Meson Panza Verde

I not only enjoy going here with my husband but I also love taking private staycations at this hotel. I’m still close to my family but sometimes you just need that little step away to treat yourself and Panza Verde has ALWAYS made that an excellent decision. Extremely beautiful, comfortable, friendly and great room service. What more do you need?

This was a gorgeous hotel! The property is lush and luxurious while still feeling comfortable and relaxing - a little oasis in the city. The location is great - just a short walk to the town center. The room was a little smaller than expected but the beds were comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The little terrace was lovely to have, although you will get mosquitos in your room with the doors open. Breakfast and dinner were tasty but I wish they had vegan options labeled on the menu. I was able to cobble together a breakfast plate from the sides of the other dishes (beans, potatoes, plantains, tortillas, fruit) and the morning juice was delicious, but dinner was much harder. The drinks were excellent though, and the service is top tier. We ended up eating dinner there twice during our stay.

Absolutely fantastic stay. Beautiful colonial vibe in the quieter south side of the city. Still walkable to city center and any number of coffee shops and locations. Staff is superb - attentive without being stuffy, but always there when you need them. Food is incredible, including the breakfast. One of the best boutique hotels I've stayed at. I look forward to returning many any times!!!!

Boutique hotel close to Central Park but beware …standard rooms are small, no AC, no cable tv and rooms are not very private. I had one of the lower rooms right next to the restaurant and it was very loud. The room was very tight and you could hear people fart next door. The staff are all lovely and couldn’t do enough for you. The restaurant has decent food but nothing to rave about.

It would seem unfair to give this hotel an average score but very good seems a bit generous. The location is just a short walk from the main part of Antigua, so it is very well situated. We had suite No 6 which is big but the balcony is not private at all and overlooks the central area where the outside dining is- plus a walk way up to the roof terrace. That said it does have a nice hammock that you can relax in. The room was cavernous and the bed comfortable but little touches missing (there is lovely soap, shampoo/ body lotion in the bathroom but no cotton wool, slippers etc) The pool is not really a pool- it's within the hotel restaurant so it's only available up till 11am The breakfast menu is very limited but it was fine, if you don't like eggs though you may struggle, the waiters were always lovely (but why make them wear such formal stuffy attire?) the outside setting for breakfast (or lunch/dinner) is lovely we had dinner one night in the "cave" restaurant, the food was great, huge portions... Had a drink in the bar but felt a little soulless. The big issue for us was that 2 out of the 3 nights the venue next door played VERY loud music which was not great. at one point I could feel every single vibration of the beat... when we asked at reception they did say "they usually stop by 10pm" which to be fair they did. Was this hotel awful, absolutely not, there are some great things to like about it but would we stay again, I doubt it, there are other better options in Antigua I feel.

Gorgeous boutique Hotel, with many hidden areas that make it so special. Including a large rooftop w private corners. Every room is different and special. The staff is very accommodating, welcoming and helpful. The restaurant is beautiful and has great food. Walking distance to the main plaza. Private, not noisy and very safe. We totally recommend this hotel.

This is a follow-up review. Arrived 01/27/24, had two nights of impossibly loud electronic noise. From a venue next door. The vibrations shook the room.Finally, Monday night, it was quiet, as it should be. Had a nice peaceful evening after a busy day of sightseeing. Highly recommend contacting the hotel regarding the "music" venue schedule next door.

Hotel is fabulous, staff wonderful , restaurant very good BUT the place next door plays horribly loud electronic noise, I cannot elevate it to music. Completely destroyed the ambiance of this hotel. Goes on for hours at night, hard to sleep. Very sad and disappointed on my birthday vacation.

We spent a few days at the hotel for a family gathering over Thanksgiving. The hotel is beautiful. The daily breakfast included was not very inspired. We generally had good service and a good time. However, one of the nights two people entered our daughter’s room during the night (at approximately 2 am). The hotel said they reviewed their video footage and that it was one person (the night guard) who entered. Our daughter and her husband both saw two men. Lastly, on the last morning of our stay, no one (4 rooms) had any hot water for showering. These experiences and their lack of resolution or even nominal compensation for the inconveniences were not consistent with the cost and expected level of service.
