Overall a very comfortable hotel with fantastic staff and unexpectedly good food. We were here overnight as part of a long tour around the country. + Staff were incredibly professional yet friendly. Upon arrival, we received a welcome dunk while the bellboy heaved both our massive suitcases up the stairs. + The food was not only tasty but well presented- what I would expect at a 5* resort. In fact the quality of the fruit was better than that of the 5* resort we came from. There was even a palate cleanser of sorbet between the soup and main courses (and we had a second basket of the delicious bread). At breakfast there was a buffet as well as an omelet station. + the service during dinner was impeccable and Manoj was especially attentive, professional and also friendly. He was smiley and interested in us, while also making sure everything was in order. He really looked after us both at dinner and breakfast. - The hotel is very dated. It’s clean but looks like a 2.5* place. It was a bit surreal to have a 5* food and service experience in such a dated place. - Room was spacious and clean (shampoo, shower gel, dental kit, tea, coffee, water, fridge, TV), but again dated. It was odd to have a third unfoldable bed in the room- I would have just removed it and put a decorative item there. Or given us a smaller room without the third bed, as the hotel had very few guests. Overall, very positive experience and certainly served its purpose.
