night sleep. I think they don’t do many updates since they will get people to booked the hotel because of the location. At check out they will check the room before you can leave. Booked a different hotel for the last night, half the price and much much better. So many other options in Antigua.

I will NEVER stay here again. In addition to it being loud until 10pm because there is a restaurant in the courtyard, ALL night, every hour, someone rang a bell in the courtyard. Then workers started making noise at 6:45am. The pipes are also very loud. Earplugs and headphones did not help. I am beyond exhausted 😭😭😭😭😭

Para mi gusto uno de los mejores hoteles ubicados en Antigua, ya que esta justo al costado izquierdo del Arco. Su arquitectura es muy bella, las habitaciones son amplias. El personal d hotel es muy amable y la comida es rica. Lo recomiendo ampliamente para sus vacaciones en antigua.

We loved the hotel. It has so much history. The grounds were beautiful, the rooms were large, comfortable and clean. The the location was excellent. You step outside and your in front of the historic arch. Dinner was great. We had a large group but had no problem being served quickly.

Actually we visited for two nights in March and four nights during Semana Santa. The location is wonderful. The staff is very nice and helpful. We loved the idea of being in a historic building. The reservation s were made through a local travel agent months prior. The first room was dark and had no air flow. It was right next to the kitchen so there were a lot of kitchen sounds starting at 6am. We told the travel agent that we wanted a quiet room when we returned. On our second stay we were in a tiny room with no way to have fresh air in the room and no air conditioning. The bathroom sink only had cold water. The people next door were very noisy. This was not. 3 star hotel.

My daughter and I had a great stay. It was interesting to stay in the pretty historic building. We enjoyed our spacious and unique room. The bathroom was ok. The staff were all very nice and helpful. We enjoyed breakfast everyday and it was always good (we had some deal that a limited selection was included, but the selected items were filling and delicious). The location is obviously great. The noise didn't bother us too much. Yes, the noise comes in, so don't plan on sleeping in too much because of the street noise. But with some earplugs we got a goo night's sleep every night. We didn't have any issues with noise from bands or anything, but we were off the back courtyard, away from all that.

Très bon hôtel, très bien placé, juste à côté de l’arche de Santa Catalina, certainement le monument le plus photographié d’Antigua. Chambres spacieuses, wifi excellent. Personnel au petit soin, je remercie particulièrement Guadalupe et Magda qui se sont occupées de nous faire parvenir à Guatemala City une paire de chaussures oubliées à l’hôtel.

Pasé 3 noches en este hotel que es posiblemente el mejor ubicado de Antigua. Se ubica justo debajo del emblemático arco de Santa Catalina. Destaco como primer punto la atención del personal, se llevan un 10, Lupita y Magda súper lindas y serviciales. Las habitaciones son muy cómodas y la calidad de los alimentos es excelente también. Tuvimos un pequeño detalle, en una ocasión no había agua caliente y en la otra, no había agua, pero lo resolvieron rápido. Recomiendo ampliamente este lugar.
