Hotels near Berchem Station, Antwerp

Friendly counter and allowed to go to my twin room 4 hours early. Very clean hotel with towels and water supplied. No kettle but I think this must Bea Belgian thing. The station is opposite but it is 20 min walk to the old town. Fine for me but some may want to be nearer. The walk there is the main shopping street. Overall I think it was great value. As a note to other guests, and I always write this, please be more considerate when talking in the corridors especially before 8am. Whisper, your voice echoes and sound meds like you’re shouting. And don’t allow to doors to slam shut!!

We are two women in our late 60's and early 70's, we were checked in after 3. We took the elevator then had to go up 6 or 7 stairs lugging our luggage. We get in our room and it was the size of a closet. I called front desk, I was ready to move hotels. We were moved to bigger room, didn't realize the smell wasn't from room not being used, it smelled like sewer gas. The staff came and smelled the room the next day and said they would give us a new room. This one was acceptable. It looked out at train station and ferris wheel. I asked the evening desk clerk a question about catching a train next day. He was very helpful and told me to stop with my info in morning so he could look at it. When I went down this morning, I was met by a young lady with dark hair and a man, Oliver, I told him I was told to stop by desk. He told me, the train station is over there, go ask them. I found most staff friendly, but Oliver rude. Also, the fact that we had to move rooms 3 times. I don't know that I would stay again.

Attractive common area. Friendly checkin staff. Well appointed rooms a little on the small side. Housekeeping only every other day. Come on covid is over. Tome yo get back to regular schedule. Breakfast is an extra but not great we you consider the cost. Fair price.

I stayed recently in this hotel near Antwerpen Central and the centre and I was very happy with my stay. The location was perfect, close to the train station and the brushed city centre. The area was also very clean and safe. The staff was very friendly and helpful, so I immediately felt welcome. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with all the facilities I needed. It was a pleasant day to come back to a clean and comfortable room. I can recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a pleasant stay in Antwerp. I look forward to staying here again in the future!

A lovely hotel and right where you need to be if visiting Antwerp, it's ideally located near bars, restaurants, shopping and near the diamond quarter. Nice clean room with a large bed, no tea or coffee facilities but you can go upstairs to the sixth floor and use the machines (if working). The only issue I had was I needed to use the hairdryer and after about 2 minutes use it stopped working, that is the only problem I had. Would definitely use this hotel again, it's the perfect place. And before I forget I did ask a member of staff how to get to the brewery and someone else gave me directions, thank you very much am sorry I didn't get your name but it's appreciated

Came by the other day and it was a decent experience, although with some bizarre quirks. Booked direct for the ”Executive Family Studio with Kitchen” and the front desk agent printed out a contract with a ”Deluxe Studio.” When I inquired about the difference, another employee quickly chimed in that I ”got upgraded” and my original room had no kitchen?!? As the ”Executive Studio with Kitchen” has kitchen in the name, I inquired a second time, and the employee raised her voice saying that the room was the same?!? A 3rd employee eventually came in, after reviewing their own website, and started talking about the Penthouse suite (completely irrelevant?!?). Attempted to use the laundry room located behind the secure door using my keycard and had to answer 21 questions to the front desk agent with my room number, my full name, and the company I was representing (all with a load of dirty laundry in my arms), which was completely bizarre. At 7 am, the agent claimed that someone on my floor booked a taxi?!? (also completely irrelevant?!?) The studio itself was pretty spacious, although with some quicks. For example, the bathroom was dated, unlike the pictures on the website. More importantly, it was bizarre to have a handheld shower installed on the long side of the bathtub, vs the short side?!? ...also might have been helpful to use a curved shower curtain to make showering less claustrophobic... Water pressure was usable although the shower curtain had a strange smell... Highlights of the studio included the comfortable bed, although slightly lumpy in areas, with quality sheets and towels. The kitchen itself was modern and fully stocked, including 2 bottles of water in the kitchen. The ”welcome gift” appeared to be the 2 dishwashing tablets and manual dishwashing liquid... Booking direct, the confirmation indicated that there would be a ”welcome drink upon arrival” Perhaps the 2 bottles of water in the fridge was it?!? Other anomalies included super dark lighting at night. The lighting was insufficient in the dining area, which made it quite dark to work and read in. There was a freestanding light that helped provide additional lighting in the sleeping area. It was also odd to see that the room number listed on my in room telephone was different from the one on my door?!? The laundry room was complimentary and fantastic! There was also complimentary laundry detergent. A wash takes 2-3 hours and a dry takes 1+ hour. The signage against the wall with instructions on how to use the washing machine didn't match the actual washing machine which was confusing at best...

A great hotel. Price/quality was okay. The room was fine and very clean and the bed was fine. The shower was a little less. When you left the mixer on the same position it felt like a ice bath, the second after you were screwed your ball from your back, but fortunately this was well cooled back. The free exchange-bathing arrangement provided the ”working class” wellness experience!

Citybox is a functional hotel along Molenbergstraat. It is a 10-12 minute walk from Antwerp Central Station and around 10-15 minute walk to the main sightseeing area of the city. We recently had a good multi night stay and would consider booking Citybox here in Antwerp or one of their sister properties elsewhere in Europe based on our experience. Booking was made through the Citybox website where we found best room rates. Self check-in when we arrived at the property was simple to use, smart card key was issued and we were in our room within just a few minutes. Lobby was large with comfortable and atmospheric seating. There is an eatery on the ground floor which opens early. Second floor had washing machine facility. While there is no front desk, there are staff in the office next to the lift if they are needed. Rooms are spacious with simple decor and furnishing. Bathroom was fine, shower water pressure good. Importantly, bed was generally comfortable. Lighting, heating and wifi all worked just fine. Note, the room is fairly minimalist, no TV, in room safe, kettle, hand towels and other amenities that you usually find in traditional hotels. All is fine if you know what you are getting into with Citybox. We felt, they got the important things right and offered a good stay experience for the room rates being offered and their location in Antwerp.

Well there are not enough words to describe this beautiful hotel . The location was perfect the facilities the staff all very helpful . The breakfast was one of the best Hilton's I have stayed at for a long time . Fresh fruits great eggs and breads . So much choice and the staff were so helpful . Thank you all

If it wasn't for the fact my room seemed unkempt, this hotel would have been perfect. The bathroom seem to have issues with the plumbing, and the bed sheets were stained. 🤮 I hope it was an isolated case, regardless, unacceptable! Everything else was fantastic, the hotel personal was professional, friendly, and polite. The breakfast was amazing, very good quality buffet (not included). The location was amazing, only 100 meters from the train station (a straight shot to Brussels airport), about a 10 minute walk to Old Town. Shops and good restaurants can be found in the immediate surroundings.
